Played 11 hours so far and it’s worth the pick up at this sale price. Neat little indy game, caught me a few times and I’ve jumped with some of the demons and it’s worth playing with friends!

Burn The Witch

Burn The Witch

Something about this concept appealed to me, and I took a gamble despite not really liking PvP games.

This is launch day, and there’s a lack of immediate players. I feel like Burn the Witch has been priced out of impulse buy range, and especially out of “buy a copy for a friend” range which would have benefited it hugely.

After a while I found a lobby with two other players, and it was a fun ten minute diversion. I’m not sure if the sense of paranoia causes people to just attack on sight, or if they just didn’t understand the objective. The game doesn’t seem to work well with small groups, since killing at random is a 50/50 chance of a win anyway.

Wolflord - Werewolf Online

Wolflord - Werewolf Online

Wolflord has taken up my time as the only social deduction based game that I play to this day.

I started out in this genre making content on other SD games for a long time, and although I put a lot of hours into those games and wanted to enjoy them, various things would continuously turn me away. I can say that Wolflord has never been that way for me.

The game itself has a slightly different format to your more popular SD games, where “copy paste last will’s” is what the game revolves around. However, this game focuses more on actual deduction rather than simply reading out a players' will and determining whether that information is correct based on shared knowledge. Every phase of the game feels important, and compliments the day/night cycle as a whole very well. Roles are very well thought out, and while some are favoured over others, I can say that I never truly feel like I ever get cast as a “useless” or “boring” role with this game.

Keep in mind this game is still in beta at the time I am writing this, so it is still early and the community is niche, but their Discord is active and a good way to gather games if you’re looking for more games without having to add so many bots. I’m sure as time goes on after getting out of beta, Town of Salem and Throne of Lies players may migrate over here. The game itself is very interesting, you can set your own role list based on the class cards/rules cards so the possibilities are endless, AND it even indicates how balanced between factions the setup is, which you don’t exactly see in Town of Salem custom lobbies. But yes, I do see potential in this game and intend to add it to my social deduction streaming repertoire and look forward to helping build the community. Very much recommended.

  • Pumpkin, a horse companion with her own outlook on your actions

Half a century has passed since the Kingdom of Tyrnia repelled the Imperial Invasion, but now the once victorious kingdom finds itself on the brink of a civil war.

The Queen rests with the Four now and the young King’s ascension to power is overshadowed by his suspicions towards his younger brother, Prince Bryden, who, as many think, could become a better king.

It is rumoured to be the sole reason for His Highness Prince Bryden to be entrusted with the administration of the most remote and decadent city in the kingdom.

The city of Kastra, or the Widow, was once the capital of Tyrnia. Now she is a pale shadow of her former self. Abandoned and almost of no interest to the Crown, she has fallen into the hands of local criminals who call themselves the Thieves Underground. Under their leadership, the corrupt city guards and the mysterious Church of Anar-Nehit, pilgrims from the far-southern deserts, control nearly every aspect of the city life.

Yet, even if the war has been over for half a century now, the patient and vile Ontorian Empire, just like a serpent that it bears on its banners, has prepared an even more cunning plan to seize neighbouring lands.

Under the guise of a relative of a local impoverished nobleman, Eiren, one of the Imperial spies sent to Tyrnia, will become part of a dastardly conspiracy to take over the unaware kingdom.

In order to successfully execute her orders, Agent Eiren joins the Prince’s people and will have to play her part in the liberation of the city. Together with Gieden, a crafty captain of Bryden’s forces, she begins the investigation of a daring crime that has shaken an already fragile balance in Kastra.

Eiren must act behind the backs of her unlikely allies, maintain their trust, and protect her true identity and motives at all costs.

But, perhaps, the hardest challenge for her to face will lie in the battle with her conscience and in the necessity for coming to terms with her own tragic past.

Mercyful Flames

Mercyful Flames

Welcome to the murky times you’ll get the chance to become an occultist that due to a quirk of malignant fate becomes an inquisitor. A very wrong person in a very responsible position. Join the ranks of a bloodthirsty church and see how far are you ready to go to save your beloved one.

Mercyful Flames is a detective adventure RPG inspired by horror board games. A slow-paced, yet thrilling study of human meanness. Complete several dozen missions, each set in different but equally horrifying scenery. Investigate, bribe, fight, or even torture. Do whatever it takes, to achieve your goal, and remember that you’ll be doing it all in the name of love. Or at least keep telling yourself that to remain sane.

