100 hidden frogs

100 hidden frogs

A meticulously hand-drawn, hidden object, naturesque PnC game. And for free. Well, what am I doing here to tell you that? You go play it yourself, I mean it’s got achievements for all my achievmaniacs out there (I saw a friend get 100+ achievements so I was like on the bandwagon then on), it’s got a nice soothing soundtrack built-in, it LOOKS GOOD, and finally, those achievements are really easy to get, just click the frogs man.

But, if you’re like me and you can’t find the last damn frog for some reason because of the green, white, and black colours blinding your vision, look no further and use this guide some awesome dude made:

WELP this is a quick game about 30 minutes give or take

the game premise is find 100 hidden frogs… thats it… kinda like find waldo or i spy…. honestly its not bad for a quick easy game but thats all i have to say about it so meh.

as a gamer: its casual gaming at its best just go in and look around i got to the last 10 before i needed a guide to find them

as a achievement hunter… its kinda funny because you go through and click one and get achievement click another get more achievements… so yeah all 100 achievements are one per frog so its easy

Lost Lands: A Hidden Object Adventure

Lost Lands: A Hidden Object Adventure

Sadly, I cannot journey further in this game.

This is a good free-to-play HOG with only one big problem - I started this game because I was being told by a friend that 100% achievement was possible - but after the October 2018 update, there were 2 broken achievements!

I will change the review to be positive once the game is fixed.

In case I do not follow up, please check this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/392950/discussions/0/2727382174634016779/

Apart from the broken achievements, I would say this game is one of the better few free HOG games in Steam.

Lost Lands: A Hidden Object Adventure is based on the universe of Lost Lands, a hidden object adventure series set in another dimension or I suppose so because the games are done by the same people, with the same title. However, here, you take in your hands the destiny of the Elven Nation, crashed on a lost island, rebuilding their civilization and ready to set sail elsewhere if only a magical storm wasn’t preventing them to do so.

This is the first free-to-play released by Five-BN. The second one, Lost Lands: Mahjong, shares the same story, the same quests and the same mechanics. It means that apart the core gameplay (hidden objects - mahjong), nothing changed when the second was released. I’ve played Mahjong first because I love the solitaire version of this game and A Hidden Object Adventure came after. It also means that the majority of this review will be identical to the one I did for Mahjong.

The Panic Room. House of secrets

The Panic Room. House of secrets

I love this game. It is very interesting and there are new events constantly to keep things fresh and new. The storyline is interesting, most of the characters are engaging and I love the fact that you can interact with your friends who play by way of gifts and groups for various tasks. This is one of two games I have played since I started on Steam and I just don’t see giving them up.

That being said, there are a few drawbacks as well. First, while the game is free to play, AND, contrary to what a few will say, you can play and do everything anyone else can do, however, the developers constantly put pop-ups in game trying to sell you stuff. I am even okay with that, they made a good product, they deserve compensation for it, my objection is to the frequency and the way they go about it. You will get a pop-up that advertises items to help you with the game (health potions, luck charms etc…) for a certain price, if you don’t purchase, frequently, another character in the game will pop up and “encourage” you to purchase to help win your freedom. I just think it is a little much. I have spent money on the game, like I said, I love playing, I just prefer not to be manipulated into it. That leads into my 2nd objection; the developers mostly ignore the Steam platform game. Panic Room is also on Facebook, the developers are very active, constantly posting news, apologies and explanations for glitches, etc. Here, we get nothing. Never an explanation and they very rarely respond to anything in the Panic Room group. I feel that if you are going to ask for money, you should be responsive to your players. At Christmas, the game was down for a couple weeks. There was never any explanation and most of us were unable to finish a large event because they didn’t extend the time. A few words would make a difference.

As I cdnt reply to Monique’s recent Review, I thought I wd post this to support her views.

I agree totally with everything she has said, so have a read of hers too.

This is a well stuctured and creative game. As a writer, I find the storyline interesting, considering its a Hidden Object Game. It also creates a unique environment with the interactive components among other players, while still being a solo game.

