Well, this won’t be an easy game to review.
Let’s start with the basics:
-
By buying God Eater 2 Rage Burst (the second game in the series), you’ll get God Eater Ressurection (the first game revised and remastered) free. There’s no special edition, the two games are one.
-
This games genre is known as “Hunter”, made famous by Capcom’s title Monster Hunter. It resembles a common beat’em up/hack and slash, but there are a couple differences from regular titles. The most notable things about a Hunter game is:

GOD EATER 3
Well, having played for a bit now, I am pleased to say, being a fan of the other two God Eaters, this one has not disappointed. Mouse and Keyboard works perfectly for me, I’ve had no problems with either one. It has better graphics and runs perfectly.
My computer doesn’t meet all the minimum requirements, but I’ve had no problems with it running smooth on high graphic settings. My graphics card is only a GTX 745 and the minimum suggested one is GTX 760. So there is something for those who meet the requirements but have problems. Your computer is the issue, not the game.

After finishing the main storyline I believe it’s time to review this fantastic game.
This third entry adds a chunk of new stuff, such as:
-
Two weapon types: Biting Edges and Heavy Moons; the first one is basically a dual blade wielding style, which you can even combine to form a glaive and unleash a new set of combos, while the latter is a human sized chakram which can morph into a giant axe when charged or during some attacks;
-
Two new features called Engage and Acceleration Trigger: The first let’s you and your party members (be it AI or player controlled character) give yourselves some neat passive bonuses such as HP regen, faster movement or attack speed and so on, while the latter, while still gives you some passive bonuses, has a requirement (which differ for each Acceleration Trigger) that you must satisfy in order to have those buff granted (some example are to don’t get hit by an enemy for 20 seconds, do a ground combo for a total of 5 times, etcetera);

Toukiden: Kiwami
Ahh good ol' port ‘problems’.
Keyboard controls and keybinding
For those of you familliar with rebinding keys in the days of PPSSPP/PCSX2 and/or playing ports like DMC3SE on PC with just a keyboard, rest assured - you’ll feel right at home with this game.
For those unwilling to re-map their brains to memorize that left shift is L1 and spacebar is R1 and so on, for your own sanity, stay away. Stay FAR away from ANY game that was ported from a non-PC platform to PC. Also, stay away the ported game’s guides/walkthroughs/tutorials, because they’re all gonna probably be referencing the controller keys instead of the keyboard keys too.

I’ve played enough time to give it a fair review.
I’ve been wanting this game for months before its release on steam, and when it came out, I didn’t buy it immediately. I pretty much guessed it will be buggy and pricey. so I grabbed it 6 months later after patches were made. at 50% off.
Buy this game if:
+You like Japanese setting
+You like monster hunter
Do not buy this game if:
-You don’t have controller
-You only have low end PCs
-You don’t want 30fps-lock
-You expect an English voice over

Toukiden 2
TL;DR: Great gameplay and really cool gear and skill customization, but the game is bogged down by some glaring technical / interface issues. Get it on console if you can, as many of the issues are largely PC specific (practically unusable voicechat, no mouse support, not-great controller support, hackers, poor text chat.) Get it on PC only if the game is really appealing to you and you have no other way to play it. And if you’ve played Kiwami, you may want to skip this, because it’s $60 for what is basically a reskin of Kiwami with a few new weapons and abilities (and a bunch of Kiwami’s stuff actually taken AWAY, for that matter.)

Let’s get to the short answer to the question “should I buy Toukiden 2?”
If you’re a fan of monster hunter games then it’s a good match. If you’re just curious about it, you’d better think twice.
It’s almost impossible to describe this game without mentioning Monster Hunter, but you should not go in expecting a similar experience. Here are a bunch of bullet point considerations in no particular order:
-The game community is tiny and therefore the amount of data available is miniscule, even compared to God Eater. If you can’t make your way around Japanese websites, you’re going to have a hard time figuring out how gear and weapons work.

Sniper Hunter Adventure 3D
Full disclosure: I got this game on sale for .49 cents USD. And I actually enjoyed this one. I’ve played a lot of hunting games where you’re stuck in place, and they are usually a buggy nightmare. But here you can choose from a range of game. Each animal, including boar, rabbits, wolves and ducks, has a range of levels. You get money for completing a hunt and can buy upgrades, eventually.
I found the wolf hunts to be the easiest, but boar hunts at level two are good for earning cash. Is it perfect? No. You’re stuck in one spot and some of the shots reply on being speedy more than skilled. There are bugs of the animals zooming in for no reason at all. And if an animal is out of range, tough luck. It would be nice to see an untimed hunt and more affordable weapons upgrades.

