Horse Riding Deluxe 2

Horse Riding Deluxe 2

So far I really love this game, the graphics are pretty, I like that it’s open world and even if I haven’t gotten around to explore everything yet (still a bunch of HRD coins, dogs and wild horses missing) I already had a great time riding around! I love that you need to use the signs and the map to find your way around and to the villages.

What I also really like is that you can go swimming with your horse, I don’t think I ever played a horse game where you could do that before!

The races are challenging enough but not so challenging that you can’t win gold and they have somewhat varying degrees of difficulty which I like.

Another very interesting, enjoyable horse game!

I played the first Horse Riding Deluxe and really enjoyed it, so I was quite excited to see a second game and I wasn’t disappointed!

There are a lot of similarities between the first and second game, so I won’t go into as much detail in my review for this one as I did the first.

I’ve been looking for reasonable horse games for a long time and I’ve tried many of them. This game is one of the closest ones I’ve found to what I’ve been looking for.

Gameplay:

I wanted a game where I could ride a horse and just explore. Although the graphics are not very up to date it really did not matter because it was exactly what I was looking for. You get used to the horse controls after a while and as the horse levels up they get easier to handle. The wild horses around the world are hidden but easy enough to find when looking properly, although it would be nice to see more roaming animals there was wildlife around and it looked nice.

Likes:

Collecting all the horses both wild and from stables in the world.

A very interesting, enjoyable horse game!

I’ve played many horse games and am always on the lookout for new ones with different ideas. I’ve got to say this one really stands out to me, I’m very impressed. If you want a game where the horse and character animation and design are beautiful and perfect, then this is probably not the game for you. But if (like me) you want a horse game that includes unusual, interesting features (something a little different from the rest!) and an open world to explore freely, then you’d probably really enjoy this game. Let me go over some of the features:

pretty fun game for the price, controls are kinda boring and very similar in most events and the graphics are pretty bad. But there are a lot of events and still a decently fun game. Reminds me a bit of London 2012 although that game is a lot better

if this was called special olympics it would be overselling itself….thought it was for a moment because i thought i was gone deaf, turns out there is no sound at all in the game.

Work in progress but certainly has lots of potential. Great visuals and educational content, and its free so its definitely worth the try I say. Great if you want to support up and coming indie developers!

Visually appealing, with an immersive environment. Educational and fun for the little ones, and a great game to explore while relaxing.

Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition

Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition

Let me preface this by saying I recommend this to others in two separate categories: For people looking for horse games that aren’t aimed at 12 year old girls, endless clicking crappy browser games with horse “art” that is just the Coggins test horse colored in, or “an RPG that incidentally has horse stuff”, this is worth the price. For regular gamers, wait for a sale.

The graphics are better than most horse games out there, not RDR2 quality, but they’re realistic, the horse moves in a normal way (no odd gaits, no joints bending inappropriately). All the jockey options are rather unattractive, but then, I really don’t care what my jockey self looks like, and honestly it probably matches me well enough irl. I think that it would be nice if we could choose the color of each part of our silks, not just “here are some combinations we have approved, pick one”. I think that’s a bit short sighted, and hope they open that up eventually.

I wanted to wait until I’d played for a while before I reviewed, because I want to be fair since I love this game so much, and I feel like some people who came from mobile (like I did) are giving this game worse reviews than it deserves, but also people who never played the mobile version don’t understand our criticisms and why some of us are finding such a seemingly great game to be so lackluster. So now that I’ve played 20+ hours, I feel confident enough in my experience with this game to objectively as possible give some CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM FOR THE DEVS (so I really hope they read this review). I would list the many pros and cons to getting this game as well, but there aren’t enough characters for me to add them. Scroll to the bottom for a TL;DR.

I really enjoyed this one. I wish it had a sandbox type scenario without the time constraint.

Want to play more but don’t really want to repeat the main campaign.

Theme park meets jousting!

It’s a good little sim game. There’s more complexity to the it that I thought it would have when I bought it - but it’s actually been quite fun for the last couple of days I’ve been dipping in and out. Well worth a punt.

Pros

  • Good feel to it, familiar tycoon game mechanics, building, hiring staff and all that jazz.

  • It looks nice, good art style and cute characters.

  • Music is pretty good.

  • It’s got some nice humour - you can see little thought bubbles from time to time with funny stuff people are thinking & the story is humor driven

Adventure Farm VR

I think this is a possibility at fun… Unfortunately, there’s just too many game breaking bugs at this time. Just as an example, getting stuck in a wall, the game’s controls glitching to constantly show in multiples wherever you go (think your entire screen lighting up in blue curving teleport lines from every place you’ve walked in the last 30 seconds), and unfortunately for a friend of mine… Falling through the floor. We’ve tried to pick this up a few times, since purchased, but can’t get further than a few minutes in without something breaking. I hope the team continues to work on this and it isn’t forgotten or given up.

This game barely works. IF you get it for free, its still not worth it because it takes up hard drive space. DO NOT BUY.

Farming Simulator 22

Farming Simulator 22

Warning! Fanboy (and proud of it) review ahead.

This being the 5th version of Farming Simulator I have played; it’s pretty safe to say that I am a fan of it. There is no doubt. I will start by saying that this is literally the same game as FS19. As it is, FS17-15-13. A common complaint from some people for reasons that I do not understand. What makes our favorite games, our favorite game? If they turned it into a tractor demolision derby; would it be the same game we love now? While that does sound fun; it is not what we all originally bought the game for. We buy (and then rebuy) these games because there is something about them that we like. Why has the GTA Franchise been so wildly popular all of these years? For the reason I pointed out above. Standard Psychology aside…

(Summary at bottom)

NOT a reskinned FS19. I have about 650 hours on FS19 and I can most certainly say this is much better in many ways, and many things have been completely overhauled.

  • Sounds have had a major overhaul, makes the game feel more realistic and immersive.

  • More placeables than ever, including sheds with working doors, refuel stations (diesel, methane, and electric), seed & fert tanks, etc. Fences too, great addon, easy to use.

  • Many many new brands, and more tire brand options. Also license plates for equipment and vehicles.