If u choose this u may have a moral dilema with activating “Bad Karma” function.

Most of us did, lol.

Family Hidden Secret - Hidden Objects Puzzle Adventure

Family Hidden Secret - Hidden Objects Puzzle Adventure

Suppose to be a free game, Not so, I’ve been playing F.H.S and 3 weeks ago it stop allowing me to advance to the next level unless I pay up. Seems to me it’s a ploy to get you involved in the game, then they ask you to pay real money to go to next level. It’s either free or it’s not. Saying its free then asking for money to keep using the game is false advertising.

Like the hidden objects aspect, the fighting creatures and variety of puzzles. Like being able to find coins and ‘energy’ in the streets between puzzles and love the variety of locations and underlying story. Dislike the fact that running out of ‘energy’ prevents you from doing any further puzzles and you either wait to gain more or you buy more. There doesn’t seem to be an option to buy the game outright. Absolutely hate the mine game as certain puzzles are almost impossible without power ups and even with them I’ve burned through multiple power ups to finish a puzzle. The one requiring 5 gears and 5 treasure to drop off the bottom of the screen doesn’t load the gears & treasures fast enough so even with power ups it runs you out of coins and energy. If you retry the mine it switches puzzles so you can move forward with different ones, but that burns up more energy because you’re restarting the level and have to ‘pay’ to play again. Aside from the 2 glaring weaknesses, this is a very good game.

The Pilgrim

The Pilgrim

A very cool, short, find the object puzzle game. Love the graphics and the mood music. The only complaint I have is that occasionally the camera angle makes it difficult to see what I need to see. Otherwise, this game is fun and somewhat challenging. I’d love to play a longer version of this. Works on Linux with Steam Play / Proton. Yay!

It looks nice but there’s nothing really to it. Though the fixed camera positions made it more difficult than it needed to be, this was enjoyable as a student work demonstration. Playing it on Steam is like stopping off for ten minutes in a busy final year exhibition.

Panic Room 2: Hide and Seek

Panic Room 2: Hide and Seek

As a sequel to the origonal Panic room it stacks up well. Most of the rooms have had overhauls and there are new items to find, though there is still some problem with ‘okay, what does that word mean in this context?’ Its also facinating to see it from a diffrent perspective if you haven’t run through all the plot in the Panic Room, because it’s taking place afterwards.

That being said, I don’t think you’d needto play Panic Room to enjoy Panic Room2. Things are mysterious, but explained enough you can enjoy the plot on it’s own merits.

I think I am writing this after everything was fixed - because I’m not running into any of the problems others have…

I am playing Panic Room 1 at the same time. There are a few little spoilers I have run into so far, since this game takes place 10-20 years into the future (can’t remember how long exactly), and I’m almost on season 2 of the Panic Room 1 game - but those spoilers I had already figured out early on in PR1 so I didn’t mind.

Things I really like about this game -

  • The rooms still closed off to me in Panic Room 1 are some of the first to open in Panic Room 2. Namely, the Film Theatre, the Winter Garden and the Study (so far), so I feel like I’m getting to play most of the mansion. And those that are open in both games look different enough - with different furnishings, time of day/night seen through window, etc, - that it feels a bit like playing two different rooms, so doesn’t feel too similar.

Time Gap

Time Gap

I’m currently playing Time Gap and for the most part I’m really enjoying it, however there just one small problem. I was relatively stupid and decided to buy something from the game.

Get 100 Energy forever and chest of hints - $5.03 USD

Now looking at this I reasoned that it meant that I would always have 100 energy to play with, so I bought it. It seems I was wrong, it’s actually an expansion of your energy bar. So I wrote to Absolutist requesting a refund since what I got definitely wasn’t what I thought I was buying. They in turn referred me to Steam. Steam said that refunds for this extra content aren’t available, so just be careful if you decide to buy something from this game

I usually do not like to write a review before finishing the game / half way through the game - unless it is very good, or in this case, very bad.

