Rain City has about 3 hours of content and a nice aesthetic for such a low price, but there are some problems with puzzle logic and interface. I noticed that ‘Cotton Game’ is not listed as the developer, so I wonder if they were involved with this project on the creative level - I would expect more polish from them if they were. Overall, the puzzles are very similar to the previous games, and they can be somewhat challenging if not a little heavy on the moon logic. I also had a few problems with the atmosphere when it comes to the soundtrack. In my opinion, there are too many rooms that don’t have any music, that being said, I think most of the songs are enjoyable. While I understand that devs were trying to use the silence strategically, it was just too much and made the game feel empty. Additionally, the game is a bit glitchy, but I only had to reset the game one time when my character got stuck in the animation. Some of the interface problems are more frequent, there are all kinds of issues involving pixel hunting.

Goto Family’s- ‘‘The Island Murder Case’’
When a game starts off with it’s characters apologizing for the art work, you know you’ve got something special.
For pure yuck value, it’s worth ninety nine cents. If you’re not the type to laugh at Gymkata, skip this game.
Spoilers, but with this game, really who cares?
As someone else pointed out, this is bad writing at it’s best. My two favorite lines: “The toilet seat lid is down. Outside, no one is suspicious”. And of course “She is always touching my most important part”
The game teaches you how to extort the police with sexual allegations. And of course it’s always nice to identify the killer in a game show format.

You get what you pay for. I speak Japanese and English and the game is poorly written in both languages. The story is a level of cliche that is cringe worthy, the characters are unrealistic and boring, and the entire game reads like a badly written self-insert fanfiction. I don’t mind when games are clearly indie made with bad graphics, but if they are going to be clumsily put together I still require a GOOD STORY. If the story was good and well written then I could forgive the graphics and amateur construction. As it is, the game fell flat. I don’t really know why I expected any better of a game priced at 59 cents lol

Hogogeist
I’ve been through about 7 floors so far. It starts off pretty simple to get you used to the game, but they get a little bit harder each time. The puzzles are well thought out and I’m actually a little afraid for them to get harder lol. The game runs extremely smooth, not glitchy at all and is actually a ton of fun. There’s some minor jump scares when you die, but for the most part you are figuring out puzzles. It’s so much fun I decided to do a YT series on this and I can’t wait to finish it. Definitely worth trying out for the price.

Ms.Director
Ms. Director is a game I can’t give justice to in just words. Either by my terrible writing skills or by repeating what others have said. Yet I can say that Ms. Director is one of the best RPGmaker-style games I have played in a very long time. It succeeds with the good ol’ cliche 2D horror game formula, but feels like a refreshing new experience in the RPGmaker-style genre. Either by well-written characters, fantastic links to LGBTQ+ Hollywood history, or fantastic music.
My final words about this game being a wonderful and beautiful small indie game that has been clearly made with passion and creativity. True love, research and time went into making this and it shines with it. It’s got the typical growing pains and teething problems of being a first major RPGmaker project, but those will eventually go away when the developer learns more and grows from mistakes. Ms. Director is a game I can’t recommend enough. Just writing this review isn’t even doing it justice.

I found this game through a friend on twitter, and saw that it was an indie horror title. I went and played it, not knowing what to expect, and fell in love with the characters, art style, puns, and presentation. It’s a really solid title, with a lot of thought put into it. It is a bit short, and there are a few text errors, but it’s pretty easy to miss when you are focused on all the weird stuff happening in the mansion. I’m looking forward to seeing what sketchy nonsense puts out next.

Tail Trail

“Third Update”
All control mapping is now working and is smooth and easy to use. Playing through for a second time was more enjoyable without fighting these.
I know mappings may seem like a “small thing to be updated” but the speed the devs have done it and their updates was what stopped me from refunding and got me to play through twice.
Keen for episode 2.
“Original Review”
This game does seem like it could be good, unfortunately running on a Vive it seems that the controls do no function and you’re unable to proceed past the initial starting point.

Rescue Rina
Good game, I liked it. Basically you have to avoid traps and opponents. I have a couple of other games from the developer, they are not bad either.
– Real player with 0.9 hrs in game
Rescue Rina is an asset/template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who did this already with his Haunted Jail: Alcatas and House Number 666 game, it’s the exact same game with a different skin. It’s a 2D top down retro pixel stealth/puzzle game where you wander around lazy 2D retro pixel environments solving basic puzzles while the deplorably low quality destroys your very soul.
The implementation here is garbage. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel “art” as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It’s unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC.

The Idiot’s Tale
THIS IS A GREAT GAME!
Do you love telltale games? Did you love playing games like Monkey island? Do you miss those old FLASH Games? Then I bet you’ll love this one. Idiots tale is a great story driven point and click adventure. I downloaded it on Sunday afternoon and beat it Monday morning by 2 am. the Artwork is consistent throughout and does a great job of drawing you in. The Dialog had me smiling and even laughing throughout the whole game (when I wasn’t yelling at my computer because a puzzle was stumping me) Speaking of the puzzles they all fit a logical order so even if they stump you for awhile once you solve it, it’s always satisfying. I should say this game doesn’t take itself too seriously or even a little serious for that matter, so if you are looking for the next ‘elder scrolls’ keep looking but if you are looking for a fun game that will have you smiling at its stupidness for hours on end you can’t beat this one. I’m excited to play it again to look for more hidden easter eggs that the creative shoved throughout the game, showing how much they themselves, love games. That love can clearly be seen in this Game.

Even after reading really positive reviews on my favourite adventure game review sites, I still wasn’t convinced to try it looking at such awkward style graphic in-game screens. Well I’m happy that I finally changed my mind.
The game is great in so many aspects: clever writing, good humor and almost perfectly balanced level of puzzle difficulty, simple but comfy interface, smart hint system and even those graphics started looking so much better when playing.
Instant classic, will be remembered!

Lockdown VR: Kidnapped
I was having a party and we decided to give this game a try on the side. Turned out to be quite fun competing with my friends and time. The puzzles were challenging i think it was a worthwhile purchase. With VR the escape rooms comes to me and not vica versa i like it.
– Real player with 9.0 hrs in game
This is a good game with interesting puzzles. Great for those who like multiplayer escape rooms. Could I request the developers to PLEASE add an option to turn off the timer. You guys have taken the trouble to create the environment and we like to be able to investigate it in a leisurely way.
