Napoleon Maiden
**Change your destiny. Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools.
Shoichi Sakikawa was a normal, second-year high school student.
Or, he was, until he woke up from a car accident only to find
himself trapped in mid-revolution 19th century France.
What saved him from an onslaught of bullets was a girl armed with a sword.
“I am Napoleon Bonaparte. And one day I shall be ruler of all France.”
Having been saved by this “Napoleon” in the form of a girl,
Shoichi ends up accompanying her on her quest.
But in this world, not only is the past distorted,
but the gods grant chosen girls the gift of greatness,
who in turn fight one another using superhuman abilities known as “Tenkei.”
Will Shoichi be able to return to his own world?
And what will become of his growing bond with Napoleon?**

Physics based simulation style sword fighting game taking place in 17th century Poland. Think of a cross between… Bushido Blade, Exanima, & Die by the Sword. Created by one of the main animators for Witcher 3. Really amazing to see an animator translate their ideas about animation into gameplay. I’m sure a lot of animators get frustrated by game design limitations.
This would be a really fun party game if you have a couple controllers! It’s easy to learn, very difficult to master, but it’s very fun and feels authentic through and through.

Museum of War is a resounding achievement in world building, environment, and engaging gameplay with occasional problems throughout.
Its incredible recreation of ancient Greece is something I’ll want to go back to long after I’ve finished its main story, and its excellent systems mesh together in a way that’s hard to beat. While there are definite rough edges, Museum of War sets a new bar for slasher games and holds its own in the eternal debate over the best hack and slash games ever.
When I look back on all the fun I’ve had, all the complaints feel minor. Museum of War is beautiful, and it effortlessly ties action, stealth and hand to hand combat together into one cohesive game that, even after 0.2 hours, I want to keep playing.

Gladia
This is not intermediate stage. This is concept stage. This is EXTREMELY overpriced. Feedback at this point is absurd as literally everything needs a ton of work.

Katana Kata
Kata Katana is what you’d expect as a rogue-like. It is very much an early access game but if you look past its shabbiness it’s very engaging what at first seems like an archaic simplistic game becomes much more than that. The controls while somewhat clunky at times are simple yet hard to master. The sense of progression here is great in the beginning you are a frail novice flailing your Weapon about but once you get that timing down and start getting the grips with the game it feels elating. There are a few different weapon types and a nice variety in enemies. I don’t wish to spoil the game for those that care but just know that so far it has been fun. I for one look forward to what comes next.

Fun little game! works well using xbox controller. Never tried Mouse n keyboard. Was happy to see it displays in 3440-1440 @120Hz.
This game brings me back to my summer of 1985, my Mom brought home an Apple PC from the school district, for the summer only, and I fell in love with Karateka. Love the simple art form and the genre!
Edit: 7 hours later, and I still haven’t passed the Garden level, and I only beat my nightmare 2/10 times. Apparently, I am horrible at this. I always start at bath house, and am still enjoying my failures

Time Commando
Wow.
I was only 7 the last time I had ever touched this game, that was all the way back in 2009. I got frustrated with Time Commando because of how difficult it was, never being able to finish the game after already halfway through it and eventually gave up. I ended up losing the disc somehow and when I did decide to give it another try I never found it again nor could I find another copy anywhere else, so I gave up looking and eventually forgot the game even existed.
Then LO AND BEHOLD, 12 years later and I stumble across this game again on Steam. Words cannot express how absolutely THRILLED I was to be able to play Time Commando again!

i own it on CDROM now I own it on SteamROM
if u want the DOSBox to be in windowed mode with higher resolution, you have to go to the steam folder you installed it, like “X:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Time Commando”, find “TC.conf” and change the window resolution to something like “windowresolution=1280x960” then either “fullscreen=false” or just Alt+Enter when it opens

Swords and Sandals Spartacus
This is a massive leap from the normal Swords and Sandals franchise .. Fast paced, non stop action.. It’s a massive nod to the good old days and while it utilises a lot of new effects we didn’t have back then, its doesn’t go overboard to dazzle you with lights to keep you distracted from poor gameplay like some games tend to do these days. Instead.. you are right in the thick of it.
Spartacus is like Prince of Persia had threesome with Rastan and Ghosts and goblins… it’s just Win all round. Amazing work put into it.. only 2 hours in and I haven’t event gotten that far so I can see a lot of playability in this already

This game is fantastic…. I have always been a fan of the Swords and Sandals franchise, owning multiple copies of each game over multiple platforms. That’s why I decided to become a Patreon to Whiskeybarrel Studios, receiving this game as a gift in return. I would happily have paid the full price for it regardless.
If sword and sandals were more similar to something like Prince of Persia, then this would be the spinoff game you’d get. It has a very retro feel to it. It’s more high paced than the other games, but definitely still has the same charm.
