War of Rights

War of Rights

One of the most fun games I have ever played.

This game is one that I would definitely recommend. Some of the these reviews will say:

1. “The playerbase is dead”

It’s definitely true that this game’s servers aren’t as packed full of people as games such as Squad, but they are far from dead. The community is alive and well. There’s is always a server full of at least 40+ people at the dead hours, and during active hours the populated server reaches up to 200 people. There aren’t countless, full-pop servers all the time, but there’ll always be someone to play with. I have over 1,000 hours on this game, and I have NEVER had the problem of having a server with people to play in.

Talked my friend into getting this game. We were forced to fight on separate sides for balance. Found him on the battlefield and had no choice but to kill him with my bayonet. Now I get to live with the guilt of knowing I’ve slain my best friend in cold blood all because he wore a different uniform. 10/10 realism, no more brother wars

while it is very rough it has obvious potential the idea of being a soldier in a civil war battle is a interesting and entertaining the game right now is functional but has some problems. Like getting stuck in the aiming pose when your trying to get to the shoulder arms position or how a side will randomly stop spawning soldiers. But if they keep working on it it would be a entertaining game to play.

Absolutely fantastic game. Nothing beats the feeling of charging into battle with your brothers in arms while blasting jazz through the mic. 10/10.

Save One More:

One of the many honourable serviceman on the battlefield is the one with the role of the Medic. These individuals are exposing themselves to the same dangers and fears as any other soldiers in battle. Not only do they have to dodge bullets and upcoming bomb shells, just like any other warrior, but their primary job is to get to their wounded comrades as fast as possible, without thinking twice about their own life. They definitely have a super sense of hearing to be able to make out the call, “Medic,” between explosive shells and whistling bullets. What courage these men must have in such chaotic situations, motivated by the thought, “I must save one more.”

6/10

A nice twist on war gaming

Short good game. I quite like art style.

A few tweaks would make a huge difference:

Firstly:

cut scenes should be skipable.

secondly:

the game displays wounded/saves/dead if one soldier goes down 5 times and you save it 4 times before it dies score would be 5/4/1\. when your dealing with groups of 20 or 30 soldiers its very hard to tell how many units are currently down. Quite a few times I though I'd revived all wounded only to have the dead count surprise me by going up.

## Age of History II

Alright let me get this straight just because i have 700+ hours on this game doesnt mean that its the best. Obviously this game has some features and inequalities that i would like to tell people about. Now i wouldn't consider myself a professional jusut yet but it has some bugs that i think are either bugs or baad game design. I like to structure all of my reviews based off of Price to gameplay so here are the 10 things that i will review to give the game a simple 1/10 score.

Well for starters this game is very simplistic which i like in a game + 1

## Grand Tactician: The Civil War (1861-1865)

I like this game quite a lot. Honestly the Civil War games are exceptionally hard to create due to the complexity required for the multiple aspects involved. Prior to this there's been some solid battle based games but they follow a simplified path to victory or failure, there's no campaign.

Here there's both a battlefield and campaign strategy, you couldn't implement your tactical goals even on the very best games prior to which probably was Civil War Generals 2 back in the 90's.

The battlefield gets modified by simple modifiers like entrenchments and fortifications as well as fatigue and range of weapons, as prior to games. The kicker is they now can do days and nights of movements not seen in Sid Meiers and its newest remake.

Immersive with a decent naval model, unlike Forge of Freedom which falls flat in terms of Naval modelling. The game could use more detail in naval combat, especially riverine Naval/Land combat in restricted navigation areas like rivers and coastal areas. River Combat, coastal combat and ocean combat are all very different and require different mechanics. Naval actions need more detail, period, to match the detail in land action. For example, the presence of a fleet seems to have no effect on the ability of an opposing force to use nearby bridges and fords. Another would be using a circular zone of blockade (fine for ocean) for a riverine fleet. The zone in this cast should obviously be linear to match the shape of the river. A coastal blockade would be a rectangle matching the shape of the coast. All in all, much promise here.

## Total War: ATTILA

Attila is, in my opinion, the best Total War.

A lot of people complain about optimization issues, I'm not saying they're lying, but I don't have these issues so it's not impossible to run the game properly.

What Attila does GREAT is giving you very different campaign experiences: you can pick from massive empires under pressure, small tribes with one settlement, small hordes that have to flee from the Huns and try to conquer some land and settle down, or as a massive horde that will grow, loot and pillage.

Disclaimer:

Please note that this review, as with all reviews, is heavily influenced by personal opinion. I am in no way attacking you should you love the game, I just want to let others know the good AND the bad of this game before they purchase it. And if they like some of the things that I have listed in the bad? Then it's all good, at least they are informed.

tl;dr - Great launch, graphically pleasing, better AI response from units. Badly designed Horde mode, Limited choice of factions that all boil down to three types that generally look the same, jacked diplomacy system, all the illegitimate children of the world come from one of your general's loins, campaign AI are all led by the Joker. They just want to watch the world burn.

