Cyber Hook
Edit 2: Last review was at 160ish hours…I am now at 280. This game is just amazing, and the community in the Discord just brings it all together. The devs are super active and there is a major update coming very soon! It’s going to make this already amazing game even better.
Edit: Uhhhhhhhh yeah it’s a really good game guys. I’ve only put a small amount of time in it since my original review…Which was about 16 hours in.
Such a smooth platformer. Simple to learn but hard to master type game. If you liked games like Cluster Truck, Mirrors edge or any other 3D platformer, you’ll love this. It really itches that scratch for a fast paced platformer.

Snake Pass
Snake Pass is an extremely unique, physics-based platformer with a vibrant, saturated color scheme, excellent visuals, a finely crafted soundtrack composed by none other than David Wise (responsible for the “Stickerbrush Symphony” track in Nintendo’s Donkey Kong Country 2 video game), and features cleverly contrived controls for the snake’s movements.
Firstly, I would like to express that I think Sumo Digital has done an amazing job in creating something that is outside of the ordinary for the average level-based 3D platformer genre. What we have here is a very unique game that demonstrates very creative/very skilled utilization of Unreal Engine 4. It may be to some people’s surprise that Snake Pass is actually a very hardware-demanding game–this is primarily because of the fact that Noodle–the protagonist snake you control–has a body comprised of highly reactive, fine-tuned geometry that entirely obeys the laws of physics inside the game’s engine; from head to tail, the snake is wholely reactive to every surface and object it contacts in a realistic manner. In addition to this, varying friction upon different surfaces, reactive water, caustic lighting effects, and reactive foliage (grass) all will give your computer’s hardware a run for its money. Considering these demanding hurdles, the port for PC is very well done.

I never try to make “useful” reviews. Sometimes I make a joke, sometimes I debate other reviews, sometimes I share one thought or a stream of consciousness. This time I just want this game to have another positive review, because it deserves another thousant of those, but I can give only one. So you don’t have to read it. Probably lots of better reviews had already been written ;) [a joke]
I’m actually blown away with Snake Pass. I always admire when devs have some genious and innovative idea. It is really hard to come up with something new when the game industry is already bigger than movies (which are 100 years older) and music (how much it is older, could be a topic of a long debate). But those guys made it. The experience of controlling the snake moves is beyond my expectations, if I ever had some - but I didn’t, becasue this idea is so original and ingenious. [one thought]

Extricate
Extricate is an IL (individual level) speedrun game where the main mechanic is bunny hopping. Now let me preface this and say I am completely new to bunny hopping, i have never played any counter strike game or anything like that - but Extricate does not punish me for that. In fact, the game helped me pick it up pretty quickly and let’s me keep seeing my progress through getting faster and faster times on various levels. There is an in game replay system which lets you see top players strats and learn them yourself. I’m really impressed with the level design and the various skips and strats that the devs actually intended for you to use to get great times. This game is a MUST for anyone who likes IL games, speedruns, bunny hopping and, honestly even just FPS movement.

DISCLAIMER: Key received early in development for playtesting.
Extricate is a fantastic game for every person who enjoys bunnyhopping, speedrunning, first person platforming or competing against your friends to see who is the fastest.
With simple movement that’s easy to learn but hard to master, it stands as a great contender for best first person platformer in my own opinion.
Great speed and responsive controls in a polished package, the developers has managed to create this fantastic product in a truly impressive amount of time and they are not stopping their improvements and additions.

