Masters of Puzzle

Masters of Puzzle

A jigsaw puzzle program for the serious puzzler. Beautiful classical Art and holiday themed challenges. This is a EA program and still has some features to be added and you can run into some bugs, however the Developer is very involved and quickly responds to your concerns. There is a bit of a learning curve but nothing that shouldn’t be clear after the first puzzle or two.

This is not for the person looking for an hours entertainment. These puzzles are challenging and time consuming. They can take up to an hour or more just unloading the Puzzle box and organizing depending on the number of pieces you select. I have 192 hours logged as of this review and highly recommend this program.

This game brings a whole new take on the jigsaw puzzle theme, and attempts to recreate the true 3D feel of a puzzle board, including the box and all the pieces modeled as you would pick them up by hand, rotate them, and place them. Full keyboard control makes it very easy to move around (WASD and other natural key settings). The game is in EA so it’s understood that many features are still in development, but what is there on day one can already keep one entertained for very long, since there’s the option to play the puzzles also with very large numbers of pieces. Surely a project that deserves support!

Review at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmZKPozT1Hk

I’m sorry to say that this game is very unimpressive, regardless it being free. The instructions are on the steam page if you wish to find out how to play, therefore it jumps you right into the game. There is sooooo much wasted empty space. The matching eggs and so forth can easily be put into a simple smaller grid. The description describes like you can compete against someone, but If you can, I have no idea.

Okay, this was amazing LMAO

I’m a big fan of stupid humor and there were a few jokes I’ve heard before, but even one or two new ones is well worth the low pricetag. I’ve already sent a few of these jokes to my sister and best friend and they were dying. lol

And there’s like, hundreds of jokes here. Really can’t complain at all, thoroughly satisfied with this one! :)

Woops forgot to put my word in my review, haha.

The word it gave me was Ridiculous.

I love it!

Pixel Puzzles 4k: Japan

Pixel Puzzles 4k: Japan

It’s nice to have classic shaped puzzle pieces rather than the types you can find in Pixel Puzzles Ultimate, It’s also nice to have puzzles that aren’t too big, 800/1000 piece puzzles are too big for digital puzzle games played on monitors making them more of a chore than an enjoyable experience.

Real player with 18.9 hrs in game

This appears to be a next-generation Pixel Puzzles game. Next generation as the game’s graphics have been enhanced. Some puzzles are the same or similar to those from PP: Japan. Some are new. The biggest issue is that perhaps no all computers are ready to handle these images easily. Moving pieces for me was rather slow. As well as the pieces needing to be exactly in their correct position to lock-in. You still cannot combine pieces outside of their proper positions. Would recommend. Oh, and be sure to grab a fish and put it in the water pipe…

Note: I could not get the game to work at first. After contacting support I received the following advice which ended up working despite my skepticism:

Uninstall the game and delete the files

Restart the computer

Deactivate the antivirus

Install the game

I have played SCRAP games before in person (both 10ish person escape rooms and large 2k person events). I have not previously played any of their online/digital content. So far, I have only played the free portion of the game, which includes all of Day 1 and the beginning setup of Day 2. The setup of both days includes a video with some characters, 9 people with special items and the king. It seems from what I have seen so far you will need to defeat 4 monsters with the help of the 9 people. This will let you open a chest to help defeat the demon/escape from the demon fortress/something like that. There’s also some mysterious flashing light they ask you to investigate.

Build Your Network!

Build trade routes between cities, overcome natural obstacles such as wild waters and soaring mountains, and be on the lookout for evil bandits. Only with wit and ingenuity, you will be able to build a trading network that maximizes your merchants' profits - and, in turn, your wealth!

Let them Trade!

Interact with a multitude of trader characters! Each with their own personality, their own field of expertise and of course their own preferences on where to spend their money. Butter them up and make their life as easy as possible:

  • Fend off bandits by hiring knights in shiny armors

  • Optimize trade routes so they pass by their favorite resources

  • Adjust tolls to make them happy - no one likes tolls! Don’t feed the toll! Just make sure that you don’t come away empty-handed!

Pure Chess Grandmaster Edition

Pure Chess Grandmaster Edition

Absolute garbage game - no video options means widescreen users need to alter the PC graphics setting to play, otherwise you will be seeing marshmallow pieces stretched across the board. No ability to redo more than a single move means no ability to play out differing strategies within the same game. The levels 1 - 3 are bizarrely weighted to play sudden random nonsense moves such as a queen taking a guarded knight. On higher levels it can play a decent game, but it will still make odd moves that no human would think to play. Most of the piece sets and boards are so bad that seeing your actual pieces is difficult with most combinations. When you rotate the board it stays there and is hard to return to normal. The screen is half filled with windows indicating moves and pieces taken so that no real estate remains and there are no options to remove or alter the screen layout. Stay away from this game as many free downloadable internet chess programs trump it in every way.

really enjoy this game, but there was some trouble at the start, for sure;

the microsoft visual c++ files failed to load-in properly with the install. I noticed my ‘first time’ runner hung when installing, so I aborted it and started again. it seemed to complete, but then I got an error about a missing .dll after the ‘launch screen’ for the game.

–– this was a pretty easy fix. microsoft allows you to download these for free from their site, just look up the file it says is missing and look for a good microsoft link to the distro pack. there was a youtub video about PES game needing the same file, with a nice little tutorial on how to do this and links.
