Lucky me gets to write the first review for Lostria.. I think? I feel like this is not the full, proper game, but a beta test, but this is unclear from the store page exactly what you’re getting into. For that reason, in an exception to my general rule (in fact for the first time in over 5,000 Steam reviews), I’ll invite the developer to correct me if I’m wrong about my observations and opinions about this game, because it does appear to be completely free, which earns developers a large amount of goodwill.

I usually never leave reviews on games. But this is such an ambitious game made by 2 people only. So almost for that reason alone it deserves a positive review. However, should you buy this game? If you want something polished, smooth and without bugs, then you should definitely not buy this game. It has a fair amount bugs, bad animations, and auditory issues.

With all that being said, the game delivers on it’s intended purpose almost flawlessly. You can generate a level (Island or dungeon) design it completely as you wish and i don’t even want to go into detail, about how in debt you can go with everything. NPC behavior, quests, factions, world building, what areas of the map have what sounds or music, light sources. (Probably) Everything that exists in a engine for making games exists within this games editor. I haven’t found something i haven’t been able to do yet. And the best part about all this? You can continuously expand you world, you can keep making new levels and link them together by using something called portals.

Disclaimer: I backed the Indiegogo campaign, so it may show that I entered a key rather than purchased from steam directly.

Promising game with lots of potential. The inclusion of mod tools from day 1 is very nice to see, and I hope that modders will pick this game up and begin to make their own campaigns and content with it. The devs seem to be pretty active, and have been checking feedback from yesterday when the game released.

Update 10/24/2020: It looks like the devs have fixed the UI bug that I’ve been having. I was able to play for some time before putting the game down for the night, with zero issues on that problem.

Zombie Ballz

Zombie Ballz

Simple fun puzzle game, direct / redirect the rolling balls that have varying characteristics and kill the zombies whilst avoiding killing the good citizenes of errrr-i-dont-actually-know-where-ville.

Very recommended. 7/10. But I liked the wacky bosses in Save Jesus more, they had more character and better cutscenes..There haven’t been any boss cutscenes in Zombie Ballz and I’m half-way through now.

Tip: Right-click to stop the camera zoom/panning.

This game to me has many flaws and many positive points.

We’ve seen thousands of “ball” physics games, in which you have to make your way through many different levels, using different kinds of weapons/balls, working your way out by timing shoots, creating your mental scheme, anticipate the position of the enemies when you have blown up one or two barrels/crates/bombs and so on.

I mean, there’s a lot of these games.. physics puzzle games are one of the most played category in Flash websites and not only.

Elemental War - A Tower Defense Game

Elemental War - A Tower Defense Game

If you are a Tower Defense addict, get Elemental War. You will like it. While it is currently in development through Early Access, it is enjoyable now, and I only foresee it getting better.

In the beginning of a game, you can only build a basic arrow tower. After every 5 levels, an enemy representing one of 7 elements comes out. When you destroy it, you can use that element to upgrade your towers. You will need 2 of that element to upgrade those towers to level 2, and 3 for the max upgrade. (Based on game mode, the element is either random or chosen by you.)

A good selection of tower and a multitude of different strategies make this a pretty good game. It’s filling my need for a different tower defence game until the new GC very nicely.

Fight The Dragon

Fight The Dragon

Its been very seldom in my PC-gaming life that I have discovered a true gem of a game. FTD is such a game. I will break it all down into three parts: single player, online play ( multi-player), and creative. But first one thing that strikes me from the start: the graphic design of the game is such that it will ( or should) run on low-end computers. The visuals are, for lack of a better term- quirky. Its like a cross between Legos games and LBW with a dash of WoW.

*Single player- In single player you go to an “adventure” screen where you can bring up an incredible assortment of maps to play on. It should be noted ( im guessing here) that over 90% of the availible maps are created BY OTHER PLAYERS. This is both a blessing and a curse: Player-made content is wide and varied. You may get a great and fun map; you may get one that was obviously made by a ADD 12-year old.

If you are into Indie games and like Diablo or similar titles,

it’s definetly worth buying.

it’s a no brainer as steam sale, but also worth the full price.

I have seen some minor negative reviews, who seem to ignore, this game is an indie game.

So keep that in mind and don’t expect it providing features or graphics like a AAA-game such as Diablo 3, etc.

Also at the beginning, you should use the filter and only play well rated adventures.

The battle system is relatively simple, although the RPG-aspects regarding your character (stats, abilities) are probably as complex as the ones in Diablo 3.
