DETECTIVE TYCOON

DETECTIVE TYCOON

Travel 70 years back in time to the days of noir detectives and lead your own 1-bit detective agency! Solve the most difficult cases. Hire new detectives. Expand your office.

Travel to the noir era!

  • Start from scratch

Your story begins in a small backroom with one detective and one table. Expand your business and hire new agents to solve the most difficult cases. Choose simple and safe cases or take risks for a bigger reward.

  • Decide for yourself what your agency will be

While your detectives are gaining experience on missions, you can improve your agency. Build a break room to give your detectives a place to relax. Build the wiretap room to receive irrefutable evidence or the laboratory to analyze collected clues.

  • Participate in the investigation

Solve cases by guessing and collecting clues! The prosperity of your agency depends on your choice. But the success of the case will depend not only on your deductive abilities but also on the amount of evidence that your detectives collect!

  • Take care of your detectives

Keep track of the needs of your agents. After all, it is impossible to solve a case without a cup of strong black coffee! Make sure all of your detectives get enough of it. Don’t forget about the personal skills of your detectives - may be one of them should inspect the crime scene, and the other should interview the witnesses? Or vice versa? Also, remember to send detectives on vacation and improve their skills. And don’t forget about their salary too!

The Technology points are out of proportion, to win each puzzle. It costs to do Satellite, you need at least extend view (5 pts) and 360 degree view (15 pts)…. to solve each sat tracker puzzle. The win technology points are most of the time 0 (zero) gain it rewards box, before pressing Start. It takes a long time to gain points in decipher at 1 point every 9 minutes. This makes it unplayable, til you get enought to buy – Extended/360 views. Have played 31 hours so far, and I’m Not Impressed with game as it now stands —- Sorry Devs, back to drawing board at this point.

I really, really wanted to like this game. I love FMVs, I love investigation type stuff, this is right up my alley. The early parts of the game looked great.

But then you get to a point where you realize that (at least in its current state) the game is just a big mess.

Progression seems to be based on an attribute called “sense” that you increase by correctly playing minigames. You have to find specific people in video footage, like Where’s Waldo but with moving video. You have to track things moving across the city. You have to uncover a pattern hidden in static. You can control a drone looking for things in homes or buildings. But where the trouble comes in is that by messing up in the games, you can lose sense instead of gaining it.

BORIS THE ROCKET 🚀

BORIS THE ROCKET 🚀

A kinda hectic run-around-but-think game, nicely themed around quasi-Soviet missile intercept site. Be prepared to value every second of your time. Missions are around seven minutes each, so this is also a “just another bite” thing. I picture this in the evening, a mission or two every now and then. Then again, I love the setting too : )

This game is sort of Papers, Please.

During game you need to shoot down all incoming rockets. But task is not easy. You must properly configure every AA missile while trying to get enough resources to produce new missiles, or for upgrades. You alone in that base so must run on foot to every point of interest.

Actually I like games like Paper, please, so this game is my type of games, and I recommend it to buy. Its cheap enough.

Night Call

Night Call

Perfect job to hear all the drama.

After dropping off the latest passenger, you decide that it was high time to take a smoke break. However, before you can step towards a wall to lean against, a lurking figure makes themselves known. Before you can see more than a hint of a dead body, everything goes dark. Next thing you know, you’re staring up at a hospital’s ceiling. It turns out that you were in an induced coma due to being attacked by Paris’ new serial killer. Luckily for you, the serial killer wasn’t aiming to make you one of their newest victims as you’re the only one to survive an attack. A month goes by before you’re back to work, despite your wound yet to heal and that night still fresh on your mind.

Real player with 26.1 hrs in game

The meat of the game is talking to your passengers and enjoying their interactive stories. The three different mysteries you can choose to play provide a narrative structure to the game, but mystery-solving is not the core of the game by a long shot. A lot of the specifics/details of the murder mysteries will be left out of your understanding completely. If you go in expecting a taut thriller with deep, mind-bending mystery, you will be disappointed. But if you like a noir aesthetic and non-linear narratives (as advertised) this is definitely a game for you.

This app originally released in Russian so I didn’t download it. Luckily, English language support was added back on November 3, 2021. I strongly recommend this experience for anyone interested in history. I will note that the developer is a Russian government owned news agency (Russia Today). However, I found all the information in this app to be historically accurate.

And this is an important piece of history to remember. This is about the trial of five Nazi criminal defendants which include: Göring, Dönitz, Rosenberg, von Ribbentrop and von Schirach. You’re basically collecting evidence in this app sufficient for their conviction and sentencing for crimes against humanity. The whole experience takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. Most of the information is narrated for you and you will see some videos, lots of photos, & several texts, along with visiting different historically important locations for these defendants.

Nuremberg: VRdict of Nations is a free to play VR experience that is about history. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. This program is now in English, by selecting the English flag on desk. Has 13 steam achievements. Has instructions on vr use at beginning. The English voiceovers was understandable. You have 5 persons of interest to investigate. Looks like there is more than 30 minutes of playtime in this program. You have to search for clues in a linear fashion.

I can’t really recommend this game with the way it is right now…It has potential but the choppiness makes me not wanna play it, there’s also no settings available, I couldn’t make any changes to the graphics to make it less choppy, but I don’t want a refund because I want to keep this and wait and see if things improve..

Love the idea of the game. I’m having trouble finding the option to craft, but other than that the ambiance and the possibilities seem very cool. Keep up the great work!
