Riskers

Riskers

It does a great job of mixing modern top down action with the beloved GTA athstetic. I got it for 3$CND and it was completely worth the purchase. The ‘levels’ where you assault building interiors are well designed and enjoyable to fight through, the shooting mechanic feels great and is much tighter than the original GTA, london missions or GTA 2.

On the down side the driving/car systems feel a bit stripped down, including the cops and the city itself. While the game has side missions and a city to drive around in with a few things to find overall the game feels more linear than it’s inspiration and the map is lacking unique set peices and details (no jumpable bridges, trains, car vendors on the docks ect.) It’s not really fair to compare this to a game as influectial as GTA but they kind of force us to and sadly in every way but the gunplay it’s missing so many of the tiny nuances & details that made GTA a classic so keep that in mind if you are fans of the original games scope, you won’t find the same living city or sandbox options in this game.

Rogue Heist

Rogue Heist

Hey! This is Mike you may have seen me streamed Rogue Heist on the Steam Page.

Well after streaming it for three days i figure’d i’d leave a review with my honest opinion of the game. This is a fair review. I well be explaining the Heist Mode which is the main advertised mode on Rogue Heist

Heist mode is a unique mode that hasn’t been introduced in the gaming genre yet, similar to Capture the flag but with a much more strategic stance on it, Having a sniper as your leader whom can use proper call out’s to alert your allies of incoming enemies this is a mode we’ve all been waiting for in the competitive scene something that just makes sense an executes correctly.

Open Mod

Open Mod

Open Mod is a free-to-play, tactical first person shooter that, for the time being, revolves around the bank robbery game mode. Being a team of two, we focused our attention on the game mechanics and customizability, having as a main goal providing our players the opportunity to personalize their experience on as many levels as possible.

The gameplay consists of, as expected, a bank robbery, where one team must rob the bank and escape with the money through certain routes, while the military must eliminate them before they do so.

OUTDATED

You see the trailers? Well what you see isn’t quite what you get (besides maybe a few things like the stutter before the guard gets hit by the wrench in the second trailer). Alright that might be a little too harsh, but I feel like I ended up unintentionally being lead to believe many things by the trailers, like the AI wouldn’t be as rough and somewhat brainless as it is right now.

I’m not even sure if some of the things shown in the trailer are in the game yet, like the explosive detonator and what looks to be bullet time, but judging by the lack of their presence in the tutorial, I don’t think they are. A screenshot also shows the character holding his hand over a guard’s mouth who looks to still be alive but I don’t think that’s in the game, duel wielding pistols show in a screenshot but I don’t think that’s in the game (unless maybe you can grab weapons off of bodies and if not, that should be a thing), and the GIF in the “about this game” section on the Steam page has a part where they look to be holding a weapon with 2 hands, which I don’t think is possible either (really needs to be added because it makes aiming feel uncomfortable or at least for me personally Edit: It is a thing for the AR, just the area where you grab the ammo extends way past where it should be).

Honestly this game is very fun. Their road map justifies most of the issues being stated in the reviews. I love a stealth game just as much as anyone else but I want to see this game in it’s final form! This is an early access title and I’m sure the devs are working hard to please as many people with their product.

Pros :

Very easy controls

Fun stealth gameplay

Old Splinter Cell / Metal Gear Vibes

Immersion

Cons :

Constant music in heist

Buggy and forced options command (have to point and touch your watch in game)

RAID: World War II

RAID: World War II

IN A WORD: MAYBE

IN SHORT:

WHAT TO EXPECT: Payday meets World War 2. Solo and coop stealth or combat gameplay. Objective oriented maps. Immersive WW2 atmosphere. Authetic looking setting and locations. Steam inventory mission cards. Good range of maps, weapons and playable characters. Good character customization. Very good writing and voiceovers. Minor base and cosmetic upgrades. Average AI. Fairly balanced gameplay. More enemy types would have been nice. An almost dead community. Long endgame grind. Very limited healing mechanics. Needs good players for hardest difficulty.

First off all: I did not buy this game, but I won it during a giveaway on a stream where people were playing it. I’ve had it for quite some time, but I only decided to pick it up recently. In hindsight I should’ve played it right away when the game was still actively being developed, but unfortunately I can’t change the past. Or fortunately? I don’t know. They tend to mess things up in the movies. Anyway, time for the actual review.

