The tram of wishes

The tram of wishes

Just a really calming game to play before bed. My nightly routine for the past week has been to take a melatonin, drink some bedtime tea and play this game for 20-30 minutes. Bonus if you have the night time dimmer setting on your pc. Really helps me get to sleep.

First time playing, I did not understand that there were tasks I could solve, I was just stopping at every stop. Then I read the comments and started getting the gist of this. Simplistic gameplay and art style and the latter is in cute watercolor. Ending music score is nice. The message is pretty nice. Story and riddles could have been a little deeper.

Sayonara Golden Days

Sayonara Golden Days

A short if not somewhat relatable story of a group of friends slowly growing apart due to life and the project they left behind. It has a bit of a puzzle that doesn’t take too long to figure out.

All of the story is told through dialogue before each level or little snippets.

Only real gripe I have is the rather extremely slow pace of the character (annoying but understandable to fit the first game feel) and that the game crashed on me during credits roll. It was a nice game, but since it deleted my save file I don’t want to restart just to see if the last achievement is at the end.

Short, worthwhile, a good experience. I’m glad I got to play the game, and I enjoyed learning about the characters. I had some problems with menus and freezing, but this didn’t drastically impact my experience.

Destined to Die

Destined to Die

I will admit. I did not like this game at first, it’s just repetitive with nothing new. However the more hours I played it the more involved I got to complete the game and all of it’s achievements. After my initial “this is boring” I really got into the game and made the decisions. I wanted to. This game involved patience and a lot of experimenting. I would however recommend for a little game that makes you really see the meaning of how some peoples lives go.

I like the concept of the game and how it’s sort of like a puzzle where you have to figure out what to do and what not to do. But I’m confused about whether or not this game has any real rhyme or reason to it. I would try out a specific routine and it would work one day, raising all my stats, but then I’d try the same routine the next day and all my stats would decrease and I’d end up dying. Following the tips the cat offers in the game didn’t seem to affect my stats too much either, maybe only for one day and then all my stats would decrease again. Overall, this game was interesting enough to keep my attention but it’s message and true ending are unclear for me

TLDR:

Siimi is a cute minimalistic puzzle game about Siimi who goes out on an adventure to discover her true ‘me’.

What I really liked about the game is that under the cute graphics, there is quite a deep and relatable story. I would recommend the game, but only if you like the art style or the story. The gameplay itself is a bit too shallow for most people I think.

All things considered I think the developers did a really good job, and they should be really proud of themselves for creating a unique game which clearly shows their passion and wish to improve the world.

SIIMI is a very short point and click puzzle game, you definitely can finish it in less than an hour, even though the story is quite short and the puzzle is truly simple, I still enjoyed this game because it has a beautiful art, nice soundtrack and the most important is the story is really meaningful even the title itself has a lot of meaning. I like SIIMI and I learned something from this game, Good Job GOINDOL! Thank you for developing such great game.

Bad animals - rabbit

Bad animals - rabbit

Started as a rabbit. Explored my way through amazing voice effects and bouncy surfaces, experienced fear of the evil dog, till I finally found a way to exploit double jump skill into 10-times jump. I became a super-rabbit, flying through the world, figuring out the tragedic backstory of the world and about its recent events. I found end of the rainbow, fell through the world for a time that felt like eternity, screwed up the game saves, lost all progress.

Being a rabbit is badass.

Unholy Heights

Unholy Heights

An apartment management tower-defense game about your resident monsters against humans.

While the idea of being a landlord is enticing the tower-defense part can get incredibly tedious & repetitious since there’s not a whole lot of strategy to use here from beginning to end.

The idea of the tower-defense is just to stop humans from stealing your money and if they get away with it you only lose your highly expendable tenant should they have died defending the money taken so there’s no real fail state. You try and stop the humans by knocking on the room doors of the monsters of your choosing and IF they’re home (which most usually are) they’ll do their tower-defense thing and help kill the intruders.

Let me tell you about Popan.

Popan was the first baby ever born in my apartments. She was a Cheepy so I didn’t have high expectations. Popan was probably 3 days old when her parents died in an unfortunate ambush on my complex. I had a ton of other tenants, so I didn’t see the harm in waiting for her to grow up. Somehow, she never became in debt. This fucking baby was paying the rent. She grew up to be a total badass. She would single-handedly wipe out entire waves of enemies without breaking a sweat.