Super Lovely Planet
I usually rate games out of 10 but I don’t think that really applies here.
There’s no story or anything like that, but you probably aren’t expecting that anyways. It’s a fast paced 3d platformer set in the same aesthetic as Lovely Planet. The atmosphere of the game is good enough to where you don’t feel bad about playing for long periods of time. And it’s hard. The controls are a bit difficult, and the game is meant to be a challenge.
For a casual playthrough I’m not sure I could recommend this game. However, from the perspective of a speedrunner, it is an excellent game. There is plenty of freedom in your route, and doing the levels perfectly (and quickly) is extremely challenging and rewarding.

actually really fun, the controls look bad but once you get used to them they’re actually wonderful in how risky they are (do you jump and have little control but go quickly or do you walk incredibly slowly) though the secrets can be a bit esoteric (its very possible that im just dumb however)

1984 Rewired
1984 Rewired is a Fun game at a reasonable price. It seems pretty polished, but I have found some visual bugs when playing. Keep in mind at the time of me writing this review it is still in early access. I’ve sunk 3 hours into this game on the first day of buying it before i got burnt out and needed a break. Overall, I would recommend buying it if you are looking for a fast paced high energy game with a unique look. This game is also perfect for speedrunning or to have in the background of a commentary YouTube video.

Good fps platformer with a ton of content.
Worth the 8 bucks for sure, doubly so if you’re a completionist.

Ball of Doom
This game is a good game it offers a huge map, almost unlimited replay value, and the difficulty makes the game a little rage inducing but it makes you come back to get revenge every day.

you die really easily and the load time to get back into something very mediocre is not worth it
many other games have offended me far worse than this, so theres that

Cheer and Track
Great mechanics, great game, it had some really good pros, but no flaws at all. Character models are just amazing, artwork is stunning and my friend was able to play with me online. 10/10

Crumble
VERY solid 3D platformer. I’m thoroughly impressed. Especially considering this is these Developers' first child. What first impressions :D.
Highly entertaining. Very challenging. Reminds me of another game called “Cluster Truck” but with a bigger budget & more content yet the same price. The physics in this game are superb and highly entertaining. The controls are smoothe & fair. The grapple is intuative. Air control is flawless. Wholeheartedly reccomend. It’s also, can confirm, super fun with friends :). 100%’d the game. Much replayability trying to beat your previous times. Has a few secrets up its sleeve ;3. Games price seems super duper fair for 15$ base price :D. I USUALLY collect games on deep sales; and I feel no qualms buying this full price c: .

Hate giving this a negative review since I feel like I should enjoy this. But the grappling physics that make up the fundamentals of Crumble keep me from coming back to improve my times.
With gamepad:
The priority of what the tongue “wants” to grab makes it feel like a painfully sluggish trial and error when going for better times. Even the slightest difference in approach can make the difference between the tongue pulling you directly into a wall or a graceful swing along side it for speed. Every time I pull off a good jump, it feels like random luck. There’s no feedback telling me what Im doing right or wrong when it comes to maintaining speed. The “aim cursor” is a damn liar and should be ignored. You can grab when you cant see it, and it does not tell you how long the tongue will be anyway(important to know, to properly time your release for more speed).

Felix Jumpman
This could be an excellent game, but the dev dropped the ball on the main aspect of the game. Felix Jumpman revolves around jumping from one asteroid to another… and by some reason they decided that the jump will be done automatically.
I mean… I was hoping that you’d have to calculate your acceleration to not under or overshoot and become stranded in space. Maybe the gravity would change every level, according to the planet’s gravity? According to each asteroid size? But no. You look to the asteroid and press space and there you go. Take off and land automatically. Boring.
– Real player with 3.8 hrs in game
Very simplistic game with no depth to it whatsoever.
The idea is fun and intesting for about 10 minutes at which point you have seen enough of it, learned how it works and are waltzing through the levels with ease.
It’s one of these “run to the goal before time runs out” kinda games in which you jump from asteroid to asteroid in search of your ship’s missing parts to leave the level before your oxygen runs out. That’s it. There is nothing else to it.
While this may be fine for people who look for a way to burn a bit of time every now and then, players who look for a challenge will find themselves to be disappointed. There is nothing new to see in this game you didn’t already see during the first 5 minutes of gameplay. In other words, unless you like the core gameplay of this game A LOT, it will get boring REALLY fast.
