The concept is fun, the levels are well designed, there are several bugs here and there but it is clear that this is still a WIP. Please allow me to share my own suggestions for further development: Not having checkpoints might be frustrating but would also shorten the game dramatically and may require additional challenges and/or collectibles, so I strongly suggest to add some. Achievements within the game for using more creative ways to reach the goal would also be welcome. Oh yeah… the camera! I think gamplaywise makes sense not to reveal everything but you know with some tweaks you can give an option to have it fixed on top with minimum tilt or make it free for the user to control, perhaps make it another character an owl keeping an eye on the bandits etc. Overall the puzzles have lots of logic behind them and with more juice this could become a super fun game.

Okay, so I don’t usually write reviews, but I think this game needs one.

Did I have fun? Yeah, I did.

I like the 3D style of the game, the mechanics, and the puzzle parts. Also, the music is charming, both on the menu and on the level.

However, I have come across some issues and complaints. First, if you get caught once, you have to restart the whole level from the beginning, and I feel that there should be checkpoints every time you complete a significant puzzle. Also, can the character swap not be on the mouse (should only be on the tab button) because it just feels offputting. Instead, could a camera panning mechanic be a function of the mouse because sometimes I can’t see what I’m doing correctly (like holding down the right-click and moving the mouse to look around). Also, SPOILER ALERT just finding the key to leave the cells in the first level took me 15 minutes because of a hidden ledge behind the wall (the camera angle did not indicate that I should be heading there).

Teardown

This game is wonderful.

From the satisfying explosions & realistic lighting and weather, to satisfyingly destructive fire and physics, Teardown is by far the most amazing game I have played in 2021. I may be a bit late to the party, but Teardown has the potential to hold up for the future. If this ever gets ported to next-gen hardware, it would be magnificent. Everything in the game is so amazingly satisfying. Teardown, I must say, is the ultimate stress reliever. There is something so magical about seeing semi-realistic destruction, with no real consequences. Don’t even get me started on the infinite stream of modded weaponry, maps, and random features I didn’t know I needed.

The destruction in this game works incredibly well. It may disappoint some, what with it still abiding by the logic of even a few blocks connected to something can prevent a structure from falling apart, but I ended up viewing that as a useful tool to better break the environment the way I needed to more than a negative. Additionally the first part of the campaign got a bit heavy on timer based missions in which you set up and then have a minute to grab various objectives then escape the level, but these definitely are less common in part 2 and when they do show up they’re different enough from the first ones you get to justify their presence. Overall though, the destruction is great and it combined with the objectives of each mission makes for some very rewarding gameplay.

The first time I met FRAMED on a smartphone, when the game was temporarily free. It enthralled me for a couple of hours, I went through the first part.

Of course, after a couple of years, I did’t fail the opportunity to play again and additionally in the prequel. Now the plot is finally revealed. And this is a great crime drama.

Love the game. although i have to admit i don’t like solo mode that much although it is kind of handy if no fiends are available. i love multiplayer mode and i love the fact that you need to communicate to beat the levels and the fact that there is a limited amount of time makes it so much more thrilling. I would recommend this game as a team building activity. i personally feel this game works on communication and also motivates people to get out of their comfort zone. Well done To the team of Solace studios, i am really impressed
