Game Theory At Christmas

Game Theory At Christmas

✱This game requires internet to play normally

✱The English of this game is made with Google Translate. My apologies.

In order to participate in the game competition, let’s make a game with the theme of Game Theory. Originally thought so, but due to various complicated reasons. In the end it became a spoof game.

Because the game operation method is very intuitive and simple, I won’t introduce it here.

The game contains a total of six non-zero sum games:

1. Guess the mean 2/3

Enter a number from 0 to 100 .The one who enters the number closest to the average 2/3 of all people’s numbers will get 1,000 coins.

2. Dollar auction

Enter a price of 0~1000 to bid for some coins. The person who bid the highest price wins the bid, but everyone has to pay their bid.

3. Traveler’s dilemma

Enter a number from 0 to 2,000 coins. The one who enters the smallest number will get the same amount of money.

4. Prisoner’s dilemma

All members cooperate, all get 1,000 coins, one betray, traitors get 500 coins, plural betray, all lose 500 coins.

5. Free rider problem

Choose ignore or resist, ignore loss of 300 coins, resist loss of 1,000 coin and terminate the round.

6. Ultimatum Game

Enter 0~500 twice to decide how much money distributed to others. If someone refuses to distribute, you will lose 1,000 coins.

The game will revolve around the above game. The accumulated star coins or snow coins can be used to upgrade characters. Each character can have different effects according to the level. Only by fulfilling the conditions of the level can you advance the plot, so you need to adopt a strategy that can meet the conditions of the level without losing too many star coins and snow coins.

Some levels require the character to reach a certain level to pass the level, so when you are stuck in a level, you can replay the previous level and accumulate star coins to upgrade your character.

Great board game companion app, I found no difficulties with the base functionality and I definitely recommend playing it over steam on a laptop with a bigger screen.

My 2 main points of feedback regarding the game in general are:

1. There’s hardly any need or use for the board and the minis of the actual physical board game. We found ourselves looking only at the screen, which had the most up do date information about the locations and map, and forgot to move our minis around in the physical version. The biggest use for the physical map and minis, is to note down the location where items are dropped.

Elysium Above is a Wargame developed using Unity 3D.

Game Feature

In the game, the player acts as a low-level counsellor of Bo, the small state by the East Sea, defending this newly recovered state against the onslaughts from enemies by your excellent deployment and strategy, looking into the needs of every party and lead the story to different finales by your select.

  • This is a half-real-time game. Before using up the strategy points, a unit may move and use skills as your wish. But the more points you consume, the later next act will come. Keep your eyes on the Order of Action, and use your strategy to defeat all enemies.

  • If you arrange a character’s active skills and passive skills differently, he will join the battle in different roles.

  • By gaining Complete Victory, joining the activities between battles, finishing side quests, recruiting new teammates and gaining cohesiveness, you may acquire all kinds of benefits.

  • By travelling through Bo and collecting treasures(there are tens of treasures available), you may strengthen your teammates. Besides, some important items may affect the finale!

About Wanyan World

This is the Continent of Wanyan.

Wanyan, an enfeoffment kingdom lasted for thousands of years, though having enjoyed a long time of peace, is now at the brink of division. Its authority as a suzerain is declining, and its vassals are fighting against each other. Thousands of war is crushing numerous states and killing countless people.

Lu, a traditional military state, has developed into a first-tier power by annexing surrounding states.

The newly born Seven State Alliance under State Hong’s leading is at the confrontation against Lu. Meanwhile, it is appealing to more states to join it.

Between the two superpowers, there is the main stage of our story - Bo.

Bo was crushed by Lu’s sudden attack eleven years ago. Facing the irretrievable fate, King Kui chose to be a martyr for the fallen state, and the older prince Huang Zhu escaped to Hong in the south with the third prince. Since then, Bo’s land is under the control of Lu.

Eleven years later, to restore the state, Huang Zhu led an army to fight back by the chance when Lu garrison was not aware.

But since then, the threat of war and death is hanging over the coast of the East Sea.

