BATTLESCAR: Punk Was Invented By Girls
Got it for 56 cents as a part of a bundle. Still got disappointed.
To be fair, it is well executed in terms of visual storytelling and cinematography. Some really creative sets there!
Unfortunately, these can’t do much if the narrative and the main characters are bland and uninteresting. The abrupt and undercooked ending made the already underwhelming story - a complete waste of time for me.
Also, it is an oculus exclusive, has a good amount of gender politics at its core, and if your chapter gets interrupted, like USB disconnection (thanks AMD) you need to suffer through the whole chapter without the option to skip forward.

As a VR artist, I really enjoyed this experience. It is quite daring in terms of the format of narrative and also mixing a kind of “book” feel into the VR aesthetic. I would recommend it for any VR artists as a source of inspiration.
The story is not the best however, a bit tacky and shallow but still enjoyable.
Disappointed that it took much longer to get on Steam than on Oculus Store and also that they only support Oculus headsets, especially since there are almost no interactions (any?), so it’s not like supporting controllers of other headsets would’ve been difficult.

Quest for Runia
Super relaxing game for a bit of cooling down after work.
The Controls are far better then i expected them to be.
It happens far less then i thought it would, that i aim at a point on the far end of the ‘gaming table’ and miss the spot i aimed for.
The graphics are a bit bright.. too colorful for my taste, but it doesnt hinder the experience at all. If you like them - even better.
The music adds to the relaxing experience.
The tutorial makes it look like an easy game, but you will soon see, that you have to watch carefully and think a bit before starting a level.

Very nice relaxing game to pause your brain from lockdown, politics, household and so on… I love puzzles and played a lot of Bejeweled on the phone. This is my new Bejeweled in VR - sit down, chill and forget the time. At the beginning it seems easy, but it gets challenging quickly. Above all, I’m someone who always wants three stars, even in other bubbleshooters, and here I haven’t reached them all yet…
I think it might appeal to young and old and VR newcomers, if they love puzzles.

There The Light
I can see this being one of those games that polarizes people - you’re either the type of person who likes this kind of game or you’re not. And if you’re not, you’re probably really going to dislike it.
Fortunately, I’m in the former category. I loved the “vibe” of this game. But more than that, I loved the feeling I experienced playing it. I come from the “walking simulator”/exploration game camp. I love games where I can explore, at my own pace, a place that has a lot to see and experience. I also like puzzles to an extent, and the puzzles in this were either simple (but somewhat meditative) or somewhat annoying (the circular ones). I didn’t struggle too long with any of them, but I enjoyed some more than others, even if they weren’t difficult. It felt like the point of the game wasn’t the puzzles but more the experience as a whole.

There The Light takes the player on a mystical journey through the abandoned ruins of a long lost civilization. The mystery of who these people were and what caused them to leave this world remains unsolved even after the end of the game, although there are hints indicating what actually happened. At the same time, the game leaves a lot of space for personal interpretation or various speculations, the story being conveyed solely through the numerous inscriptions and drawings that one can find on the walls of the surrounding temples. One thing is certain though: this advanced civilization left behind a series of puzzles and enigmatic mechanisms.

Atonal Dreams
Atonal Dreams is an RPG reminiscent of classic console JRPGs: you roam around a field and through dungeons looting treasure chests, talking to NPCs, and engaging in (non-random) turn-based battles that pit your team against hordes of monsters. Grow your characters by masterfully using skills to alter modifiers, build combos, and either destroy your foes or convert them to your side. The game is heavily story- and lore-rich, featuring an often-silly cast of characters who each have hidden depths that are gradually revealed.
-
In the world of Alora Fane, the omnipresent miasma causes thoughts and feelings to manifest as monsters. These can be destroyed with weapons, or tamed using magic. Tamed monsters can be controlled as allies for the duration of the battle.
-
Skills can level up by gaining XP equal to the damage inflicted with them. Stack up bonuses by manipulating a variety of psychological stats for efficient growth!
-
There’s a strong focus on story and characterisation. Dialogue scenes use full models with nuanced facial expression shifts that that add an additional layer of nonverbal storytelling.
-
A quirky blend of absurd British humour and deep layered meanings and metaphors about the nature of mind and reality and characters' hidden backstories and self beliefs.
-
No unnecessary padding or tedious grinding; the game aims to make a memorable mental mark without overstaying its welcome.
STORY
Alora Fane’s gods once walked among the people they dreamed into being, until they were slain - and the world itself wounded - by a defiant blasphemer known as Blight the Betrayer.
A faction of devout knights called the Seraphim emerged to maintain ordered civilisation in the gods' absence, while those who saw the gods' death as freedom from tyranny founded the Blight Wolves to live lives of defiant chaos in the wild.
Centuries after this cataclysm, Savitr - a legendary Seraph whose unusual purple skin and horns reflect the inner demons that haunt him - and his starstruck apprentice, Collie - a former Blight Wolf, eager to rise above her brutal past - set out on a quest to rescue Savitr’s scholar friend from an island of monks who gaze into the infinite sea of potential dreams beyond physical reality.
Savitr’s quest to bring light to the world to atone for his past sins will face challenges from the competing belief narrative of his fiery squire, and by facing their dreams incarnate, they will reveal the light of truth at their core.
Invisible Services - Pixel Art Jigsaw Puzzle
I had fun playing this game. Very relaxing the puzzles was. Plus the music made me feel sleepy as well.
I enjoyed unlocking the achievements. I had trouble finding out what to do to unlock the hidden achievement. But thankfully I found a website guide about the achievement.

