Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story
I am a huge fan of the Valthirian Arc flash games on Kongregate, and I will sink hours into them, creating stories for my students and being really eager to see how they grow and evolve- I truly love those games. So with flash no longer being supported after this year, I was thrilled to discover I could buy the next iteration on steam and show my support for the developer.
Coming in with this high expectation, I was deeply disappointed. Playing through the game, you can see the seeds of fantastic ideas- a Game of Thrones style division of kingdoms, diverse maps and styles of missions, unique student classes and trees. However, none of these ideas come to fruition, and are stunted by a number of bugs in the game itself. There’s no personality to the kingdoms until the ending cutscenes- and no bonuses or reason to ally with any of them other than using their missions for leveling your students. The maps become highly predictable and tedious, and the random generator was constantly giving me strength based students - and without individually clicking on each recruit, no way to scroll through recruit options- so my teams were terribly unbalanced. Which, I discovered, didn’t matter at all, so long as my students had high level weapons, which I could use to artificially boosts student stats in their weak area (You’re dex based? Take a dagger that adds 200 strength). At the same time, I had no idea of those stats affected them (why does a Knight or Scout need MP? Does Dex boost attack speed for all classes? Does strength boost my Mage’s attack power, or only their intelligence?). Moreover, besides their special ability, I don’t understand the differences (if any) between the top tiers of students- why would a paladin be more useful versus arc draconus of the same level? The difficulty systems means nothing after the first chapter, because one or two star missions can be just as difficult as four stars, which can also be pitifully easy. This is frustrating because when I (am FORCED to, as opposed to previous systems where you could stockpile Fame for the next requirement) graduate my high level students, it’s really hard to get my new apprentices up to a workable level when the only options for grinding exp is the two “training” missions that don’t award XP for completion (and you earn a pitiful amount for defeating every creature on the map). These are things I could learn to live with, even enjoy, but the game itself is terribly bugging. If my students level up on the mission, there’s a good chance they glitch and cannot attack or interact with items, although I can control and move them, which makes the game think I can still finish the quest when I can’t. Several times the game crashed when I loaded it and started specific missions. Many of the arrows that allow you to scroll through menus don’t actually work, and I have no way of scrolling through my buildings, rooms, or floors. The list goes on.

I backed this on Kickstarter and they delivered a decent product. It’s not a terrible game. It’s just middle of the road and you could probably be playing something better.
The game play loop has you level up heroes, make a skill choice or two, and then change to an advanced class and start leveling up again. Every “semester” you’re supposed to graduate at least 1 student in exchange for getting a ton of money and “fame” which allows you access to the advanced classes. As the game goes on, a character’s max level for different classes gets higher which gives them access to more abilities within that class. You’re encouraged to graduate characters at max level, so you need to be earning your graduates a lot more experience as the game goes on.

Super Robot Wars 30
I don’t usually write reviews for games on Steam but this being the first international release of a mainline Super Robot Wars game, I decided to make an exception. I’ve been a fan of SRW since I was a teenager back when the original OG game released on the GBA in English and I’ve been playing the games (old and new) ever since- so I went in with high hopes for SRW 30.
I was extremely pleased with the new Tactical Area system. You’re allowed to progress through the world to your own pace and liking. While non-linear elements have been in past games, SRW 30 dials the scope WAY up. SRW always had replay value in terms of story, but being able to play the game you like with the story unfolding in the order you choose really goes to show how much love and passion Terada and his team put in.

If you’re a fan of mecha in general, this will be your wet dream.

I came into this knowing really nothing about the game, I was just a fan of the Mazinger series and wanted to have Mazinkaiser punch some Kikaiju, but I’ve discovered a lot of new series that I’m now genuinely interested in, namely Mobile Suit Gundam. The gameplay is pretty relaxing, not posing too much of a challenge, but remaining engaging. The animations are very well done. Each character keeps the art style of their source material, which I find charming.

TS FANTASY is a world with social hierarchy called Linne.
The top class is comprised of the Saba family, who descended the powers of the son of God. Below the Saba family are the top class Sapiens, upper middle class Canis, and middle class Inura, and the lowest slave class Peni Planeta.
● Main Character
The main character is an ordinary boy who one day finds out that he has superpowers. He has no family as they have passed away.
Special Abilities: Reverse time (Singularity)
The main character has the ability to reverse time and go back into the past. However, as he cannot fully control his powers, he transfers to TS High School.
● Binggoo Heo
Binggoo is a girl full of mysteries. Her codename is Black cat, and she is on a special mission. She loves cats.

Danull is a genius who earned a doctorate in medicine at a young age of 20. She discovered her superpowers from her creation of the special ability tracking device.
Danull works as a school nurse in TS High School and takes care of students. She is also a gamer and often plays games in the nurse’s office.

