Trivia Quiz: All about everything!

Trivia Quiz: All about everything!

It was a good game until you arrive at History it’s mostly just Russian History which makes it hard. Some questions are also just completely wrong/faulty and a lot of spelling mistakes which makes it all harder. Would only recommend it for Russian players.

Typical and simple trivia quiz game with plenty of different subjects and areas varying from history to physics and from geology to chemistry. What could really go wrong? Well while there is nothing wrong with the gameplay and there is a lot of interesting questions - sometimes the translations in English are crude and lazy, moreover I do dare to say that this game really underlines the existence of Abkhazia, which is very controversial subject and I really hope that the devs would set their political views at bay and make more neutral questions. But nevertheless it is a good game and really good training if you are participating for some quiz show.

Trivia Throwdown

So far I have put 6.5 hours into Trivia Throwdown and have enjoyed all 6.5 hours of it! The game has a lot of subjects that will keep you busy and to add to the fun you also get to pick characters as your “fighter” that represents you as you try to answer questions to “beat” down your opponent. So this game isn’t just a bunch of endless questions.

When you start the game you get to pick your fighter as well as 2 of the 9 topics in the game that are your “go to” topics. When you start you get to pick from three topics for each question and the questions are rated by levels of 1-5 with 5 being the most difficult question., you buzz in your answer as does your opponent. If you answer correctly and your opponent answers incorrectly you land a blow of differing strengths to the other guy based on how hard the question was.

The Short of it: A neat spin on the Trivia genre that adds a fighting game visual theme to the mix. Easy to learn and get into, and I really enjoyed the variety of questions (lots of good gaming/movies questions, etc).

Reminds me of: If you liked Trivial Pursuit, Jeopardy, or any other good trivia game there’s a good chance you’ll like Trivia Throwdown.

What Are You Stupid

What Are You Stupid

The game is quite fun and I had a blast playing it, I recommend it to people who actually would want a challenge and that either do not mind or motivate them to play if they get called stupid.

Only form of constructive criticism I can muster: is that when the game gets hard by world 3 you start to lose a lot because the great change of difficulty hence called stupid all the time, in my case it motivated me to keep playing but I can see why someone would quit if they get called stupid all the time.

Humiliating quiz with a dash of humour

‘What Are You Stupid’ is a trivia based single player game published and developed by Beat-Fu studios. To be precise only 3 people made this game possible. Inspired by the old comic stripes: ‘What Are You Stupid’, the humour is surely 10/10 for each and every character who challenges you in their respective mastered fields and the goal is to beat them. Currently this game is available only on PC and all you need is a mouse to play.

The whole game is hand-drawn which makes it more interesting in each and every aspect. You are playing as the youngest child of the family who is not being treated well and his knowledge is questioned (told through a quick story at the beginning of the game) and thus he goes on a spree to prove each and every family member wrong and to say at the end of quiz -“I’m not stupid”(but, ONLY if you win the quiz). The topics range from Animals to Games, Sports to Socialite Subjects, Food and Culinary to Science. It starts from your own house where you first challenge your Dad and then you can challenge your mother, sister or brother before going to other relative’s houses. All the questions are asked in a multiple choice format with a clock ticking above your head. The quiz time is 5-8 minutes per

It’s Quiz Time

It’s Quiz Time

If you enjoy playing a game of trivia with friends or family and you all have a smartphone at hand then you really can’t go wrong with It’s Quiz Time… In fact, it’s really quite a good game! The overall visual look of it is great and it has this really pleasing visual presentation that makes it feel like an actual gameshow of sorts. There is also the AI host who uses some form of text to speech to engage players and will continually throw shade at your oldest player; it’s just all done really well within the confines and limitations you would expect for a party game like this! There are plenty of different segments that are used throughout the rounds and they really do vary up the gameplay and you will have your favourite segments. In all honesty there isn’t really a quiz game like this on Steam (to my knowledge) and to be honest I feel like this game gets a much harsher reception than it deserves… Admittedly sometimes the questions can be a little bit generic or outright obscure and the game will often take question themes and run with them for example fastest animal between said animals, or tallest etc. But overall this is a fun game to play with friends and family in a living room setting (even the older people will get involved)! I mean, you need to find some games to make a Steam Link worth while!

A great addition to the line-up of party games to be brought out when having family & friends over. Similar to the Jackbox games, this is more Quiz focused with a handy feature to localise questions around a specific global region in the settings. Whilst the game truly shines playing locally in the same room with others, there are modes for solo play and streaming (with a handy option to increase answering times to better account for stream delay).

There are customisable playlists where round types can be added or removed depending on your preference; these can be curated and saved to be fired up depending on who you’re playing with. The AI host, Salli, adds a personalised touch as she reads names aloud and remembers players between gameplay sessions. Stat tracking is also available on the android/iOS apps.

