Okay, I loved this game. I thought it was the best LEGO game I’ve ever played… At least until I unexpectedly hit the end of the game right at the end of The Desolation of Smaug. I thought it was the complete game, I didn’t bother to read any reviews and so was very annoyed/angry when I hit the equivalent of a brick wall going at 70 mph because I thought I still had a whole third of the game to still get through.
Of course they did put enough sidequests and characters in that I’m still working on 100% completion but I still felt quite cheated and betrayed when I found out that there was no Battle of the Five Armies, and no plans for a DLC ever. =,(

The LEGO® Movie - Videogame
Not only was the movie awesome, but the game was as well!
This is coming from a person who grew up with Lego and it’s games, so it makes sense that another lego game would be another one of my favorites now, making this part a very biased review of it. But this one in particular was extra special to me since I absolutly LOVED the movie since the trailers came out to it’s release in theaters. Graphics, gameplay, and technical bugs aside, the overall atmosphere of the “LEGO MOVIE” universe is insanley appealing to me with it’s viberant colors and use of almost everything made entirely out of Lego bricks made into incredibly awesome designs. Great characters and plot for a Lego based game/movie. It also had a great soundtrack to it, which is barely mentioned by others. Despite other crowd opinion being almost opposite to mine, I still rate this as one of the BEST Lego games from my personal standing, able to look past some of it’s flaws in gameplay.

In short, is the game good?
Yes, it’s very good.
Is it worth my time and money?
Yes it is. Although, if you’re having doubts about paying full price, I’d strongly suggest to wait for a -50% sale.
Is this game for anyone?
Yes. The game can be enjoyed by both kids and adults.
Linear, open-world or something else?
The game uses hub worlds which house connected, individual levels. Very reminiscent of late 90s platformer games. There’s a lot of stuff to do in each hub world and the connected levels. Expect around 10-13 hours of playtime to reach the ending and around 20-24 hours to 100% the game.

Islet Online
Still playing yes, Game, itself is fascinating where you can hunt animals, for food an raw materials, you can even flood the world at one point, PVP is option too. I haven’t tried it yet. I did have events like bunnies bunnies everywhere…not bunny to drop. If you get that.(died by kamikaze bunny) believe for one exception you could build towering mazes and mazes,
I did see castles and cathereadals somewhere people are building amazing structures.
You can upload your latest creation to steam where they showcase it,

This review is for the current version of the game(2/7/16)
What is Islet Online? Islet Online is a creative open world sandbox, similar to Minecraft. This game features an experience system that allows you to level up in pretty much everything like jumping, crafting, fighting and much more. These can directly effect your play experience, for example, you may be able to eventually jump up to 4 times in the air. It actually reminds me of McMMO from the old Minecraft Bukkit days….

Box Nation [] Lets Go Build and Fight
It’s essentially mini lego RTS game. I had more fun with my actual legos though.
Some ways this could be vastly improved
-
building paths is a nightmare of spamming the 1 key. Producing warriors is also a headache. They each have their own purpose so simply make default builders/warriors from the mother cube
-
Along with this you could make path building a heck of a lot easier by simply click dragging a desired strip of path and have the builders automaticially build when they are created.
-
Paths that are created should be permenant (nothing worse than accidently misclicking a path to be luminencent and having 20+ cubes slowly fall into the abyss).

Box Nation [] Lets Go Build and Fight is an abandoned early access sandbox game ripoff of Lego™ Worlds which should probably get sued by the Lego corporation because it’s a pretty blatant ripoff.
The game was abandoned shortly after Early Access launch and will likely never be completed. The game is unfinished and features minimalist Lego bricks, with only minimal effort put into shading and so on. The gameplay and interface are equally unpolished, clunky and unpleasant.
The developer is charging a whopping $10 USD for this garbage, and they’ve unethically sold keys to the game in bulk to bundle sellers, as if it was complete. What a train wreck. Obviously I can’t recommend this to anyone.

Blockland
I have been playing this game for 10 years now, and this is my attempt at an actual, objective based view of Blockland.
When it comes to gameplay, Blockland is what I consider to be the best lego-based sandbox building game to ever be released. theres no strings attached. you click “start a game” and you are almost immediately thrown into a blank slate and are free to build whatever you want, however you want, when you want. Whatever brick, item, or vehicle is not provided by default, the community’s faithful addon creators have provided for you. Blockland also comes with a intuitve and dynamic eventing system which allows you to assign functions to bricks. This game also supports gamemode functionality. You can host freebuilds, deathmatches, treasure hunts, and even community created gamemodes such as falling tiles, jailbreaks, drawing games, parties, development servers, RPGs, and more.

