Ambition of the Slimes

Ambition of the Slimes

The first thing you should know about Ambition of the Slimes if you are considering picking it up is that although it is a strategy RPG, the emphasis is much more on the “strategy” than the “RPG”. Grinding will only help you so much; far more important is choosing the right slimes and making the right moves. If this sounds too stressful, then you may want to seek out another game (however, please note that there is an Easy difficulty which I didn’t touch– I stuck with Normal, plus replayed some levels on Hard and did a few Challenges– so YMMV).

very disappointed, the game is not balanced to give a fair difficulty to the player. Even easy mode will kick your ass. Enemies are too much powerful and, for reasons, some of them will be difficult to “claim”. Also you have very weak slimes, leveling them up is not very helpful, and you get new species randomly. Also in some levels you have a limited number of slimes vs hordes of enemies.

And…. seriously, why, for all the reasons in the world, the tutorial explains you how to use a very important slime with the stickyness ability, but when the tutorial ends you don’t have that slime anymore and you can’t find that anywhere? Why?

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint

Explore the dystopian cyberpunk future of 2231 as you command a company of shadow mercenaries working for the highest bidder. Cyber Knights wraps a world full of consequential story choices and significant character development around a rich core of classic and new mechanics. The game combines tactical elements like stealth, hacking and tense combat with strategic features like base building, contact management and in-depth squad customization. Cyber Knights invites you to jack in and explore a unique cyberpunk world and the immersive, human stories of your merc team in the dark future of 2231.

  • Turn-based Tactics: Deep and tactical gameplay using a turn-based, gridless third-person combat simulator. Cover! Overwatch! Recoil!

  • Dynamic Cyberpunk Story: Unique interwoven narrative with depth, meaningful player choices and hundreds of hours of gameplay. Create your own story reminiscent of pen and paper cyberpunk RPGs

  • Sophisticated Missions: Combine stealth, hacking and combat across multi-stage missions. Gain pre-mission advantages from Contacts

  • Endless Builds: Experiment with endless combos of Jobs, cyberware, weapons and gadgets to build the perfect team

  • Evolving Characters: Your team evolves as the story, your choices and battle leave lasting wounds, add Traits and threaten to strip their humanity

  • Safehouse Base Building: Construct a custom safehouse and upgrade rooms such as weapon shop, hund kennel and medical bay.

Cyber Knights strikes a unique tone with a futuristic setting that has passed through the messy near-future to arrive at dystopian 2231. Man-made environmental disasters have ravaged our biosphere. Artificial consciousness has been created, subsequently murdered, and then strictly outlawed at a global level. Megacorporate colonies and research stations dot the solar system from Venus to Jupiter. Quantum computing has radically altered the digital landscape and the very meaning of privacy and digital security.

The game’s threaded stories originate from both inside and outside your team – weaving together threads from your hired mercenaries, criminal connections and history that just won’t die. These stories operate on three interconnected and at times overlapping levels – personal stories (your team), contact stories (your employers) and event stories (city-wide).

And every choice you make and mission you run will impact your character’s permanent Traits, changing them in both subtle and big ways. Their stories and your choices combine to create a unique narrative for every game, every Knight and every team.

The second game our studio created, Cyber Knights RPG, took hundreds of thousands of gamers on an gritty cyberpunk roller-coaster, trying to get rich or go down shooting. The classic Cyber Knights has always had a huge following within our community and we are xcited to come back to the world and stories we started creating there so many years ago with an all new game, Cyber Knights: Flashpoint.

We’re weaving together the genre’s classic themes with the unique setting and history of Cyber Knights to create some of the most cutting, gripping and human stories we’ve ever told. Betrayal, sacrifice, trading away humanity for an advantage, living fast and dying young, revenge and testing the bonds of friendship and trust – it’s all here under the New Boston dome.

i cant say this game has anything special about it expect the idea of reviving dead and taking them with you to the next level.

wich is pretty much the whole content. you wander from one area to another kill everything, revive it and go to th next area. there is no real challenge behind it and the whole game is finished in under one hour.

this game has great potential but waaay to little content. if it gets developped prpperly i would definitely pay more for it.