The Jackbox Party Pack 6

The Jackbox Party Pack 6

As per usual, this party pack follows the trend of a couple amazing games and a few forgettable ones.

That being said, the good games in this pack are really fucking good.

Trivia Murder Party 2 is an overall improvement from the original. The kill rooms are more unique, the questions are harder, and the race at the end was made just a tad more difficult. Is it better than the first? Up to you, but mostly, yes.

Dictionarium is… boring. It’s a game about words, you make definitions, then you make new words based on the definitions. It’s like a literature nerd’s take on the game Telephone, but it just doesn’t make the cut.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

The Jackbox Party Pack 6 nails everything perfectly. The perfect trivia game, the perfect word game, the perfect deceit game, the perfect joke game. Everything about this pack is bliss. I’ll go over each game individually.

JOKE BOAT - The joke spewing comedy club, Joke Boat. Good visuals, fun music and host. Only drag to this game is it’s length, but it depends on the crowd you play it with. Overall pretty good and funny.

TRIVIA MURDER PARTY 2 - The long awaited sequel to the long beloved game. This sequel balances out the imperfections of the original by making Killing Rooms easier to survive and more fun to play through. Sometimes I hoped to get a question wrong to play! The music, visuals, style, and feel make this the perfect sequel to a perfect game.

You get what you paid for, 5K achievements at minimum price. If you’re an achievement hunter looking to increase the number of achievements on your profile showcase, then I highly recommend buying this. Else don’t waste your money. This is not a game, it’s just a way of distributing achievements.

Fun questions but it is not good that they changed it so there is 5000 achievements. That removes all the seriousness in the game and that is just sad to see.

YOU DON’T KNOW JACK HEADRUSH

YOU DON’T KNOW JACK HEADRUSH

HeadRush is an interesting experiment by the Jellyvision gang. Basically, it’s You Don’t Know Jack but with trivia geared towards 90’s teens, and it works. It’s a little quirky by having the players be color-coded and able to choose from a selection of 6 avatars, and the cash is, for the most part, multiplied by 10 from the YDKJ values. Bob (or as I like to think, Guy Towers under a different name) is a good host and fits perfectly. Get this if you want to challenge your brain.

I like this spin-off of the “You don’t know Jack!” series so much. The questions aren’t THAT difficult like in the other Jack titles, but yet still challenging.

I refused to type my name in the field once, so I received the name “Butt Cavity”. In the other Jack game (I think it was Part 1) I was called…“Small Member”.

! No, it’s not small…honest!

11/10 better than “Who wants to be a Millionaire?”

Embarrassing admission: when I was in middle school, I had a crush on Cookie.

I’ve still got the game disk (and instruction manual!) for this kicking around somewhere, though I haven’t been able to actually run it on a computer since about 2005. I bought the bundle pretty much the instant I saw that, at long last, the YDKJ games were available on Steam (well, some of them).

YDKJ Movies was tough when I played it when it first came out, because I was pretty young and hadn’t seen that many movies. Now it’s still really tough, because the majority of movies I’ve seen came out since 1997 (or at least are fresher in my memory). I’m pretty good at trivia, so I never found any of the other YDKJ games difficult, but this one’s still rough. Still, the humor and nostalgia more than make up for it, and getting questions wrong just means more opportunities for Cookie to hilariously insult me. I don’t even mind.

[System used - Win 10; 1070GTX, Gaming rig and Win10 HP 8mb ram laptop with 2GB dedicated graphics]

I have always liked the “You don’t know Jack” games - having played them since their first incarnation many window platforms ago. They can lose their magic a little because they follow the same formula, but it’s bit like having different trivial pursuit games, enough different topics and a bit of fun to play with someone else, or by yourself.

As I am from Australia the only downside is that there is a lot of content that is not relevant or is specific to US (eg: some comedy and tv shows that may not be shown here), although if you have a good general kinowledge of movies then this is only a very minor criticism. I would like to see some Oz movies included of course. Note that I have played this game a lot more than the 2 hours it says on my steam account.

Who knew that Jerry West could not be a member of ABBA if the members of the group were members of the ABA because West was never an ABA player?

YOU DON’T KNOW JACK TELEVISION

YOU DON’T KNOW JACK TELEVISION

For a game produced in 1997, most of the questions are about TV shows from the 1950’s-1970’s. The classic slightly confusing You Don’t Know Jack way in which questions are asked is usually kinda fun, but quickly becomes an annoyance in this game because of how extremely dated most of the questions are. They were dated in 1997! I recommend skipping this one and picking another in the YDKJ franchise.

This game has a lot of questions about classic TV, not just the 80’s and 90’s. My mom, who has a big collection of DVDs of shows from the 50’s and 60’s, slaughtered me at this game. It’s fun, just be prepared to know all your 20th century TV inside and out.

Also, this game is completely incompatible with Steam controllers. If you have a living room setup, I hope you have a wireless keyboard.
