Airship Killer

Airship Killer

good, not demanding 2D platformer. Nice music, graphics and controls. Weighs only 50 mb and will go to the weakest pc =). I think many will like it for its low price. I want the developers to add different achievements

Fly Corp

As you can see by the number of hours I’ve played, I definitely enjoyed this game. Play is fun and exciting and yet weirdly satisfying.

It could be perfect with these changes:

1.) It would be cool to see what percentage of players beat each scenario (like “0.1% of players beat this scenario” for “Unlock All Countries”). This would make winners who beat difficult scenarios feel even more superior, and warn those of us who struggle. It’s nice to get an idea of what difficulty to expect.

2.) In the tutorial, I would mention that there is a random element to the game in addition to skill. It’s possible to be the best player and still lose if you get a bad unlock order. That’s good to know coming in as opposed to slowly realizing it over time.

I see potential for a great game in Fly Corp, but I feel it’s developing in the wrong direction. The devs seem to be making a shift toward realism and have made the game difficult beyond belief. It already had major balancing issues in terms of cost scaling before the latest update. Now it’s unplayable.

I implore the devs to remember this is a game. Yes, make it difficult, but on the same note, it needs to be winable or you’ll lose your audience.

Please dial back the cost scaling, fix the event randomization and imbalances, and completely remove cost scaling for routes. It should not cost more to build the same route just because you’re farther into the game.

Starship Tunnel is yet another Unity Asset flip from INFINITY BRIDGE, who make a “living” by copying and pasting other people’s games onto Steam and trying to take the credit for it, all part of a nasty cash grab. This time they’ve ripped off someone else’s game demo for a basic endless runner game where you steer around obstacles in an untextured tunnel.

INFINITY BRIDGE are serial offenders when it comes to ripping off the work of others. Here’s some examples:

Lucky me! I get to write the first review for Aero Battle. It’s not going to be a good one.

Aero Battle is a “template flip”, that is to say, it’s a “game” that has been produced by copying a game template or using a game construction kit, and changing a few things. In this case it was a game construction kit/template for doing a simple 2D “dogfighting” game of the type that was around in the early 1990s, made with the godawfully bad Game Maker 2 construction kit, for demo games and educational purposes.

City Air Battle

City Air Battle

City Air Battle is an arcade style flight shooting and racing game. In the game, you will fly a fighter over the real city. You can not only have a fierce air battle with the enemy aircraft, but also compete with the opponent in the air, experience the immersive 360 degree free flight and enjoy the fun of flying in the city skyline.

The operation and playing method of the game are very simple, and any player can get started quickly. You only need to use the direction key to control the flight direction of the aircraft, use the shift key to accelerate, and use the Z key to fire shells. Some levels only need to use the direction key or click the mouse to pass.

The game contains 6 cities, all of which are modeled and produced according to real large cities (Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago and New York). All buildings and streets are the same as those of real cities.

There are more than 60 kinds of aircraft in the game, all of which take the real classic aircraft as the model, including fighters, armed helicopters, large transport aircraft and bombers.

Players can control 8 different planes. By default, they can use 3 planes, and 5 planes are waiting for players to unlock after obtaining points in the game.

There are 24 levels in the game. Each city contains 4 levels and 4 game modes. You can choose any city or level to play the game.

Each level has a score ranking list, which allows players to compete with netizens all over the world and encourage players to constantly break the record of the highest score.

Game mode:

Racing mode

Flying through the whole city along the specified path, you need to surpass or destroy all your opponents to win the championship. The shorter the time, the higher the score.

Path shooting mode

The aircraft flies automatically along the path. You just click the mouse to shoot down the enemy aircraft. The higher the hit rate, the higher the score.

Collision mode

Operate the aircraft to hit the enemy aircraft at high speed and avoid buildings. The shorter the time, the higher the score. You can experience the pleasure of flying at high speed between skyscrapers and hitting the enemy aircraft.

Flight shooting mode

Manually control the direction of aircraft flight and the angle of weapon launch, use missiles, machine guns, rockets and other weapons to destroy enemy aircraft shuttling between cities, and double the scores of destroying enemy high-value targets (large transport aircraft, bombers, early warning aircraft, etc.). Players need to fly the aircraft to move flexibly in high-rise buildings, avoid the attack of enemy aircraft guns, and use smart steering to avoid missiles.

A really compelling game, I started it up to see what the deal was and immediately lost half an hour to it.

The game is very easy to pick up and play, and for the most part the gameplay is easy to understand. There are a few things that are frustrating to me playing this game, though.

After defeating a boss, if you haven’t taken any damage, you get an option to shuffle around some of your stats. I’ve gotten options like “+30 HP & -30 HP” multiple times, which is incredibly frustrating because it makes one of your options useless. There is another power up called “Lucky Items” that is supposed to give you more stat boosts in the game, but I never noticed any difference when I got it.

AFTERBURN

AFTERBURN

I was a really big fan of Morfeo’s previous game, Furious Angels and have been waiting for this game for a long time and I’ve gotta say; totally worth the wait. I’ve been a huge fan of piloting games since Ace Combat on the PS2 and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge on Xbox and this game honestly reminded me how much I love flying games! (Anyone got any recommendations? I’ve had a taste and I need more now! lol)

This game can be kind of frustrating to master (I was about ready to smash my face into the keyboard at attempt 250 but the sense of accomplishment I felt from finishing it was like nothing else.) but it’s control scheme is very intuitive, especially if you’ve played Furious Angels, and it’s very easy to pick up. I haven’t tried controller or joystick, but with a mouse (you don’t even need a keyboard at the moment but possible in the future it’ll be needed) to play this game without any issues. I have heard from others that it works just fine with a wide number of other controllers too if that’s more your style.

AFTERBURN is a strange game, in the same vein that it’s an incredibly fun one with a nostalgic feel to it. Do you remember the arcade cabinets of the days of yore that had those old joystick dogfighting games? Do you remember that one Tom Clancy arcade cabinet where you climbed into that ball and it’d shake and move around as you flew your fighter jet all over the place? AFTERBURN does a good job at bringing some of those feelings back.

While it might not have music or any proper soundtrack to speak of, I’d say one of the biggest strengths is being able to put your own playlist on and sit down for a 30-45 minute session. The game will hold your attention for a few runs instead of the majority of the day, but I’d say that’s a strength. AFTERBURN is what I’d qualify as a painkiller, a game you sit down and boot up when you need a quick distraction or just want to forget about things…

Furious Angels

Furious Angels

FA is a minimalistic, short and sweet arcade dogfighting shooter that is so much more than what you may think. Somewhat easy to get into, surprisingly hard to master.

Gameplay

Furious Angels (FA in short) is all about… blowing stuff up. While trying not to die. All while babysitting the helpless mothership. And of course, get a good looking score. Oh, and there’s no campaign, no story, no upgrade grinding. Only explosions. And scores.

Your goal - face the endless hordes of enemies that want you and your mothership dead. Losing either is a Game Over. Stay alive as long as you can, get that big big combo, but your fate is sealed before it all begins. You’ll lose. As for how, it’s up to you to decide.

I don’t write many Reviews.

I think most Games do not deserve, or need my opinion.

And I usually don’t feel well as an advertisement writer.

But this one game is different. For me, this is a hidden Gem.

This is the only game i play everyday for 5-10 minutes. Since more then a Year.

No other game got me hooked like this. I think I can say I like it a bit.

Maybe it is just a me-thing. Maybe it appeals just to my personal taste.

It is arcade-y, and in a way that makes it great … I love the Explosions.