Great reverse tower defense game. Easy to get hooked!

Single-player is fun, but multiplayer up to 8 players over LAN (but can fill in bots with different difficulties if you’d like) means I can blow up my buddy’s armies from afar.

Make lots of armies, blow up the other guys' armies, make bigger armies, and conquer. Multiple factions and individualized talent trees allows versatility in playstyle and adds a lot of depth to the game. 5/5.

Cascade Tactics

Cascade Tactics

Cascade Tactics is a tactical RPG full of interesting and interactive abilities. You are a novice mercenary in a war-torn world. Hire your team, choose your classes, upgrade your equipment, and see how long you can survive.

Whether you want to hack your way to victory with powerful soldiers or strategically maneuver in the battlefield to maximize your profits, you can enjoy Cascade Tactics.

Features a Dual-class system with interesting synergies.

A Commander can issues commands to other units. A Ninja can attack twice with his weapon. When a character’s two classes are Commander and Ninja you can issue commands to other units to attack twice.

A Sentinel can guard tiles with his weapon. A Pyromancer can deal damage to an area with Flames. When a character has both classes, he can guard locations with Flames: casting it anytime an enemy walks on the tile.

An Archer can add any magical ability to his weapon attack. A Necromancer can raise a Skeleton if the target of his ability dies. When combined, you can raise a skeleton upon killing a target.

A Lancer can add cast time to his weapon to deal more damage or add cast time to a spell to increase its area-of-effect.

Interactive Mechanics:

Status Effects are linked (or channeled). Deal damage to the caster to stop the status effect.

Many actions take time before they are executed. This gives the opponent time to react. Deal damage to the caster to stop the action. Move / Push / Teleport units into or out of danger. Protect the target with another action before he is hit. Change the target of the caster with Silencer’s Redirect. These opportunities allow the battles to feel fun and interactive.

I would like to recommend the game with caveats.

Firstly, it looks beautiful, and I love the concept. The modules, devices, and ships look great, and the backgrounds are very appealing (although the characters' portraits aren’t up to the same visual standard). The basic idea is not new, but this generally has a scale that I’m enjoying; it’s more Civ 5/Civ 6 than Cities Skyline or Surviving Mars. By that I mean that in the latter, you reach a stage where your city/base is almost too big to micro-manage enjoyably. (The micro-management is something I enjoy, but it’s not for everyone.)

ok i have played over 80 hours of this game so far. so i will write an advised review and as honest as possible.

1st the good point: the game concept is good, there is mission / tutorial to show u some basics.

there is also a custom game mode (sandbox) wich is a must have since after doing the mission there would be nothing else left.

The graphics are nice and the call and crew are voiced on various area.

There is in game contract during custom to keep u entertained and helping u to survive wich is a nice addition.

The Immortal

The Immortal

This version is utterly disappointing, I was hoping for a much better experience than the console versions I played long ago. Honestly I played the Genesis version about a year ago so it is even more painful this PC versions lack of execution. Most of the interactions with enemies are barely as enthralling as the Sega Genesis or N.E.S. ports of the game, lots of missing dialog. The gore and fatalities in the Genesis version are strangely absent which makes me upset I sold that one thinking a PC let alone Steam edition would be the true experience…I was sadly mistaken. There is no options to change anything (including resolution), no save/load ability, no enhancements, no play this or that version of the game. Combat is slower than the Genesis also and there are no grunts or cries of pains when attacks land. Surprisingly the consoles music sounds better somehow too which shouldn’t be possible! PLEASE AVOID THIS WAS A SHAMEFUL CASH GRAB NOT A RELEASE THAT RESPECTED THE FANS!!!!!!