Danull can control people by using charm.
● Hobin Ji
Hobin is the class representative who has a strong sense of responsibility. With a tsundere personality, Hobin guides the main character and helps him in school. Hobin likes to dance with cute dolls and is somewhat aware of Mulbakbak’s behaviors.
Special Ability: Ruby Crown
Hobin can easily control and manipulate fire.
● Camping Car
Camping Car has a cheerful and positive personality. Camping Car is a fan of military tools and always carries an emotionally attached tank called Michelle.
Special Ability: Tank Crush
Camping Car can use psychokinesis to move emotionally attached military machines without touching them.
● Mulbakbak
Mulbakbak is from a noble family and she has lived abroad during her childhood. Unlike her looks, she is an innocent girl and loves soccer. She normally hangs out with her childhood friends Akgom and Ethia.
Special Ability: Aqua Scratch
Mulbakbak can control water and create aqua blades.
● Endorphin
Endorphin is a girl who loves programming. She is in the science department and is often seen working on machines and programming. Endorphin is a shy person who might seem blunt, but she has an innocent and child-like side. She has big breasts.
Special Ability: Demon Explosion
Endorphin can increase the weight of gravity.
● Shio Tebasaki
Shio is born from a witch family, but as she could not stand the strict traditions from her family, she ran away from home. She is currently exploring different countries to find her new life.
Special Ability: Sky Wing
Shio can sense the air current and has the ability to fly.
● Riker
Ryker has an easy-going and boyish personality and enjoys spending time outdoors riding bikes and playing games. Ryker visits the nurse’s office often to play games or get treated from the wounds from playing with his bike.

Ryker can move with very fast speed.
● Terra
Terra is the leader of Kiralika who became an idol by meeting Gom producer while working at Gomgom convenience store. Tera is looking for her missing dad and has a tsundere but affectionate personality.

Hanarin is the vocalist of Kiralika and has worked the longest at Gomgom convenience store. She dropped out of middle school and has lived as a hikikomori before. Her parents are in Sapiens class, which is the top social class. It’s hard to know what she is thinking about.

LooLoo is a member of Kiralika and has a free-spirited nature.
She is an 232-year-old alien from outer space who crashed into Gomgom convenience store. LooLoo is pretty
famous in outer space as she is also known as the red devil.
She likes playing games and watching manga and is often seen playing games in the nurse’s office.

● Nyumgon
Nyumgon is always quiet and often listens to music with headphones in the classroom. Nyumgon is a shy person and does not like standing out.
Special Ability: Perfect Sniper
Nyumgon can throw any object to any direction and hit perfectly straight.
● Ethia
Ethia is a feminine-looking boy who is very kind to other girls. Ethia is often seen with Mulbakbak, who is a childhood friend.
Special Ability: Invisible Shield
Ethia can distort light and make people or objects invisible.
● Akgom
Akgom has a cheerful and friendly personality. Akgom enjoys wearing sweatsuits and is popular to girls. Akgom is often seen with Mulbakbak, who is a childhood friend.
Special Ability: Beast Lightning
Akgom can turn into a beast and have enhanced physical skills. After transformation, Akgom sometimes loses the ability to think clearly.

Apart from Kiralika and the main character, the character designs in TS FANTASY is targeted for my male Twitch channel viewers who has been a big support to me. To thank my viewers, I opened a character design event.
In addition, ‘TS’ means ‘Tsu’ which indicates Twitch viewers in Korean. ‘TS’ also means ‘Trans Sexual’, as male viewers can experience gaming as a female character. Since this game was inspired by FF FANTASY, we decided to name this game ‘TS FANTASY’.
The OST from TS FANTASY is created by Hanarin. With your help, we hope to create more music to further improve our game. With music, you would be able to imagine and recall TS FANTASY whenever you hear our OST. We will add some of the music here, so please go and check our music.

Alphadia Genesis 2
Alphadia Genesis was such a fun romp, I had my hopes too high for AG2. If you’ve ever played a KEMCO game, you know they’re story heavy, dialog intensive, romance jrpgs. AG2 isn’t really that. There’s less story, less playtime, and fewer options with your characters. My playtime’s higher because I did the maiden arenas and was curious about the Hero energi class (which I didn’t even use after maxing it out), otherwise this game would have been done in far less time.
The voice acting is still there, and the characters are still fun. The random grammar error from translation is always amusing, too. The most redeeming quality is that boss battles were actually awesome boss fights, with a fair amount of challenge to them - up until the very last battle, which was a breeze compared to the 2nd maiden arena. Oh man, is HE a piece of work, definitely the coldest sociopath I’ve seen in a hot minute.

Crescent Hollow
I think that the game itself is has a lot of replayability in that there are a bunch of characters to play as with their own backstories. The graphics are good as you see in the trailer. Playing the game on keyboard and mouse is fine but it feels way more fluid with a controller and I do like the character design. The game needs work like all games on early access but the game isn’t as bad as some people make it seem. It’s a pretty fun game. The most interesting character at the moment in my opinion is Druid. I also think that the Ninja is cool as well. I have the feel that a lot of hard work went into this. Yeah the game can be tricky at times but that is what makes it enjoyable. I will update my review when I play more of the game.

If I didn’t know any better, I would say this game is vapor-ware. This seems to have the absolute minimum amount of playability to be on Steam Early Access. Nearly no key does anything, and everything is put together by 4 toddlers. It takes literal seconds for the game to process that all of 5 words have appeared on screen, and until it is done processing such a heavy load, the player is asked to sit and look at all the visuals on screen. All that eye candy bouncing about, giving us players a visual experience like no other.