Some of the inquisitor’s powers:

Ultimate interrogation. Break your enemies' will, force them to reveal darkest secrets.

**Roaming the Dark Ages world.** Explore the wild and deserted nooks of the kingdom.

**Creativity. ** Develop terrifying torture machines

**God’s Grace.** Develop your skills through the power from the above.

Detective’s mind. Solve problems using the power of intelligence, fear, persuasiveness, or tortures

Dark ages. Poverty and misery are everywhere. Hunger and injustice raise anger in simple men. Keep it in mind - you are in the middle of it.

Make good use of the heavenly support. Ask the Lord to send favors, and help you in your investigation. Hunt down the devil inside the innocent souls, but remember that even the purest soul of loved once can be sometimes tempted but him. Decide how far can you go.

You are the inquisitor. Not the most loved occupation here. Be careful who you trust. There is always a mask, it’s important to know is it behind the face

or on it.

Have mercy on poor peoples' souls. Expand and maintain the authority of the church through the power of flames. Achieve your goal at all costs. Accuse the villagers of witchcraft, and pacts with the devil if necessary.

Earn the grace of the king and the pope. Do what inquisitors do. Burn the enemies of the church or just Burn EVERYTHING to the ground and

become a Grand Witch Hunter.

Warning This game as intense amount of screen shaking and may effect those who are sensitive to motion sickness*

Monster Seek (Ep.1) has wonderful graphics and music with simplistic (non complicated) controls. You character looks like a cross between Dr. Light (megaman) and George Lucas (Star Wars) which got me invested from the first moment I saw the game.

Rat Prison

Rat Prison

I got this game from a pack of keys, it is very bad. There is no goal is this game. You do the tasks and then you wait for 5 minutes until the day passes. The controls are super annoying, having to use the mouse, WASD and arrows. So in short: Do not buy this, I could honestly make a better game in 2 days.

Real player with 0.2 hrs in game

Rat Prison is a 2D retro pixel side scrolling adventure game with an unusual premise and an unusual interface. You’re a guard in a dungeon and you have to juggle keeping the lights on, checking on the prisoners, and not being killed by rats.

It’s certainly an interesting premise for the game but the implementation is lacking. You have to use the mouse to play (well, just the mouse wheel, no other functions of the mouse do anything in the game, which is a bizarre and unfun decision), and the keyboard to move left and right. If that sounds like an awkward interface, well, it is.

The Idiot’s Tale

The Idiot’s Tale

THIS IS A GREAT GAME!

Do you love telltale games? Did you love playing games like Monkey island? Do you miss those old FLASH Games? Then I bet you’ll love this one. Idiots tale is a great story driven point and click adventure. I downloaded it on Sunday afternoon and beat it Monday morning by 2 am. the Artwork is consistent throughout and does a great job of drawing you in. The Dialog had me smiling and even laughing throughout the whole game (when I wasn’t yelling at my computer because a puzzle was stumping me) Speaking of the puzzles they all fit a logical order so even if they stump you for awhile once you solve it, it’s always satisfying. I should say this game doesn’t take itself too seriously or even a little serious for that matter, so if you are looking for the next ‘elder scrolls’ keep looking but if you are looking for a fun game that will have you smiling at its stupidness for hours on end you can’t beat this one. I’m excited to play it again to look for more hidden easter eggs that the creative shoved throughout the game, showing how much they themselves, love games. That love can clearly be seen in this Game.

Real player with 13.6 hrs in game

Even after reading really positive reviews on my favourite adventure game review sites, I still wasn’t convinced to try it looking at such awkward style graphic in-game screens. Well I’m happy that I finally changed my mind.

The game is great in so many aspects: clever writing, good humor and almost perfectly balanced level of puzzle difficulty, simple but comfy interface, smart hint system and even those graphics started looking so much better when playing.

Instant classic, will be remembered!

Dead or Mad

Dead or Mad

In the depth of swamps, where neither caravans nor conqueror’s army don’t go, where robbers, looters and such find a secure shelter from the justice, there is a small village. People there had been living their complicated, but quiet lives. They were fishing, gathering berries and mushrooms, but spending evenings in the local tavern to brighten their existence this way. The time there seemed to stop and nothing could destroy the peace. They would still live like this, but fate decreed otherwise. One by one they began to go missing and go mad, while others had died of disease. The reason is unknown. Probably, the place is cursed or the residents have done something for which they should be punished. You’ll have to go through many dangers and find the cause of all these ills, but don’t expect help from the locals. They’ll probably keep something from you.
