Celestial Hearts

Celestial Hearts

I had high hopes for this game and after 20 hours of time well spent (Story Mode) I must say, I am more than pleased.

Kayah and Helen are so cute ^^ (I have quite the crush on Sera though :p)

There are many references to the Knight Bewitched Series, so I had that warm and fuzzy feeling of coming home to a place I love.

Love the storytelling, the colorful areas, the music, all the goodies you can find in chests or get from boss-fights (my inventory was rather full at times)…

I wish there was a sequel already, because the ending promises new and exciting adventures. But I will be patient…and hopeful… I know the remastered version of Knight Bewitched is in the making and I am sure looking forward to that too ^^

For an old school RPGmaker game, this one does shine.

Sophisticated, yet easy-to-master battle mechanics.

Realistic and balanced progression ladder. Never overpowered.

Cut-to-the-chase conversations and time-saving auto battles.

You can run from almost any unwanted battles just to target those rare enemy drops.

Taking my time on hard, I’m just halfway through after 25 hrs. It’s just me. I like to smell them roses.

Celestial Hearts is indeed a well-thought-out game.

Looking forward to your remake of Knight Bewitched! :)

This game is quite short but intense. English translation is fine. Sounding Stone showed good potential from this project. It is worth playing. The final completeness of this game depends on the sequels. We look forward to them too. Recommended!

The game was very cool and taught me about whats going on in the world. The use of visual metaphor and game play to convey the idea of a world that is working against you is pretty cool. This may just be pondering in my part, but the female and male models stacked in top of each other to convey that you are in-between is pretty smart and it’s embarrassing to say that it took me awhile to get it.

Great game with great mechanical and visual story telling. Hope everyone stays safe and has a great pride.

The character walks around backwards is that on purpose like a homage to OoT speed run? (That would be cool but …) As for the story I could not figure it out so I stopped reading and explored. Interesting game but have no idea what’s going on. The secret room was cool tho.

About Elysium Above

Elysium Above is a Wargame developed using Unity 3D.

Game Feature

In the game, the player acts as a low-level counsellor of Bo, the small state by the East Sea, defending this newly recovered state against the onslaughts from enemies by your excellent deployment and strategy, looking into the needs of every party and lead the story to different finales by your select.

  • This is a half-real-time game. Before using up the strategy points, a unit may move and use skills as your wish. But the more points you consume, the later next act will come. Keep your eyes on the Order of Action, and use your strategy to defeat all enemies.

  • If you arrange a character’s active skills and passive skills differently, he will join the battle in different roles.

  • By gaining Complete Victory, joining the activities between battles, finishing side quests, recruiting new teammates and gaining cohesiveness, you may acquire all kinds of benefits.

  • By travelling through Bo and collecting treasures(there are tens of treasures available), you may strengthen your teammates. Besides, some important items may affect the finale!

About Wanyan World

This is the Continent of Wanyan.

Wanyan, an enfeoffment kingdom lasted for thousands of years, though having enjoyed a long time of peace, is now at the brink of division. Its authority as a suzerain is declining, and its vassals are fighting against each other. Thousands of war is crushing numerous states and killing countless people.

Lu, a traditional military state, has developed into a first-tier power by annexing surrounding states.

The newly born Seven State Alliance under State Hong’s leading is at the confrontation against Lu. Meanwhile, it is appealing to more states to join it.

Between the two superpowers, there is the main stage of our story - Bo.

Bo was crushed by Lu’s sudden attack eleven years ago. Facing the irretrievable fate, King Kui chose to be a martyr for the fallen state, and the older prince Huang Zhu escaped to Hong in the south with the third prince. Since then, Bo’s land is under the control of Lu.

Eleven years later, to restore the state, Huang Zhu led an army to fight back by the chance when Lu garrison was not aware.

But since then, the threat of war and death is hanging over the coast of the East Sea.

This battle attracted all sorts of factions with each one’s purpose. Maybe this war of restoration is simply the beginning of a series of chaos…

Finding A Prince: The Game

Finding A Prince: The Game

Thoroughly enjoyable game! The characters are cute and have their own distinct personalities. The script is simple and has silly quips. There are several different enemies to learn the moves and patterns to, and a handful of different path combinations. I’m eager to see what more can be added as this game progresses! Highly recommend if you enjoy turn-based RPGs with lots of different items and events to unlock and discover

Viola: The Heroine’s Melody

Viola: The Heroine’s Melody

I suppose I will put out my 2 cents on this game.

