Heavenworld

Heavenworld

Let’s be straight about this:

Didn’t Liked:

-After you Build something, you can’t erase it from that place

-Enemy factions respawn their members, no matter if you took most of them. they always grow, when other factions (neutral or allied ones) don’t. They can loose members but won’t raise it’s numbers.

-The game has a option of up to 150 people (including the player) to appear in the map, but i never saw more than 60 and they go down quickly)

-Map editor isn’t full (you don’t have all the things you see on the map, i don’t know why but you can really build what you saw on the Official Map for example.. isn’t Full really, only.. 50%.. of it you can use it)

This game as a very unique concept, it combines both base building with direct character control offering a more immersive feel rather than being that entity in the sky that just places buildings and manage resources like more RTS. It’s comparable to State of Decay’s base mgmt system but with a lil more room for placement. The ability to customize your gameplay is huge as some aspects to the game isnt favored by players so you can create the game to your liking.

Pros:

  • Fun and dynamic base building offering creative ways to design your base to your liking

Hollow Island

I heard about this game from Vindsvept, which is the person who does the music in the game, and I love his music in generally and the price for the game was very cheap so I figured I wanna support him at the same time attempt to play single player (Which I normally can’t do).

However I most say this game was very pleasing, Very relaxing and rewarding at the same time. It was the kinda game where you were given the easy option out but you didn’t want to take that road because it felt like the game would end to quickly. I normally take those easy options in a game but not in this one.

Hollow Island is an extraordinarily relaxing and straight forward experience. And well worth the price of admission.

People will drawn comparisons with Stardew Valley, and I agree up until a point - It has a really laid back atmosphere that’s felt down to the smallest sound effect, you’re the new kid on the block and your success is down to your own pursuits, you can farm or go mining, and good lord the soundtrack is incredible and perfect for the setting.

But there’s less of an emphasis on community relationships, and much more of an emphasis on exploration, dungeon delving and combat.

This game is beautiful, charming and relaxing. The story is very interesting.

You are a cat-like creature, you can jump from high places and hate water. You wake up on your 15th birthday, everybody is gone and you need to find out what happened. The game rewards you if you are observant and explore every corner of the map.

At the moment only the first map is available and few primary quests can be completed, but a big content update is planned in few weeks.

For an early alpha it is very polished, controls are very good. The developer is one of the nicest people here on steam.

I love this game. There are the obvious reasons like the artstyle, first person gameplay and exploration aspect. But what I especially like is the whimsical storyline and discovering items while completing tasks and quests. It’s not a grind game, it’s a mind game. It’s a relaxing, beautiful journey of exploration with a language all it’s own. I also like that while there are dangerous creatures there can be alternatives to killing. EONIA is like becoming engrossed in a good book and losing track of time. The crazy thing is EVERYTHING is created by just one person. Very impressive.

At this point I cannot recommend this game.. It’s beautiful but very strangely organized. There are also a number of technical problems, which you might or might not encounter. They have brought me to a point where the game is essentially unplayable. Your experience might be different.

Totally mind boggling what many reviewers have said about playing the game in two to four or more hours. I have explored and struggled and experienced many, many unnecessary crashes at the middle stage of the game. Lately whenever I click on a glowing object, the cursor gets stuck. There seem to be two different pointers, one belonging to the mouse, one thrown out by the game. Often in trying to disengage from the stuck point, the game becomes unplayable. Swings from high to low screen resolution and often crashes (“minimizes”) down to the taskbar icon. Generally the position is “saved,” but what saved means is open to debate.

Summary: Loved the aesthetics, music, and gameplay, puzzles were trivially easy, don’t get it if you want any challenge.

This is Talos Principle for kiddos. It uses a similar world system as Talos, where you can explore a beautiful world and 2-3 puzzles are contained within each world. Sometimes the puzzles overlap which is cool. The way the game uses colors is really fascinating and advanced, so if you’re after effects and aesthetics, you’ll love the hell out of that aspect of this game. There’s also dynamic weather! This works for the beauty of the game but can make navigating a bit confusing because levels at certain times of day do not look anything like they do at other times of the day. Loved the color and the natural design, simplistic but pretty. The soundtrack is amazing as well, it really added to the whole experience and is one of the better ambient game soundtracks I’ve heard.

A great idea, and shows a lot of potential.

So far it’s rather simplistic, but fingers crossed for updates, and even in its current state I would recommend this game at its current price if you really want to support this idea (As of review date, £2.99). Maybe wait for a sale if you’re only interested in gameplay (Which is fair, I mean you’re here for games to play), or who knows, future updates may add more core gameplay. It’s fun visiting familiar places, whizzing around and just playing about. From your home town, to tourist locations, to tiny islands in the middle of the ocean, there’s all sorts of odd places you can visit.

A great game for those times when you want to blow up floating purple things in New York. On a serious note, this game has a lot of potential. The 3D exporter that is included, while it may not be much at the current moment (textures dont work properly, roads are all weird, etc), It seems like if it gets polished up some more, it could be really useful for things like making map mods for other games and what not. As for the game itself, it’s rather simple but it’s fun for a little while. But, I cant say too much, as this game has just been released and it will likely change with time. It would be awesome to be able to play something like GTA or Garrys Mod on this game’s engine.

on the one hand the game is pathetic and trivial like for 6-7 year old kids( for e.g spell rat, cat, dog) and then ist so insanely difficult that even a pro player cant complete the tasks( Soccer game). So basically this game cant be recommended to anybody.

edit Im changing this review to a positive one. The reason is firstly, that i managed to get the “soccer” achievment and secondly..the game is soooooooo cute! little pornfirio

You get what you paid for, 2K achievements at minimum price. If you’re an achievement hunter looking to increase the number of achievements on your profile showcase, then I highly recommend buying this. Else don’t waste your money. This is not a game, it’s just a way of distributing achievements.

Got this as part of a bundle. I can’t seem to even launch this game properly. Tried various suggested things (as found in the Steam Discussions for this game) to fix this but nothing did the trick so far.

Subsequently I can’t really say anything about the actual gameplay, neither good nor bad. At 2k+ achievements I reckon the main target audience isn’t there for compelling gameplay in the first place though.

The most beautiful game i ever played.

More like a relaxing trip to a rural Japanese town in the 1960s. Plus a train driving simulator.

It is difficult finding the right words. Right now there is only the Japanese version released, but an English translation is planned. So right now you definitely miss the best part of the game if you can’t read Japanese. The story mode is more than just a story, it is somewhere between poetry and memories of the past.

But even if you don’t speak Japanese and always dreamed to have a time machine and go to a small Japanese village in the 1960s this is the closest you’ll ever get.

I got this game back in 2013, so I’ve had this for awhile. Today though when I decided to look back on this game, there was an active server, but with only like 2 people on it. Unfortunately, the game is pretty much dead. But, when it was still alive and getting updaes, it was a blast. Sometimes people would just muck about, destroying everything, or each other. Or fly helicopters on the crashed jets, which would launch the helicopter way high into the air. Or fighting over who would get the spaceship. Maybe even just fly the huge airliner as wildly as possible. Then whenever you did have someone spawn in as Omegalodon, it’d be one hell of a fight. If someone can at least bring the game back, then that would be amazing. If the developer also does ever come back (and that’s a pretty large if), then maybe the game could become even greater.