what a nice game to play!
Quiet and well-made music.
The art is interesting as it was made, it has animations and has many pieces and that gives a bug in the brain kkkk
I liked the game!

Mira’s Brush
Cute, colorful, and full of lighthearted humor. I had a little trouble getting a feel for the color-swapping mechanics, but other than that, I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played so far. Looking forward to seeing how the game develops as it gets close to full release.

Mira’s Brush is a colorful take on the side-scrolling pixel-art platforming genre, a genre that defined early video games and has persisted through the years. The basic idea is that all the color has been stolen from Chromaland which is now greyscale and it is up to Mira and her brush to restore color. You can steal colors and paint and do a host of different shapes and colors to defeat or blend enemies. Sadly it is marred by clunky gameplay and tutorial and clunky menus.
The platforming aspect of the game is pretty icy and takes some frustrating moments getting used to. I found it difficult to jump high enough sometimes and it really takes more technique to get on to stuff but it is manageable, but it should be like 10% higher. The tutorial floating text is terribly placed and floats off screen and is difficult to see. Sometimes matching enemies to the background does not work.

Adventure Light
Adventure Light is a very atmospheric stylized puzzle side-scrolling game about a young boy named Steve. He is compelled to find his best friend Adam and, in his quest, he ventures onto the darkest paths of the mysterious forest.
Throughout the whole trip, you will encounter various interesting puzzles, which you will have to solve in order to keep moving. All the puzzles are designed as a combination of different elements of the environment that the main character interacts with. In particular: levers, boxes, platforms, carts, lamps, elevators, timers, doors, mills, pulleys, gears, and so on.
In order to make the trip even more enthralling, along the entire road, you will have an opportunity to find hidden plot items, that will reveal the details of this tangled story.
A special emphasis has to be placed on the atmosphere, given that it allows you to put yourself in the main character’s shoes and ultimately immerse in the fantasy world. The proper atmosphere in Adventure Light is established with the help of several key aspects, such as story, arts, color scheme, environment, forest sounds, and background music. All of them combined to allow the player to tap into the right mood and induce in him the right set of emotions.
Through The Fragmentation
Short but sweet. Charming, but at the same time, low-key depressing. The setting, the themes, the visuals, and the music all come together very nicely. The multiple endings and achievements add replayability, and coming back for more was well worth it. There’s some pretty deep and metaphorical stuff going on, which might hit home for many of you, I found it really touching too. Had a very pleasant experience. I don’t think the charm of this game is going to wear off of me for a long time, very memorable stuff.

Defragging For More
I love it to pieces. Or should that be ‘I love it to fragments?'
If like me you’re a fan of Thirty Flights of Loving and Gravity Bones, you might be in the right place. One aspect I really loved about those was the light inventory management combined with something like a spy premise. There’s something so effective about an ‘augmented walking sim.’ Throw in as many varied and single-usage mechanics as you can and you birth something constantly engaging. Not the norm given how expensive a disposable approach to gameplay would make most games.

Our Hero! First
I discovered this game by chance and I was really surprised by the story cause it is adventuros and charming and also funny (I enjoyed its sense of humor). I still have to finish playing but I am sure I will have a lot of fun. The characters are nice and some of them also weird (some of them looks so dumb lol), I like the style and it is evident that those who created the game put a lot of effort on details.
I reccomend it, it is really worth it.
I hope to play more games like this one!

Our Hero! First is an action adventure RPG (not turn based which I love). The sprites and animation are cute and fun and the story is original and not bad. I found no bugs or glitches while playing it and it has good frame rates. There are lots of different swords and enemies to fight, as well as lots of boss fights. The game doesn’t overstay it’s welcome and is enjoyable throughout the whole adventure of Our Hero. It doesn’t have tons of crazy features and is simplistic and easy to learn. I think this game is best for Younger audiences just going in to the world of RPGs, but is a good game for everyone who enjoys them.

RESONARK X
Played this in vrchat and honestly it’s really fun. ^^ I hope to see a option for custom songs? similar to BeatSabers mods. The problem I have is the blue note. They work better in this game then in vrchat. In vrchat, they kinda delay a bit? idk if that’s a vrchat issue or not, hopefully that gets fixed. Overall it’s not a bad game I hope to see more content.