I love it, simply put it that way. Viola takes inspiration from many video game series, yet it still manages to feel unique in its own way. Gameplay is super solid, requiring the proper keyboard presses alongside proper timing to successfully pull off attacks and similar actions. There is also a cool mechanic originating from this game involving defending, in which a character defending has a % chance to protect a teammate from damage. This is a great example of one of the special touches made in the game to help it shine and stand out.

Real player with 53.3 hrs in game

Take a chance on trust!

Viola is a cute, relaxing, relatable, and fun game. Plain and simple.

Each character has enough depth so you know what they are about as far as character development goes.

The movement of the platforming is spot on, Viola moves exactly where you want her to be.

I have reached the end of early access in 13 hours, about 1.5 hours of that was backtracking to do side quests/story.

The combat keeps you on edge with the buttons needing to be pressed in a timed manner, is very well balanced, and you will not need to grind.

Strangers of the Power

Strangers of the Power

I have to give credit where credit is due. In this game, the developer has provided a robust offering and growth continues on the game. That is to say “the developer cares about this product, this product is small enough to actually have the developer read every post”.

A classic plot, coupled tension breaking fun throughout. A good “read” in the literary sense, jovial and interesting. A must have for any RPG fan. This game motivated me to publish my own RPG up on Steam. Check it out, The Goracle by Silent Daddio Studios. Your games should entertain you with a good story. I laughed out loud a few times with Strangers of the Power. It failed to make me cry, however, was not lacking in the passion. Thanks for making it available to play on iMac, that extra effort made a difference to me.

(If the video gets removed: Real Power from Adventure Time)

Before I begin this review, I must first issue an apology to a friend and developer. For a long time I had this game (maybe about a year) and for that period, I put it on the back burner among my backlog. He has been very passionate about his project and I have done him a disservice by issuing him a promise and reneging on that for so long. So, it’s time I fulfill my promise and give the feedback that has been asked for so long. I’m sorry for this inconvenience, Tuomo.

Ikenfell

Ikenfell

I wish I could give a mixed review since this game has some decent features and actually made me sit through itself, but it has many flaws. In the end, I don’t recommend against purchasing this game, but I would only really recommend it to die-hard classic 16-bit RPG fans who ran out of things to play (like me).

Gameplay: It’s a turn-based RPG where you need to use timing mechanics in order to make your attacks stronger or defend from enemy attacks, sort of like the Mario & Luigi series. Unlike Mario & Luigi it also has grid-based movement in battles, and positioning matters for landing your attacks. There are six characters you collect throughout the game, each with their own role and arsenal of unique spells. The spells don’t become obsolete with unlocking new ones, almost every spell has its uses and that really makes you excited for level ups so you can play with new spells. So that’s good. There is however a big flaw with the combat system. It’s super slow. Between moving around, playing animations and waiting for your inputs, random battles can last over 5 minutes each. Boss battles with multiple phases can last half an hour. The less is said about the final boss, the better. It gets kind of annoying. So it’s kind of fun for the first few hours but once you’ve collected most of the characters and the novelty wears off it doesn’t really hold a candle to Mario & Luigi, Megaman Battle Network and other similar games. There’s a lot of equipment to try on your characters, but most of it just increases stats with no interesting side effects.

Witches. Magic. Ghosts. Queer af characters. And cats – lots of cats.

The story starts out with the protagonist looking for her sister at the witchy school of Ikenfell. Her sister always comes home for summer break, so when she doesn’t, the protagonist feels something is very wrong. Upon her arrival, she discovers she has powers, even though it was believed she was an “ordinary”. While searching for her sister, she uncovers secrets about the school and befriends several people along the way.

Knight Bewitched

Knight Bewitched

I just finished Knight Bewitched, so here are my thoughts:

Knights Bewitched is a above average JRPG inspired RPG Maker game. If you’re looking for great RPGs you found one! The story is very subversive in a way as you start off playing Ruth an already established and well renowned knight of Ambrose. Everyone loves you in the city-state of Halonia. You start off in mid mission and take down a “powerful” dragon. So Ruth’s level one is basically everyone else’s level 100. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice change of pace and as a player leaves you with this since of wanting to know Ruth more.

Just blitzed through this game in 2 days' time, it was so good.

Knight Bewitched is a pretty standard JRPG style game, with an interesting story and different difficulty modes. I’ve only played in Normal Mode so far, so I’m not sure how the difficulty scales.

In my 13 hours of playtime, I think I managed to do just about everything in the storyline and sidequests. I upgraded all the weapons (although the achievement appears to be bugged). The combat didn’t feel like too much of a grind, there was a nice balance between progression, sidequests, and leveling.