RAID: World War II is one of those games you go in with low expectations: bad overall reviews and a low active player count. But the game actually surprised me. Sure, it’s nowhere near perfect, but there is potential. The biggest issue however is this player count. It’s designed to be a co-operative game, but you’re lucky to find even a single lobby to play in. Your chances are slightly higher when you think the “normal” difficulty is acceptable, but you’re usually out of luck despite the recent influx of players. I’m afraid that even if the developers would unexpectedly fix many of the issues the game has, it still wouldn’t get the players it so desperately needs. It is very much playable when you’re alone, but more on that later.

Great Game, Deffo would recomend, I had a great time playing it with friends. The dodgy looking characters make the game more funny. So far i have found no glitches and no bugs at all! hopefully in the future they add more maps and have more players.

This is a great concept for a game and its really fun with friends.

However as other reviews have spoke about there is a very small player base and i have only found 1 random player on the game before, if you decide to buy the game make sure u have at least 3 other friends to play it with as you probably wont be able to play it otherwise, i recommend joining the discord as the devs are very nice and helpful with problems you may have.

Zelly’s Discount Reviews

This review is based on the idea you are only considering the game at mass discount, not full price, it isn’t ever gonna be worth full price.

The short version: Game breaking bugs and performance issues really drag this down from being a discount bin hidden gem. Other wise it would be fine as a discount game, for a more detailed break down, keep reading.

The game that ended Dead Rising as a series, is it really as bad as people say? Largely yes, there are fun points however to this game and you could really have a fun time with the game at a large discount if not for massive game breaking bugs that can permanently ruin your save file. As for the game it itself if you get the the season pass there’s several modes you can play through, each with their ups and downs.

Before this review begins I just want to say this is coming from a guy who LOVES the Dead Rising franchise. I played tons of Dead Rising 1 on the Xbox and got it on pc the release date and consider it my favorite game of all time. I also played over 200 hours of Dead Rising 2:OTR without modding it.

I think I have played this game thoroughly enough to write a review for this product (Beating the game once and grinding to level up and collect everything such as blueprints, mysteries etc. etc.) and boy where to begin. Dead Rising 4 is really a unique game. Reaching a ridiculous amount of controversy and complaints. I’ll be the one to say it was a pretty fun game to play…But not in the way it should of. Dead Rising 4 had the potential to be absolutely PHENOMENAL, but Capcom Vancouver shunned out the fans of Dead Rising and handed us a product that was such a disgrace to the series, which led to the result of Dead Rising 4. Every complaint you’ll see about this game is almost completely agreeable, but a lot of it is also a bit too excessive and heated that it just makes CV look like they murdered your dog. So I will make this this review completely fair and civil listing the Pros and Cons of this game.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

One or two player FPS. Violent adult themes. Great crime-based setting. Brutal story. Graphically visceral, lots of blood and gore. Satisfying gameplay but very taxing on hardest difficulty. Fun multiplayer but low player-base. MP modes require a minimum number of players.

ACHIEVEMENTS: A mixed bag. Story ones cant be missed. Some require MP play.

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men™

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men™

Played this and Dog Days back when they originally released on XBox 360, starting in 2007. This is a fantastic couch co-op and a fun single player experience too! I don’t understand the criticism levied at these games, as 7/10 isn’t a terrible score; it is slightly above average. People, I am assuming post 2000 birthday “havers”, are the ones I see doing this.

1. The cover system is janky, it does it automatically. Guess what?! This was a cool mechanic at the time and pushed the envelope.

2. The story is almost so violent it is comical. Not true, it is gritty and this story was well written and I would watch a movie of it….OH WAIT, we all have!! John Wick. Think about the story, and even GTAV with Michael and Trevor’s relationship. They broke ground in this game.

SPOILER-FREE (more like this on quietschisto.com )

TL;DR: Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is a cover-based Shooter in a mostly urban setting.

The story follows the ex-mercenary Kane, who wants to save his family from death, which technically isn’t anything you haven’t seen a million times before, although the narrative shows a fair share of potential.

Sadly, it is presented so badly that it has no way of really telling the player anything.

The game mechanics work (not great, but they work), but fail to bring anything new or exciting to the table. Standard cover-shooter stuff.