This game is NOT for the slow or for the elderly. The time trial mode (finding hidden object within an even shorter amount of time) is so punishing. You only have 1 minute to figure out everything. The normal HOS is roughly 2.5 mins to search for at least 10 items. Pay to get more time!

If you clicked wrongly too many times, there will be penalty! Your timer will be reduced by 5 secs. This is normal in Hidden Object games, but not when the timer is already UNFAIRLY short!

Twilight Town

Twilight Town

Recommended only for people like me, who have fun with it, and lots of fun, despite all the faults. And don’t forget, it’s free. :)

At the core, it’s the typical ftp HO game; you repeatedly do various different locations with items hidden in variable places in the location. But there’s a lot more here.

The good:

No frustration by having to waste weapons on monsters in hope that next monster that might appear is the one you actually want/need to beat.

No frustration by having to repeatedly going into the same place again and again and again and still fail to get what you actually need.

Real player with 551.2 hrs in game

Tons of fun. A little frustrating at the beginning, But once you get enough gold/gems in the bank it’s pretty cool!

The HOG’s may hiccup from time to time, with an item from the list not appearing at all in the scene, so you have to play the scene all over again. But it’s a minor flaw at best, You’ll recoup your games losses pretty quick

…. I think my favorite part is the fortune teller’s games. A very small part of the game but FUN none the less.

If I have Enough gems I could play it over & over again.

Twisted Worlds

Twisted Worlds

Twisted worlds is a fantastic game I have enjoyed to play over the years. The only thing I don’t like is when I lose all of my progress and have to regain all of my high scores to get any further with it.(Mostly happens when I have to buy a new computer) Doesn’t occur with my other free games I have though.

With that being said I enjoy the feature of the way this game works. The hours clocked on here are from past games I played.

I enjoy a challenge and this game provides that and so much more, with each level passed you gain even more experience to power you into beating high scores of other opponents. Love the normal and fantasy based scenes. You can make energy by collecting food items and also play mini games to boost your level.

Real player with 224.5 hrs in game

Warning: two of the achievements do not work so you can’t complete all achievements on the game.

It’s a free game with an energy bar and the chance to spend money if you want to do things quicker. It is a hidden object game but instead of looking for objects, you look for hidden numbers or symbols. Some of the locations are really hard - especially the train station, the valley and the fire place but there are hints to help. If you played other absolutist games then this one will be familiar to you. I enjoyed some of it and some of it can be grinding but that’s par for the course with these games. It’s free but again two of the achievements are broken so….

Wanderland

Wanderland

I have played 25.6 hours so far, and into level 12. I am never really a fan of games that need energy bar to refill as I have no patience to wait for it to reload. Spending money to purchase these reloads…ain’t really me as well.

I agree to Krikket’s review for this game about items dropping for collection - it is so hard to get a specific set/collection! And if you are to fight those ogres, turgs, and other creatures, you will (highly likely) need to open the gold chest to be rewarded with the specific item you require for the collection. And yes - gold chest means you will need rubies. And rubies are like secondary game currency after gold coins.

Note : I opted in to be part of Beta testing, not to write a review. This review in my choice, just want to make that very clear here.

Wanderland is a Free to Play Hidden Object Game mixed with story, adventure & Puzzles to solve, and enemys to defeat, but its mostly about Hidden Objects that are quite fun to find. Also be aware the game has in game purchasing which I’m am against, as they can make you feel preasured to spend real money. But honestly if your sensible and very wise with what resourses you have with in the game, you can get through the game BUT at a much slower pace. I did spend real money to get me started as I wanted to catch up to others in the beta. BUT honestly you dont have to if you cant. Game says “Free To Play” and thats exaclly what it is, you have the choice so dont let the game preasure you, take the game slowly plenty time to enjoy ok P.S I was more than happy to support the developers as part of my christmas gift from my family so christmas came a little early for me :)
