This is a really fun game. My eight year old son really enjoys playing it and begs to get on the computer so he can play it. It has been a great distraction for him during lock down. He especially enjoys tweaking the game settings in custom mode.

I like this game. It’s an ever-changing puzzle adventure that randomizes every time. I’m still working towards the dungeon creator by earning the right achievements, but I enjoy the gameplay. Well-worth the low cost of 5.99.

Good luck Muglump hunters.

Just finished this amazing little game. My total playthrough was just under 4 hours, but that’s just the time you need to play through the game to completion. To ace the minigames and get all the achievements, you’d need to put in double or triple that. I’m not a massive achievement hunter, so I’ll take my 4 hours and bow out gracefully.

Without spoiling this game too much, it’s a story that many of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s know all too well. We were kids at a point where the technology curve was a sheer cliff. Only the minds of kids could comprehend the changes, and the adults were left standing. Those of us who yearned for sci-fi worlds of AI and Robots, space travel, dungeon delving were utterly misunderstood by our parents and told to stop daydreaming… And then came computers.. Suddenly you didn’t just read about it in the comics or (if you were lucky) books… Now you could actually go there! Just a 5 minute tape load, or a 10p inserted into an arcade machine was all that separated you from the mundane world of impending nuclear war, urban decay, hyperinflation and riots. Suddenly you were in another world, escapism at the time when we needed escapism the most. And this game tells that story, through the eyes of someone living through it, experiencing the loneliness of constantly looking out at the horizon and thinking “This can’t be all there is! There must be more!”. A chance walk, a turn, and suddenly you find yourself surrounded by portals into other worlds, and you have a handful of keys to the portals in your pocket.

198X takes an arcade game time capsule from the 1980s and brings it to life through superb pixel art, awesome music, and amazing story-telling. Sure, it might be short overall, with completion time anywhere around 1.5-2 hours estimated, but the experience is quite a blast.

Take a trip down memory lane with very (and I mean very) forgiving retro-style (look, feel, the whole deal) arcade games recreated with so much love and attention found within this title. The game recreates five different styles of games with a really unique and fun gameplay element in each one, so no wonder this game claims to not just be this or that, in its really enticing trailer.

This game is worth 5 bucks. What you get when you buy this game is beautiful animations, fantastic music, and fast-paced gameplay that’s easy to pick up while having a lot of depth for those willing to master it. The solo missions do a great job of easing you into the game’s mechanics while not bogging you down in tutorials. And the multiplayer experience is frankly amazing.

Your full enjoyment of the game will depend on if you can set it up with multiplayer though. It basically requires 4 remotes; playing with keyboard controls puts you at a huge disadvantage. Fortunately, the game not very resource-intensive, so you carry around a cheap laptop to play it anywhere. Unfortunately, multiplayer is less convenient for desktop PC users, especially if your PC is set up in a bedroom or somewhere with limited space.

Short but fun 2D platformer.

As one of the four available characters (they seemed pretty much the same other than their looks) you jump, shoot, dash and shield your way through a bunch of short missions.

There are three different mission types:

  • Target practice = Hit all the targets scattered around the stage using either your gun, shield or dash.

  • Danger Zone = Reach the goal while avoiding enemies/traps.

  • Dash = Rush to the goal as fast as possible.

There are multiple stages, each with their own gimmick, and despite each stage being only 20-60 seconds long most of them were fun to play through.

The game is fun. I have middle aged eyes. I had difficulty reading fine print on my laptop screen. There is fine print throughout the game. I would not buy it again for this reason despite the fun times. If you are young with good vision, recommend.

This is Hyper Jam

, a retro themed fast paced arena figther, that keeps you focused and tryingharding, you need to win, no matter what. What makes this game so great are multiple things:

**The Music: **Just amazing 80’s synthwave/retro electro music that hypes you up, makes you feel connected to the game, and just feels good to listen to.

Even if you are waiting for a game, it’s just nice to listen to while waiting, building the hype for the upcoming game, and keeping the hype from the last one. Simply perfect.****

Hyper Jam is one of the most polished indie titles I’ve ever played, and probably one of the best couch-competitive games out there.

The combat feels like it’s hit the perfect spot between too simple and too complex - everyone can understand and use each mechanic, but there’s enough depth for die-hards and experienced players to perfect and start pulling off impressive plays. The perk system makes every match feel different, and combined with the barrages you can send down when knocked out, helps equalize the playing field a little.

Remember when shooter games where gleefully unrealistic, uncomplicated, unpretentious, and thus fun? That’s what this little retro gem is all about. Well, that and fluorescent pink tanks and attack helicopters.

You get to blow up bad guys, cars, even buildings, you can ride vehicles and fly fighter jets, you can buy upgrades and become obscenely overpowered, and all while enjoying unabashedly 80s graphics and soundtrack. The game even has pretty decent replayability value.

I doubt you could find anything more entertaining at this price.

In a nutshell: RewindApp stole a free online game named Hammer 2 and upgraded it with synthwave aesthetics. It surely raises concern whether it’s acceptable for paying such a scam, but I hadn’t known it before my purchase, and for the sale price of 0,39 €, I had quite a good time with this game.

The game itself is a cheap GTA knockoff, the graphics are nice, the music is excellent. Quests are easy and repetitive (kill/destroy N things), vehicle control is a bit poor (except for drifting, which was cool), physics is irreal. Upgrades are not necessary, and if you want some challenge, avoid buying too much of it (especially Golden Gun, starter weapons, infinite ammo, god mode and jetpack), otherwise it will be child’s play and no fun at all. All 30 quests can be finished in merely 2 hours, the 100% completion (time limit, trophy score, secret package) requires about 2-3x more time, depending on the player.

Stereo Aereo

Stereo Aereo

Stereo Aereo is a Guitar Hero ripoff where you control a car that has to skip between lanes of traffic (making it appear more like an endless runner), which somehow is how the developers think music is made.

It’s not very expensive and it plays okay (although the menu is almost impossible to navigate if you own a HOTAS or racing wheel because the devs didn’t bother testing the game on PC). The problem is that it’s just not as good as Guitar Hero, or any other music/rhythm game. So just play one of those if that’s your thing.

Real player with 35.3 hrs in game

So if you’re into games like guitar hero or rock band then you will more than likely enjoy this, it’s just a lot smaller.

It’s not an amazing masterpiece but it’s a simple easy to play indie arcade game, it challenges your reaction skills and puts your rage meter to the test, but it is fun with a cool 80s soundtrack that keeps you rocking.

Graphics

No problems graphics wise, the cutscenes are cartoony and the gameplay looks great and all blend in nicely together to give it that retro space look from the 80s

bought this game specifically so I could laugh at it, it has that sort of charm that you get from movies like The Room (or anything made by Neil Breen.) WAY too graphically demanding, however, and there’s tons of problems with enemy AI and lighting, but it’s laughably playable. Overall solid work.

I don’t like when I have to restart a game and do everything again and again but make sure I remember every detail…HOWEVER…this game in particular has an art form to it in which I appreciate. There is a certain hype element and excitement from getting a bit further every game play and mastering the completion of the game. It’s spooky, it’s odd, it’s interesting, it’s fun…I like it!