This battle attracted all sorts of factions with each one’s purpose. Maybe this war of restoration is simply the beginning of a series of chaos…

Cute game! Just like you!

Really fun. At first it seems really rudimentary and simple, but when you get into it a little more, it teaches you a lot of Tagalog and a lot about Filipino folklore. It also has a fun potion mixing mini-game and pretty good combat if you pick the RPG option instead of the answering trivia questions option. I only just solved the first quest, so I’ll expand my review at a later time, just want to say this is definitely worth a look.

Paradigm Shift

Paradigm Shift

Paradigm Shift is an outstanding RPG Maker-made game with an eccentric yet spectacular style. Each character has a unique style, and the dialogues are hilarious. Despite having skills and different attacks as many RPG games, this one has a unique feel, which also helps to understand and stick to each character.

PS also mixes and shifts from 2D to 3D gameplay often, making maps way more interesting and enjoyable. Another thing to mention is that this game is set in a contemporary world, contemporary scene and contemporary characters, which is something not really seen often. It gives an air of freshness and a nice known atmosphere that will make you enjoy the game anytime you play it.

Really nice game. It brings me back to the good old days of Gameboy advance and just chilling after school without a care in the world. The storyline is pretty funny (WARNING: Some bad language use) and the characters have some of the weirdest moments but I can tell you it gets better and worth it. The fight between the enemies are really cool so you gotta check them out. Can’t wait for the full release!

Great game! Very complex, tons of weird ways to get from A to B, and very funny under the very serious veneer. I saved America from the Red Menace by making a child cry. The only Steam achievement I’ve ever been proud of!

The dev is a really cool dude, I’ve helped him out with a few projects. The Discord server is also good and I’d recommend his other games like Cold War 2, Cauldrons of War - Barbarossa, and Cat Fu MI.

e-River Cabin Journal

e-River Cabin Journal

Once upon a time, I got fed up with city life and decided to move to Alaska, live in the middle of no where and get away from it all.

I didn’t know jack and froze to death the first night.

Twice upon a time, I got fed up with the city and left for a cabin in the middle of Alaska.

I still didn’t know jack, (and didn’t really know that I didn’t know jack) and died two days later.

Thrice upon a time, … yeah I got fed up with the city and bought a cabin in the middle of Denali National Park in Alaska.

This game 100% is not for everyone.. The Devs have made this prettty ckear,, I did some homework on this one.. It’s not an easy game..At times I am left scratching my head.. Getting started (In my case in the Oct) is tougher then any game I’ve ever played…. you log into a cold cabin with no firewood.. you can’t even read as it’s just too cold.. meaning you have to go try to chop wood first.. I got hammered by a bear,,, managed to kill him then simply walked away from the tree I dropped…. (why not just go back and finis?) so you lose the energy.. have to try again and hope to God you can just manage to get enough wood to warm light the fire and get the cabin warm enough to read……

The Amazing American Circus

The Amazing American Circus

Target Audience: Those Willing to Take the Lows With The Highs in Card RPGs

Summary:

This is a recommendation in essence, but for a specific subset of people.

I’m going to be straight up from the get go here: The Amazing American Circus is one of those games that I want to love up and down, but ended up being the biggest thorn in my side due to what happened during the review period. To say that I faced some of the worst bugs: specifically saved game bugs, in my review career would have been an understatement: I had 8 separate runs break wildly in that period where I could not continue to make progress. While those bugs seem to be fixed now, I have a form of PTSD at this point. Every time I play, I’m waiting for the game to break again. Hell, even the video I made had a major bug in it. There’s a reason I have around 40+ hours of gameplay without actually beating the game, and to say it hung over the experience would be an understatement to say the least.

Real player with 57.7 hrs in game

This is not a Slay to Spire, this is not a Monster Train. The Amazing American Circus is not a roguelike-roguelite card game, it is more like a card game built around a campaign, with some management sim built around it, in which you need to cover the costs, upgrades etc from the incomes you get during the shows.

If you more curious about the game, and want to check a short, ~20mins long video in which I showing what content you could expect from the game with one circus show (card battle) included, then here is mine:
