Blind Drive

Blind Drive

What an interesting game. Blind drive puts you in the shoes of Donny… A guy who is blind folded and cuffed to the steering wheel of a vehicle and sent on his way down a highway against traffic. I will say nothing more on the story as I don’t want to spoil. Anyway, the gameplay is simple enough… You hear a vehicle on one side of the road, steer to the other! That’s not all though. The story takes some wild turns and puts you through many different and sometimes unexpected situations to test you. In all, the sound design is great and story is funny. For it’s price, I’d certainly have to recommend this insane and wacky journey. Sit back, relax, and happy steering!

It’s not everyday one discovers a new genre - and what a pleasant surprise it is!

Playing eyes closed, flat on my back with surround sound headphones and a wireless keyboard, Blind Drive is a wild narrative-driven adventure.

The sound effects and spatial design create an immersive atmosphere, complemented with excellent voice acting and often hilarious one-liners (“Give me a break; I’m driving blind! Can’t you see?"), while the graphics make a complete mockery of my 32:9 monitor.

For gamers who think they’ve seen it all, Blind Drive is like playing VR with your eyes closed.

I Expect You To Die

I Expect You To Die

I just finished the game, but I haven’t returned from the mission.

The level of detail and thought that the developers put into this game is obvious, you can spend some time to explore and enjoy the details or go for the speed challenge and get out as fast as possible, but you will enjoy it either way.

At first I was quite sceptical from all the reviews that were talking about how short this game is, but this is a perfect case of quality over quantity, and they delivered quality, with a great style, graphics, music, vocals and humor.

honestly one of the best vr games i’ve ever played! basically you are a secret agent who must survive different situations by solving whatever puzzle and avoiding every obstacle you face. all of this is to take down the evil agency Zoraxis. here’s a detailed review of every part of the game.

Gameplay: it’s best played in a seated position as your character is sitting and you have nowhere to go really. the game is quite fast paced at certain parts and can give some quite challenging puzzles if you want to challenge your problem solving skills this is certainly one of the best games for it

The multiplayer does not work

The graphics are limited to three settings with no option to turn on/off v-sync

Frame rate is awful

There’s a latency issue whenever you fire

It acts like you can change controls but you can’t

Reload animations are broken if you melee

And the melee… oof.

Melee is literally broken. It honestly is way easier to just go around hitting stuff with melee (which makes no impact sound I might add) then shooting anything. The game feels very uninspired and unfinished. I played less than 2 hours and I already found several ways to break it. Don’t even consider purchasing it unless you want to torture yourself.

I Regret This Purchase Immensely

for the love of god don’t play this

I managed to play this s*** heap of a game for about 3 hours before I got so sick of it that I requested a refund immediately before posting this review, for context.

Despite the adverts promising a true blue nerf experience (so an fps but foam flinging) this disaster is one of the buggiest, most horribly designed, and outright rage inducing shooters I’ve ever played. But we’ll get into that. If you’re looking for a tl;dr of the situation, there it is.

Absolute joy to play and 100% recommended! A fantastic game, literally mirrors edge gameplay in VR. Running, jumping, ziplines, climbing wall, wall run. It’s all here. Every level around 1 minute, maximum 2 minutes. You will sweat. None of that turn around or navigate this maze BS, just straight forward run and move to finish the obstacle course.

Tip - to jump do the run motion at your hips, for slide do the run motion at your shoulder height. These positions make it more accurate and easier to nail the jumps and slides!

This game is proof that you don’t need amazing photo-realistic graphics in VR to have immersion. This game is like the animus training ground in Assassins creed or Mirror’s Edge. Except you’re doing the parkour in VR. It is so much fun and a good workout. I’m just happy that it only requires the movement of my hands and not my feet. Well, I wouldn’t mind a head bobbing option in a future update (that makes you jog IRL).

Once you get past the first levels, the intensity and fun increases. At level two, you start having to climb obstacles and start hand grinding on the walls (skateboard style, defying gravity), you’ll feel like a workout super action hero. Consider this your Ultimate Ninja starting grounds.

It might need a little bit of tweaking (at the time of this review), but I HIGHLY recommend this game!

The rules -

Ship hits mine, you go to the lifeboats (not too early or too late) and survive!

I’ve already both killed and survived my player time and again (including jumping off the props!) LOL

Enjoy! :)

While to game is a little buggy at times and there is some minor details missing, I thoroughly enjoyed it. You really do get a real feeling of impending danger and suspense. I hope the developer keeps refining and adding to this game as there isn’t much out there on the “forgotten” Olympic class sister. Recommended…

Mira’s Brush

Mira’s Brush

Cute, colorful, and full of lighthearted humor. I had a little trouble getting a feel for the color-swapping mechanics, but other than that, I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played so far. Looking forward to seeing how the game develops as it gets close to full release.

Real player with 1.9 hrs in game

Mira’s Brush is a colorful take on the side-scrolling pixel-art platforming genre, a genre that defined early video games and has persisted through the years. The basic idea is that all the color has been stolen from Chromaland which is now greyscale and it is up to Mira and her brush to restore color. You can steal colors and paint and do a host of different shapes and colors to defeat or blend enemies. Sadly it is marred by clunky gameplay and tutorial and clunky menus.

The platforming aspect of the game is pretty icy and takes some frustrating moments getting used to. I found it difficult to jump high enough sometimes and it really takes more technique to get on to stuff but it is manageable, but it should be like 10% higher. The tutorial floating text is terribly placed and floats off screen and is difficult to see. Sometimes matching enemies to the background does not work.

Climber: Sky is the Limit

Climber: Sky is the Limit

Climber: Sky is the Limit is a game with a unique mixture of survival and simulation. As a player, you are a climber who takes on the most difficult and dangerous peaks on earth. To succeed you need to plan your journey carefully by preparing appropriate equipment, choosing a suitable trail, facing extreme weather conditions, and surviving. Conquer your limits, overcome your fear and reach the sky.

Reach the summit

Each expedition is different, and the journey to the top is a great challenge. Conquer your fear, face your limits and reach the summit. In order to do that: traverse dangerous trails using specialized equipment such as ice ax, lifelines, or carabiners.

Face numerous dangers

During the journey, you will face diverse obstacles like blizzards, chasms, vertical walls, steep traverses, icy slopes, and crevasses. The key to success is to plan your next steps wisely and use the appropriate equipment at the right time.

Plan your expedition

Before setting off, decide which trail is best to the top taking into account weather conditions and the weather windows. Sometimes it’s better to take a chance and choose a more difficult route, but thanks to this you will be able to reach the summit before a snowstorm.

Survival

The key to survival is to have appropriate tools when you need one. Each piece of equipment has its weight but also makes your next step harder. Ensure you have enough food to recover your strengths, or you have a warm jacket and sleeping bag to warm up after a full-day climb.

Good timing also plays a great role during the expedition. In the high mountains, where weather changes quickly and night falls very fast, plan ahead to set up camp in the right place that gives you a chance to recover before the next challenging day.

Key Features

  • Scale some of the world’s most famous peaks like Everest, K2, Broad Peak, and others.

  • Face a variety of environmental challenges from chasms, vertical walls, steep traverses, icy slopes, treacherous crevasses, and more.

  • Use specialized equipment to traverse dangerous trails and slopes like ice axes, carabiners, and lifelines.

  • Contend with and plan around harsh weather conditions like blizzards, extreme wind, and plummeting temperatures.

  • Keep up your health and strength by balancing stamina, morale, temperature, and hunger.

  • Plan every point of your journey, packing only the necessities, choosing your path (will you take the safer route or the risky one?), preparing for each day’s trek and weather conditions.

  • Vie for contracts from sponsors for a chance to buy extra equipment and fund future excursions, but be advised they may include incredible challenges.

  • An immersive experience that has been created to be as realistic as possible through consulting expert mountaineers.

I absolutely love racing in VR. Unfortunately, I really didn’t like this game. It’s not awful, but it’s just not very good at the moment. It’s still in Early Access so there’s time for it to improve. It is definitely a different racing experience. Basically, you’re racing on these space cylinders. And apparently gravity is strong but high speeds and certain angles can lead you to lose your grip on the “road” and spin out of control out in space.
