Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive

Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive

Entertaining. This is a tactics game in the likes of Commandos. The graphics are old but still nice. Decent soundtrack. The story is good.

No bugs but some freezes and some crashes, really not a big deal. Runs fine on Win 7.

Well, this is a classic now. It’s a good game with a lot of content. Many hours to finish it. There are several ways to approach a mission and characters with diverse abilities to help you in your quests. This game is an elaborated puzzle, basically. Unlike Commandos, solving some of the scenarios requires thinking outside the box, which is not necessarily an awesome thing. You can experience some frustration time when the abilities don’t work as they should, like enemies refusing to investigate a noise or pick up something. The game breaks its own features and mechanics to create hard head-scratchers with weird solutions. In some cases, It will be both surprising and dumb to find out that you need to be a happy-trigger and not a puzzle solver. If it gets too frustrating, just look for a walkthrough.

Many people have reviewed this game with an eye on compatibility issues - these are obviously important, and it’s sad that a game can be sold on a platform like this in an essentially non-functional state. But I feel there needs to be a bit more said about the game itself.

Desperados, as a real-time tactical strategy top-down stealth game (genres are confusing), falls into sparsely-traversed terrain. You command a posse of ridiculously stereotypical western caricatures as they make their way through a ripper of an old-school western. The backdrops of each map are frequently beautiful, the voice acting is impressively involved, and the gameplay is involving. But it is the latter that makes Desperados stand out.

Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood

This game… man this game…

The first time I played this game was when I was like 10. For that era, it had the most beatiful graphics i’ve ever seen in any videogame.

The gameplay can be portrayed as a perfect combination of Age of Empires + Paint. Yeah, not kidding. You actually play the game as if it was AoE and when you get into a fight, you draw shit with your mouse to attack. If you draw an inverted & you make an attack that takes time but is sure to fuck up the enemy, but it also takes all your stamina, leaving you defenseless for like 3 seconds.

OUR:_Defense 2021

OUR:_Defense 2021

_OUR_Defense is a dynamic tower defense game. You must react and counterattack the enemies on the battlefield all the time. Fight in the most diverse conditions and places on our planet. Fight off alien swarm attacks with gigantic machine guns, shotguns, gauss rifles and even a giant laser created using alien technology.

At the beginning of the game there are only two towers, but when you open new locations there will be more of them. You will need to plan for what places, and at what point it is better to place towers. Improvements to your towers are also an important part of your defense. You need to understand at what point and in what sequence it is best to improve the towers built. When improving the main characteristics of the towers increase: strength, speed and range of the attack. To improve the towers, you will need credits that are given for killing enemies.

Sabre Team

I figured this would like a cool little X-com: UFO Defense type of game, but I was mistaken. The UI is somehow even less user friendly and the entire objective of the game seems to be in finding ways to piss me off.

I expected better, honestly.

Tactical Combat Department

Definitely recommend this game. As many have said, it takes inspiration from games like SWAT, Doorkickers and Xcom. What I find most unique is the shooting system that doesn’t work on a % chance based on stats (like most turn based games). Instead it randomises where the bullets go based on the weapon and experience of the shooter. Think doorkickers in this aspect, meaning you may hit something between you and the target, or even hit something behind them. The unique part comes in this being a turn based game using that system. I personally haven’t seen something like that before.

Good game! It’s an innovative tactical game with Swat theme in turn based design. You can work with 5 members in your team. In this game is interesting weapon fire system. It’s based on skills of your member and accuracy of weapons. But projectiles fly from weapons, you can hit other civilians or your team member. This is good!

Price is very friendly and fair! Recommended!

If you like Doorkickers and you want to play another Doorkicker’s game, play Doorkickers. If you want to play xcom or big turn based strategy with base building play Xcom, Xenonauts etc. But if you want to play something new and interesting, play this small but interesting game.

The Stone of Madness

The Stone of Madness

The Stone of Madness is a hardcore real-time tactics and stealth game set in a Spanish madhouse in the late 18th century. Located in the Pyrenees, a timeworn Jesuit monastery is home both to a madhouse and an inquisitorial prison. Five mysterious characters have been imprisoned between its walls under different pretenses. Plagued by cruel punishment, madness and despair, they will soon devise a plan to escape this place.

Escape the Madness

Using an isometric perspective take and alternate control of your characters and aid their escape. Depending on how you play, their sanity will deteriorate, gaining them a “Stone of Madness” and triggering new disabilities and negative effects such as paranoia, dementia or bouts of violence.

Explore your surroundings, find clues and tools to help you achieve your goal. Be careful though, if you’re caught being somewhere you shouldn’t be the guards will not be kind…

Character Progression & Regression

We all have our strengths and weaknesses and our heroes are no different. Each character starts with various traumas and phobias. Depending on how you play, their sanity will deteriorate, gaining them a “Stone of Madness” and triggering new disabilities and negative effects such as paranoia, dementia or bouts of violence. This in turn increases the game’s difficulty. Characters can also unlock positive skills or reverse the negative effects on their sanity by finding “Stones of Clarity” which are scattered throughout the monastery. Some actions may exacerbate phobias and other mental conditions or even trigger new conditions to develop.

Discover the Secrets of the Monastery

Choose from several different escape plans to execute, each with its own stories, objectives, special characters and other surprises. While exploring the monastery you may come across items or clues that can aid different escape plans or future attempts. These items can unlock new content for your future play-through’s.

You have no memory of this place…

Each new game generates a different monastery thanks to a semi-procedural system. Everything from the monastery lay-out to item location is variable making each play session as fresh as the first.

Day/Night Cycle

Time is continuous in The Stone of Madness; Day & Night phases are split with actions to complete during the day and preparation activities (healing/crafting/resting) at night. Most actions can be completed during the day while others, are better done at night with fewer eyes watching. But there are reasons you should not go prowling at night…

Stunning and Original Artwork

The Stone of Madness' visuals are heavily inspired by 18th century artist, Francisco De Goya. Everything from scenery, to clothes and even character faces are influenced by De Goya’s works. Combining his styles with our artist team’s sketching and animation has resulted in numerous hand-painted scenes and hundreds of traditional-style animations that is both eye-catching and enhances the isometric-perspective The Stone of Madness uses.

Features Overview

 • Master Tactician– Plan and execute your escape in real-time, utilize each characters’ unique abilities and escape the Monastery.

 • The Prisoners – Play as five unique and flawed characters, discover why each has imprisoned.
