Kingdoms Of Marazia: Classic

Kingdoms Of Marazia: Classic

This game is a lot like ironfell, with hex based combat and building in one open world. Right now, there’s not too much to the game, but the develepor is active, communicates with the community, and puts out a lot of updates. If you liked Ironfell at all you should buy this game and try it out for yourself.

Worth checking out for sure, as I have yet to find anything quite like it.

The game features a persistant world where players battle it out for resources and eventual victory over the course of days/weeks. It uses basic rts elements and expands upon the strategy through time, space, and player interaction.

It is also being constantly updated, and upgraded and there is a good chance if you think a feature is missing it will be added soon.

Highly recommend checking it out for some slower paced and social rts gaming, similar to a more drawn out risk experience in a lot of ways. If you decide to give it a try, join the discord and start plotting your rise to power.

Played this game 70 out of the 80 so hours I have. Not a bad game it’s a bit like eve but without all the years needed and flying mostly around empty space, just battles with that immersive RP feel and global map objectives. Huge emphasis on Team-work and high value ship kills are a very satisfying experience. I’m a pretty big fan of High-risk high reward games, the strategy is a bonus. It’s pretty much the owners passion project he is open to engaging with the community and takes community feedback very seriously. I don’t think he is really looking for any kind of huge profit there is no p2w elements at all.

This game has potential, but likely will never be realized. There’s no more than 15-20 players online at any one time which means even fewer for your faction.

The combat is horrifically slow. Each player gets a 1:30 to make a full turn, which leads to fights with humans taking literally hours.

The game is terribly balanced as well. There’s simply no rock, paper, scissors type counter to some of the ships at certain levels. Even without officer points, It doesn’t matter how well you play your ship even when equal tier and no officer points. There’s no tier balance.

Disclaimer: I am one of the mods for the Faeria steam forums, a mod for the Faeria discord server and also one of the Vanguard testers. However, I do all these things voluntarily, there is no payment of any description except for me kickstarting the game.

Time to update this review. If you want to view my old review, scroll down.

Well, it’s been some time, and to be honest, a lot of what I said in my old review still stands. The game is still easy to learn but very deep and hard to master, there’s still a card called Yak Attack (with the most amazing art) and the devs are still great with using feedback to upgrade their game.

Introduction

After my journey with Hearthstone (which i’ve gotten to legend and several 12 wins in arena) and Shadowverse (hit “master” which was the preveiously highest rank), I came to faeria as i was wandering on steam, and I immediately invested myself into the game as I realized the game is actaully more skill-driven or say has more potential for players to display their skill than the other OCG i played. Through thorough tactics and planning, each moves (position of creatures, location of lands, land type etc) can matter the game, and in certain matches if you make one single mistake, it can literally cost you the game.

I’m a PVE type player. I don’t enjoy playing against other players, because almost always there is someone better than me just around the corner. And I’d rather enjoy fighting the environment.

I’m 49 hours into this game, still happily grinding away. For those that played the Heroes of Might and Magic games, the base building games, this is close to it. Except more detailed in the army management/equiping. The graphics are rather basic, but I can see that being fixed easily as they go.

For the current $5 cost of the game, it’s well worth it. And as the special currency is currently set, that’s not an issue, though I understand that will change.

Trickery&Strategy

Trickery&Strategy

In the game, players play the role of a vassal king who just succeeded to the throne in the spring and Autumn period.

Fully open the world, you can experience the life of princes and kings in it!

Main play method:

《1》 : internal affairs.

Players need to gather talents and build their own cabinet team at the beginning.

The official system in the game is completely consistent with the history books. It consists of taizai, Zongbo, Sikou, Sikong, situ and Sima. As Liuqing, he interacts with players and governs the country!

Dogs of War Online

Dogs of War Online

Dogs of War Online is a fast paced turn based strategy game heavily influenced by the table top game Confrontation. It puts the player in the role of a mercenary leader, who can have multiple bands of mercenaries at his command. The game is currently in beta and at this stage offers little in the way of single player. There are 3 tutorial missions and training versus bots but then it is into the lobbies to test your skills and mercenaries against other players.

I have never played the table-top game but have spent many hours playing similar games. The mechanics or ‘rules’ of this game are very solid and make for a more realistic and exciting game than any other I have played on computer, the kitchen table or elsewhere.

EDIT May 30/2015: Unfortunately, it seems the population has bottomed out, and the developers have abandoned the game.

Very strategy-rich game, has lots of potential. Units have their own skill/spell tree, different combat interactions like parrying counterattacks dodging riposte, many atrributes and active or passive effects you have to all take into account throughout battle. Lots more classes/units planned as far as I saw on their wiki. Recommend to turn-based/strategy fans. It is not pay-to-win, since you get matched based on your army level - have a stronger army, then you face stronger armies. Don’t have many criticisms, its already pretty complex and its only in closed beta stage.

the most unfair game of all times…

actually I like this kind of game concept, and it (could have been) isn’t a successful one.

However;

i. there is no info about the game. there are lots of hidden bonuses, which is not possible to find out. maybe by spending hunderds (!) of hours and figuring it out is possible.

ii. there are a few too much powerful characters (ex: Cook, swordsman) most of the time you face these characters. Or you pay huge amount of money (I mean thousands of money to get a full stack) and buy much more powerful character. and happily there are not many people doing it. So everyone plays with these two characters. So after a while it is frustrating(!)

Hi, i liked this one at the beginning.. but there are no challenges or progress after lvl 20.. You have to pay money or to grind everyday to be able to buy monster. The price for the Monster is increasing at the beginning it is only like 200 gold per Monster per day at lvl 1 and it is like 1200 gold per Monster if you reach lvl 20. You can do a little more money at lvl 20 than at lvl 1 of course but it is certainly not 600% more, its only like 50% more… The game hooks you up at the beginning saying:“hey it’s easy and fun” and after 200 hours of playing it says: “give me your money or you will stand still for a long long time”

World Order

World Order

World Order is a brand new real-time strategy game where you will plunge into a conflict between 3 space powers for control of a strategic space sector, which will lead to world domination. In terms of gameplay, World Order is different from all existing RTSs. The system of modular units is the main feature of the game and you are not limited in your style of play, since you make your entire army for yourself, and not with ready-made units.
