The Chameleon

The Chameleon

Ok, I liked this game, might even speedrun it, but I have to give it a negative review because it’s exactly as I feared: it’s just the demo but double length.

For the price point it just ends too soon and feels like it doesn’t explore its concept enough. Also considering this was in the haunted ps1 disc this year, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably played the demo, which means you’ve experienced the best this game really has to offer already and you don’t need to buy it. You get the blink power in that demo and then it ends soon after.

Really fun stealth game!

As a massive Splinter Cell (Chaos Theory) fan, this scratched that itch.

It’s super cheap, but it is rather short (beat it in a little over 3hours), however I think with the price, and just how fun and well designed The Chameleon is, it was definitely worth the price. I think I might even feel like replaying this at some point.

Liked the story, if there ever were a DLC expansion, or just a sequel, I’d buy it.

The atmosphere, visual style, modern effects complementing the retro style, just feels great. There’s neat dynamic lighting, a cool dithering effect on high pixelation, lots of moody coloured lighting, details all around, notes to read to enhance the setting, charming humorous touches.

HEIST

HEIST

This is a great stealth puzzle game. The art, the sounds and the music all give the game a great mood.

There are so many ways to do better in each level giving you excellent replayability. The multiple paths through a level combined with checkpoints mean that you can always crawl your way through a more difficult level to get to the finish, but that leaves you room to come back and find a new way to get through the level even faster.

HEIST is easily in my top 10 favourite indie games of all time.

So most of the reviews on this game are like 3 years old, so a slightly more recent one, game is brilliant. gameplay is a lil iffy at times but if you love stereotypical noir shit this game is brilliant for it and it has probably the best soundtrack I’ve heard on a video game. idk if its worth the money but defo worth the play. 10/10.

This is a really fun game to play with the people you’re quarantined with! It’s got a phenomenal art style and really easy mechanics. But tbh, it’s definitely the great art style and 3d models that hold this game together. It’s a little short and there’s a chance that it might get boring after a while, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you find yourself browsing through random steam games.

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men™

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men™

Played this and Dog Days back when they originally released on XBox 360, starting in 2007. This is a fantastic couch co-op and a fun single player experience too! I don’t understand the criticism levied at these games, as 7/10 isn’t a terrible score; it is slightly above average. People, I am assuming post 2000 birthday “havers”, are the ones I see doing this.

1. The cover system is janky, it does it automatically. Guess what?! This was a cool mechanic at the time and pushed the envelope.

2. The story is almost so violent it is comical. Not true, it is gritty and this story was well written and I would watch a movie of it….OH WAIT, we all have!! John Wick. Think about the story, and even GTAV with Michael and Trevor’s relationship. They broke ground in this game.

SPOILER-FREE (more like this on quietschisto.com )

TL;DR: Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is a cover-based Shooter in a mostly urban setting.

The story follows the ex-mercenary Kane, who wants to save his family from death, which technically isn’t anything you haven’t seen a million times before, although the narrative shows a fair share of potential.

Sadly, it is presented so badly that it has no way of really telling the player anything.

The game mechanics work (not great, but they work), but fail to bring anything new or exciting to the table. Standard cover-shooter stuff.

Lynch has been working for a criminal businessman who goes by the name Glazer, since the events of the previous game. Glazer has a big arms deal planned that will pay enough to put Lynch into retirement. To aid the deal Lynch calls Kane knowing his expertise will more than help if things go south.

IN A WORD: WORTHWHILE

IN SHORT:

WHAT TO EXPECT:

One or two player FPS. Violent adult themes. Great crime-based setting. Brutal story. Graphically visceral, lots of blood and gore. Satisfying gameplay but very taxing on hardest difficulty. Fun multiplayer but low player-base. MP modes require a minimum number of players.

ACHIEVEMENTS: A mixed bag. Story ones cant be missed. Some require MP play.

STATUS: COMPLETE.

WHEN TO BUY: ON SALE. DLC rarely on sale.

HITMAN™

HITMAN™

HITMAN™ Review

**So ,hello to my next review of games ! Today i will say what I like from HITMAN™ an what not.

At first , I am a big Hitman fan and because I like it I must buy it . Many people gave the game an dislike !

So when you are to lazy to read all here scroll a little bit down**

Story

So the game plays after the events from “Hitman Absolution”. But at first it gives a tutorial where you learn the basics of the game and that plays 20 years before the events from Absolution. The story begins with the first episode in Paris and the Mission name is “Showstopper” . You have to kill two targets….. The bad thing is ,it’s an episodic game :/

Real player with 1268.8 hrs in game

There’s 2 things I’d like to get out of the way first before starting my review. I got the “Full Experience” (entire game) for free from a Steam friend - although this should have no effect on my review, it’s obviously a bit harder for me to gauge whether this game is worth full price or not. Second, HITMAN has a “mixed” review status at the time of writing and some of its earned. The episodic model this title uses is polarizing, a lot of stupid decisions have been made and the game lacks a lot of polish like most early access games do (ironically we were repeatedly told Hitman wasn’t an early access title). Now with that out of the way… how is the new Hitman game?