Due to this game’s hard-coded limitations, the concept could only be taken so far. But, considering the base technology that it runs on (old Source engine, I think?) Eric and the gang did a great job with this game.
I have many happy, sad, beautiful, ugly, and downright crazy memories playing it. I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world.
I would say, as cheesy as it might sound, that the experiences that this game gave me really did shape me as a person, and is jointly responsible for who I am today. I’m not kidding. Many may feel the same way.

BIONICLE: Masks of Power
Disclaimer - This is an unofficial fan game produced and provided 100% free-of-charge under rules and policies provided by The LEGO Group.
BIONICLE: Masks of Power is an all-new open world adventure set in the BIONICLE universe. Currently in development by Team Kanohi, BIONICLE: Masks of Power retells the legendary stories of BIONICLE’s initial launch in 2001. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 4, Mata Nui and its inhabitants have been completely re-imagined for the modern day. Revisit beloved locations and characters, enjoy thrilling open-world gameplay and get lost in the BIONICLE universe all over again.
Discover Mata Nui
The ancient tropical island of Mata Nui is home to beautiful vistas, formidable dangers, and countless mysteries. Once a tranquil paradise, Mata Nui’s inhabitants have been cast into shadow by the dark spirit known only as the Makuta. Tribes of brave Matoran villagers struggle to survive, placing their hopes in the arrival of legendary Toa heroes. Discover the island’s six distinct regions, brave its perils, and unlock its secrets in this all-new open-world adventure.
Challenge the Rahi
The dark spirit Makuta has cast his shadow on Mata Nui and its inhabitants. Fearsome Rahi beasts roam the lands, their masks infected with the Makuta’s influence. You must face these formidable guardians on your quest to obtain the Kanohi masks of power and defeat the Makuta.
Find the Power
Play as each of six Toa heroes, prophesied warriors washed ashore on the island’s beaches. Wielders of great elemental power, each Toa must collect the twelve Kanohi masks of power if they hope to challenge the Makuta. It’s up to you to help the Toa complete their quest, find the hidden masks of power, and cast aside the Makuta’s shadow. The fate of Mata Nui is in your hands.
Operation Outsmart
Operation Outsmart is an open-world sandbox RPG where you build wacky machines and recruit wacko koalas to save the world from those pesky robotic minions.
Build wacky machines
Build the most ridiculous vehicles from the large collection of basic, engineering, and special parts. Customise the look of your parts and bind keys to the operable parts. When you’re done, put a driver seat and hop behind the wheel.
Explore the open-world
Explore the vast open-world with your build or on foot. Speak to the koalas, they may reveal secrets or give you quests. The quests are either puzzle or combat, but either way, you will be generously rewarded with new parts, weapons, and most importantly, the koalas trust!
Recruit warrior koalas
Gain the koalas trusts by doing the quests and one by one they will become available for recruitment. They are very good with weapons (they get too excited with bazookas!) so make sure to mount the recruited koalas on your build so they can operate the vast variety of available weapons.
Fight the minions
Those pesky minions have taken the world and the koalas are not happy. You can control the mounted koalas to fight the minions with melee, ranged or explosive weapons. Minions drop XP orbs and metals. Make sure to collect them, they are very much needed!
Create new alloys
Are your builds too heavy? Do they break apart easily? You can reinforce your machines with alloys. At the Foundry, simply mix the different metal elements that you collected from the minions to create new alloys with unexpected properties. You never know what that extra 4% of Chromium can do!
Level-up your koalas
Those XP orbs you collected? Use them to unlock exciting abilities from the skills tree. The minions wouldn’t like it!
Home Creator
I really wanted to enjoy this game, but found myself very disappointed to find that the amount of items you can use to decorate is very very limited. Also the lack of any info on how to move the camera or place items was annoying but it was easy enough to figure out on my own. It has potential to be good if more objects and wall/floor options could be added but as this game stands right now I can not recommend it. But if your looking for a cheap home decorating game and don’t care about very limited options then this is a good one to choose.