Slow living with Princess
As a big fan of adventure and fantasy games. anime, and web/light novels, this game is totally my wet dream lol and no, I have neither read the novel nor watched the anime, and I haven’t finished the entire story YET ;) wink
With a bit of isekai vibe (I don’t even know why I get it from this game), you start your new life in game as a adventure and a drug dealer or a pharmacist as a kids friendly term. Though you can pretty much sell everything and anything in your apothecary, like sometimes your customers will come and rob you off the egg you’ve been saving to make eggs and bacon…

Huge fan of the manga and now the anime. Very fun RPG that is reminiscent of Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley. You gather herbs and other resources as well as fight monsters in dungeons in order to obtain supplies for crafting and potion making which you will need to sell in the character’s personal store.
For an early access game, there is a LOT of content. Took me 27 Hours to complete all available main quests and side quests. Was also able to complete a majority of the wishlists for the other characters with the exception of some items which are too rare to obtain. Also only missing 1 achievement, but I did not want to grind a few more hours when I essentially finished all the available storyline quests.

Touhou Mechanical Scrollery | 幻想討幻経
“Gorgeous 3D bullet hell action RPG that Touhou girls are flying!ヽ(=´▽'=)ノ”
[1] Intro
Touhou Mechanical Scrollery. This game is a Touhou Project fan game from developer Mikosansaho and publisher Phoenixx. It features the 3D bullet hell where flying Touhou girls hunt gigantic mecha spiders across gorgeous landscapes. Recently the game has been re-polished, this new update also fixes the mouse and keyboard support issues, and it keeps the frame stable. In other words, the time has come to take a look this game again!

Alright so normally I don’t review games, but I will drop one for this game. I got this game on launch and been playing it off and on since, due to a variety of reasons. On day one was there a lot of issues for a game that tried to delay to fix the issues? yes there was. However even then I got the issues fixed using a controller and just taking it out of fullscreen mode.
But here is my over all review either way. Is the game fun? Yes I feel it is very fun, with some similarities to other games I have played. It was my third game in the bullet hell-esque genre I have played, and I feel for a 3D Bullet hell, it game me what I wanted. Areas where verticality mattered versus some opponents, such as the Bat-Types and the Land Dragon types, and others where horizontal movement was more important, as seen with the Oni Type, the Sky dragon, and a few others.

Minotaur Maze
Oh no! The Minotaur got me… I’ll have to play until I find a proper shotgun!
– Real player with 0.7 hrs in game
I’d recommend this game, it’s a nice little dungeon runner game.
Your goal is to navigate through mazes to rescue the princess and then …
The controls are simple and effective, you can adjust your camera angle too if needed.
You go through seven different mazes while the Minotaur is hunting you too.
Each maze gets bigger and the Minotaur becomes faster.
The game fullfills what it has announced, it has nice music and audio and a pleasant looking artstyle.
And it’s free.
Overall, i think it’s a nice little game to spend time on, relatively short depending on your pace but the Minotaur might surprises you around a corner.

Incremental Epic Breakers
I liked Incremental Epic Heroes (IEH) by the same developer, so I gave it a try. I have to say that at first I didn’t like this one very much. It required a lot of active play, it was very slow to improve, and honestly just breaking blocks wasn’t very fun. I stuck with it though mostly out of loyalty to the developers.
It got a LOT better. First the developers put out an update that speeds the progress early on which was really needed. Secondly, the game modes get interesting later on. The missions are the first start, but it really gets fun with the challenges and as you really start to use the crafting system.
– Real player with 469.1 hrs in game
Not a fun game at all. Only playing this to get rewards on IEH
Multiple bugs and logical errors. Capture shot that costs 5k coins in store doesn’t do anything in challenge when placed, what a waste. If you buy quest rarity, the quests you get are practically impossible to complete by a normal human. You want me open 100 chests in 24 hours? Active play I don’t see more than 5 an hour. 10 mimics in a day? I think I’ve seen 10since I started playing 2 days ago. Too many flaws, don’t waste your time here even if it’s for IEH bonuses