![Total War: THREE KINGDOMS](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/779340/header.jpg "")

## Total War: THREE KINGDOMS

I've been a fan of Total War games, but I've typically stayed away from ancient/classical warfare titles like Rome, Shogun and Medieval. I've gravitated more to the early-modern titles like Empire and Napoleon. So, by all logic, I should have avoided this one.

Why?

Well, despite this being yet another rendition of ancient warfare, it's set in a period of history that I am not very familiar with (the eponymous Three Kingdoms Era of Chinese history, and the fall of the Han dynasty). Based on the famous historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, TW3K allows you to take on the role of one of many warlords during this period and forge a new dynasty for China. This game was really my first true exposure to this period of history and all the fascinating characters that inhabited it. I suspect the story is much the same for any other Westerner playing this game. I can say definitively that playing this game made me want to research more about the Three Kingdoms period and its prominent actors (my personal favorites are the Sun family).

While I do agree with most people on how bad CA have schrewed up with cencoring mods, and partnering with NetEase, I will speak for the game and the game only.

It has potential.

It has Interest.

But it falls short… Quite short.

Firstly, Three Kingdoms do a lot of things right, if you can ignore the bugs. Let's go over that before we tackle the bad.

-The foodsystem, while I would have liked it to be more advanced, is a nice toutch.

-Diplomacy has a new coat of paint and seems to be a bit more smooth and easy to understand. With personalities to each faction leader, making them unique and interesting to negotiate with.

## Ultimate General: Civil War

Summary: Game consists of charging artillery batteries in a frantic rush to beat a timer, and in the next battle charging those same magically reanimated artillery batteries.

+Maps look nice

+It's a decent dicking around game if you can overlook/tolerate the flaws, and it's better than it's predecessor so hopefully the successor to this one will be worth buying

+Can /slightly/ customize units and modify your army (for the most part, purely useless shit like swapping out commanders who all give the same perks, and renaming brigades, but not your divisions or corps because reasons)

Having played this game in detail, I have give an honest opinion. First off, good game over all. For me it was highly addictive and gave me a great sense of nostalgia playing Sid Meier's: Gettysburg and Antietam and General Lee: Civil War 1 and 2\. This game seems to be a hybrid of the two, the real time movement and engagement of troops on the battlefield of the former coupled with the stats and economics of the latter. In fact, some of the weapons mentioned in this game, the Farmers and re-bored Farmers muskets (perhaps 1812 Springfields before and after conversion from flintlocks) brought me back to my General Lee: Civil War days.

![Strategy & Tactics: Wargame Collection](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/338130/header.jpg "")

## Strategy & Tactics: Wargame Collection

To start off I wanna say this isn't a game of high quality. In fact, I found one of the games in this collection as a mobile game for my phone first (the WW2 Sandbox one) and it was pretty fun, but had all the ads and in-app-purchases that you see with mobile games. I definitely suggest that as a mobile game because it was free and pretty in-depth compared to most strategy games on mobile. On computer, meh. It was incredibly cheap, and even cheaper on sale, which was the main reason I bothered getting it. The deal was pretty good, because this is a 3-pack of games. They all play basically the same, so once you learn one, you learn all of them. As far as strategy games go, it's simple compared to other games like it, and the mechanics become second nature within half an hour to an hour. The tutorials are pretty trashy, and don't cover anything more complicated than basic movement and attacking, which means it's up to you to really explore how combat and movement work. The AI is actually pretty good, but can be predicted and outsmarted with some practice. So why am I recommending this? This may not be a great game, but it's cheap and simple. If you're new to strategy games, or just enjoy casually playing them and don't like diving heavily into grand-strategy games, this is a good choice for you. There's also a mobile version, which I suggest for anyone. If you really like the complicated and in-depth mechanics that you find in games like Hearts of Iron and Victoria 2, though, stay away from this game on PC. There's quite a bit of content, but you'll get bored pretty fast, and personally I would take Hearts of Iron IV any day over these 3 games.

Ok, here's my take on the game. I'm used to playing Axis and Allies, both the Milton Bradley board games as well as the old Nova Games, which was the best…I also play the triplea version, which is excellent. This game is much more in line with the Milton Bradley games. A relatively simple game, simple mechanics. That being said, there are some very nice features that I enjoy. You can plot out moves in a step by step fashion. Moving infantry to take the first territory, then "relocating" mech units into the newly taken territory, and then launching an attack with them into the next. You are not required to to plan out every move for all your troops, they can be executed one at a time. This is definately a "beer and pretzels" kind of game.
