Snowmania

Snowmania

I actually find this game very relaxing, the scenery of the stary night sky surrounded by buildings and snow is nice. I also love the easter egg of where you go into an ice blockhouse and find a note saying to stay away from the evil snowman and how the people before you came weren’t gonna make it. I haven’t completed all the minigames in under 10 minutes to unlock the secret hidden in the rocket ship after you unlock all the keys but I will for sure do it. I got this game on sale and gotta say 5/5

White Day VR: The Courage Test

A prety cool and short little horror game. The movement control is terrible but other than that its ok but dont bother collecting every item bc the leaderboard is broken and dont even register youre score if you managed to find all the items…..just go for the normal and the bad ending.

Fade Out

I played more or less 2 hours, i enjoyed the first 5 rooms, the ambient sounds are great, the graphic is cool but in a specific objects like a telephone buttons and clock it’s hard interacting properly with them.

Fade Out is atmospheric VR room escape game with a twist. Every time you do something right the room changes in some way and it makes the game feel fresh and exciting. The rooms are pretty different from one another and there are clever puzzles in each of them. Puzzles are not too hard but I did spend quite a long time in the first room.

Pros:

  • Creepy atmosphere with matching soundscape

  • Hard enough puzzles to be entertaining but not too hard to make you stop playing

  • If you like room escape games, then this one is for you!

This game allows you to dive into fairytale world that really reminds of Little Prince! Stunning experience with a lot of clever and fun puzzles. I also loved artstyle which is both beautiful and orginal. Overall great and very unique thing to play!

Rodent People: Origins

Rodent People: Origins

Rodent People are rats with human level brain power and a body enhanced with bionic parts, who somehow found themselves locked up in a prison.

At the first glance, life inside the cell is not too bad. Rats occupy themselves by working and earning money, which they can later spend on food, water and other commodities. However, despite their perfect, stress-free living conditions, Rodent People can no longer bear their boring routine and decide to break out of the prison cell and find out the mystery behind why they were incarcerated in the first place.

Virtual Amusement

Virtual Amusement

‘Virtual Amusement is a weird one indeed. This puzzle room/puzzle world style game sees you solving puzzles (obviously) as well as a few other activities. But there is no hand-holding here, no tips, no instructions. You just have to figure it all out on your own. But oddly it kind of works! You get a small sense of exploring the little theme park and all the corresponding rooms. Sure, the graphics are as basic as they come, but they were good enough to smile about. But for me, the lack of any sort of tutorial meant I was left feeling frustrated most of the time and not really knowing what I am doing nor where I was going. Add to that the load game option doesn’t seem to be working, so I had to start again when the game crashed. I really do think there is a lot of potential here, but I simply didn’t have the patience for it and the price is way too high. But I still give it a very cautious thumbs up because I would like to see this get a little more spit and polish. Just be aware that this game is as raw as they come.

!“Time Lock VR-1”!

!“Time Lock VR-1”!

This game has a description that actually sounds interesting but the reality is different.

I played this on Oculus Rift which was rather painful, literally.

This is an escape room type game which consists of finding an object and bringing it to where depicted. There aren’t actual puzzles or anything like that. Just ransack the place and find it. The good thing about the game is the use of time travel. Some objects can be accessed only from a different time period.

After certain time travel you end up in TimeLock where again you need to find an object and bring it somewhere. Also some enemies will spawn there and you can/have to shoot them down with a longbow.

I think it’s a great Escape Room with good content. I’ve spent hours trying to solve some puzzles. What I didn’t know was some Puzzles had been broke or not working. That prevented me from moving along in the game. BUT, I hung in there and once the Hidden Locker Door was fixed + the Hints Station working. I had a much better time with the game and felt good solving them one by one. Even went back to try some fails to see what would happen, I enjoyed that as well!

DMN7

DMN7

I have a bit of a problem when it comes to doing this review of ‘DMN7’ On the one side the cell-shaded graphics are nice and the storyline ticks along nicely. Besides, the £7.19 asking price isn’t all that bad given that I did find myself enjoying that game. …well…I did at first anyway. The idea of the game is you sneak about a sewer looking for 8 leavers to pull. All the while the evil robot is hunting you down and once it sees you, you are dead because this thing moves fast. The problem is if it does see you it is game over and you start again. And again and again and again…over and over until you get bored and quit. I have no idea how long this game is because I got bored of the robot always catching me. I do feel there is some great potential here, but the gameplay never really changes, but the level layout does.
