Changed the review from negative to positive, since the developer fixed
the broken hitboxes & achievements with latest update. Thanks for that !
This indie-for-honor-budget-version plays wonderfully now.
Decent roster with easy & straightforward inputs , 2 unique skills (per character) that are great for mixups & nice stamina management.
I enjoyed playing even vs AI ,worth mentioning it supports online as well as remote play.
Latest update also added a new character and map alongside bug fixes so that was a nice surprise, i ll be coming back to this from time to time !

Art of Deception
Assassination game similar to The Deed but longer & contain more story
The only cons i can think is the translation while decent is not perfect(Originally russian indie game)
the menu remain in russian though through trial and error i can guess which is one is load/save/item
All in all it’s worth it for a few dollars
Too bad the translation is incomplete in the last part..all russian..didnt understand single things

Azurebreak Heroes
Honestly this game is amazing. It has it’s few flaws, sometimes being easy, sometimes weird hit boxes, but over all it is a charming little dungeon game. You make your way though it with mutliple endings, plenty of powerups and fun characters.
If you wanna see a runthrough of the first ending take a look at this video: https://youtu.be/8M6o7TsZt4A
9/10, love it, has its few little flaws, dev said they might add in a hard mode which would be amazing can’t wait to see what else they add in

Really nice little roguelite game with great visuals and music.
Gameplay revolvs around the six different, five of which need to be unlocked, characters each with different active and passive skills. In the typical roguelike/roguelite fashion you are put into a randomly generated version of the gameworld and slowly unlock more and more upgrades which you can use to make all kinds of different item- and character synergies.

Castle Woodwarf 2
My fondest memories of the early internet as a child was playing flash games on Miniclip - particularly those tower / town defense games, charmingly simple but addictively formulaic, that kept me coming back missed save after missed save. Developed by Domo Games, Castle Woodwarf 2 takes this familiar formula and adds charming art, a decent variety of troops and enemy units, and a challenge/difficulty system that allows you to revisit levels at higher difficulties, and unlock boss fights for each one once you’ve bested them on normal.

Yo!-Are ya here for the review of this awesome game?
You think the game is not awesome?
Well then..Let me start the review.
So about this game:
The game has 2 mechanics:Resource management and Tower defense.
You gather resources to build up defenses and your army while the enemy waves are spawning towards you.
What you need to do is survive long enough to kill every spawned enemy attacking you and end the wave.
There are different levels and the finish is at Level 15 where the Boss comes in-Defeat him and you win the game.

Dungeon Highway
I love the simplicity of this game! Really well designed and probably even more fun on an iPad or iPhone!
Great game!!
Here is a quick video review of the game so you can see for yourself!!

I would definitely recommend Dungeon Highway. It is very fun game that I think anyone could enjoy. You can earn experience to get multiple players, and improve your score to even get on the scoreboards! For me, I think about seven dollars was worth it. I play it all the time and so far, I haven’t seen many negative sides to this game. This is a great game, and I would definitely recommend that you buy it.

Fly, Glowfly!
Fly, Glowfly! is a mobile app that’s been dumped on Steam as a cheap, lazy cash grab. It’s a tablet ported ripoff of Khet/Deflexion. The lasers have been replaced with a bug, and the mirrors with wooden blocks.
You can play Khet ripoffs for free in web browsers. Mobile apps don’t belong on Steam. No recommendation from me.

Just played it for a few minutes and it’s a really interesting game. I’m at the beginning of the first level and feels so nice and the music is relaxing. If you want to get away from super hard games, this is the one to get.

Indeep | The casual dungeon crawler
A good start, but this is not a game that is ready for full release let alone charging money for. Looks and plays like a college game design project than anything else. No story, imbalanced enemies, inconsistent rewards from enemies, steep grind for little reward; you’ve read this story before. See the screenshots on the store page and you’ve seen the game. The dev has a good start here, to be sure, but should have taken way longer on it than they did.

I can’t turn and can’t open the chests. If it wasn’t for the minimap it would be too confusing to turn corners and always be facing one direction like I’m walking sideways facing the wall.
I think it’s incomplete and abandoned so I would not recommend it at this time and probably not ever. The graphics were nice but the mechanics are completely disfunctional.

Moeras
This is actually my favorite Sokpop game I’ve played so far, but I still can’t give it a recommendation if for no other reason than for the fact that it has broken achievements. If we’re going to be getting such small games for $3 a pop, we should at least be getting working achievements.

On June 10th 2021, broken achievements were removed. Hooray.
Moreas is an interesting game. I spent some time just walking the vast emptiness of the world, which is somewhat intentional (and you need it for some achievements). Most of the action is right at the start, and you can miss the beast if you aren’t quick enough.

The Nine Lives of Nim: Fortune’s Fool
A very charming SIM/Visual Novel hybrid about a cat faerie called Nim who is tasked to search for her prince in a city called Valora.
You have 1 month to increase your stats than can trigger storylines of different Shakespeare characters and get several endings that shapes the fate of Nim. 1 month doesn’t seem like a lot but this game has a lot of storylines, which actually made me interested with Shakespeare’s works. Not to mention a lot of endings and different ending variations that gives this a high replay value. It was enjoyable and addiction to the end.

A traditional stat-raising life simulation game with interesting new approaches.
The mechanics are very simple, but there is a lot of depth to be found in the different plotlines and how actions affect the game and endings. The protagonist’s three forms as cat, spirit, and human adds a unique layer of complexity.
I definitively recommend this game for fans of the genre.
