Gangs of Rikton

Gangs of Rikton

You’re back in Rikton City, six months after your parents died and you were charged with murder. You are free thanks to a mysterious stranger who now expects you to pay him back. For this, you will have to make a place for yourself in the middle of the underworld of Rikton City. What will be your destiny? Fortune and power? A return to prison? Or a one-way trip to the morgue?

You have to start with little profitable petty theft to earn enough money to invest.

  • Steal money, items and ID from passers-by’s wallets. Then resell the stolen goods to the pawnshop!

  • Create fake bank accounts using IDs and embezzle money from consumer loans!

  • Rob the neighborhood stores, but watch out for armed cashiers!

Become the biggest pimp in town !

  • Take the girls working in the streets under your protection

  • Earn their loyalty by effectively protecting them, giving them little gifts, or drugging them…

  • Or scare them by threatening them and eliminating the most rebellious. Who said the crime was moral ?

  • Invest in massage clubs that will serve as hidden brothels, and send your most beautiful girls as escorts !

The most profitable business, but also the most dangerous

  • Produce yourself weed and synthetic drugs like methamphetamine and ecstasy !

  • Buy from stores and from unscrupulous employees or wholesalers

  • Import cocaine and heroin through dynamically generated contacts, which can try to scam you.

  • Cut and retail drugs on the streets, but get ready to face the competition !

Your gang and the management of your territory are very important functions. Increase your production, your income and decrease the micromanagement.

  • Eliminate local gangs to appropriate their territory and no longer suffer from their competition !

  • Recruit lieutenants and entrust them with pieces of your territory, they will deal for you and will also find other activities to bring you small bonuses

  • Watch your men ! Maybe they will betray you to start their own gang or maybe they are undercover cops !

The police watch and remember!

  • Take care ! It won’t be enough to hide 30 seconds for the police to let you go. Every crime you commit may be added to your file. If this becomes too important, you will no longer be able to avoid your arrest… You will then have to undergo a long and expensive trial.

  • Use corrupt officers to diminish the importance of the case against you !

  • Don’t spill blood unnecessarily ! In addition to increasing your file, it will increase the police presence in the city.

  • Bet on fights, maybe your trusted men and girls will hear tips…

  • Buy and manage your Night Club !

  • Indulge yourself by buying the most beautiful villa and show your success

Gangs of Rikton is a game developed by one developer. Even if, the graphics design is decent and creditable, the emphasis was put on the gameplay. It is essentially a game for mature people, which has a detailed conception and is wide-ranging. You have been warned !

Really good start, but needs a lot more input and very soon. Silenced rounds ripping into flesh - together with all round realistic sounds accompanied by eerie tunes. Excellent graphics, sound range of weapon upgrades and silencers but something like the M203 in addition, would be even better!!!! An LMG is already in place but could also do with something like an ACOG Scope. Or how about the GLOCK G44 which also uses 5.56mm rounds, which you could then twin with other 5.56mm rifles?

Really good start, but needs something else to happen, apart from pirates suddenly appearing in front of you and they have taken over the business without firing a shot????

Disclaimer: This review will focus on ‘Single-Player’

Describing this game in one sentence would be: An extremely generic version of Tarkov.

There is only one map and on that map there are 7 “strong-holds” in the city, which you have to capture them, which is essentially how you will make the most money. Looting is suppose to be an important aspect of the game, but honestly, capturing the strong-holds, gives you an abundance of money, where looting simply becomes obsolete.

Speaking about obsolete looting. Once you’ve manage to capture all of the 7 strong-holds, well now my friends, you have the pleasure of continuing to “defend” them, because why yes, the AI can take them back. You will constantly, and I mean constantly get notified about one of your strong-holds being raided or taken over by the AI. Which essentially means, you don’t really have any time for looting, because while you’re looting, the AI could be taking one of your strong-holds.

As a lover of the Egyptian mythology and playing little tower defense games this was a quick buy for me. Also the achievement list is a sweet bonus as well.

I was hesitated about buying this game due to some review and topic said the Dev has abandoned this game. Let’s me clarify this. They just put a new update in this game, and also there will be a patch which add mod support to the game according to the dev. And after 90 mins playing, so far I don’t see any bug glitch in this game. Everything work pretty smooth, game optimization is very good imo. Here are some Pros and Cons.

Pros:

  • Save on exit. You can exit the game anytime you want without worry about losing your progress.

So, after surviving 3 consecutive winters, I have a fair grasp on the game—which did not come without cost. The first ~10 hours was learning how to balance the needs of the character, and learning the city (the latter being the slightly more difficult part).

Expect to die. Expect to die a lot. This game is ruthless, and it will sht on you: you will starve, you’ll be told to “pss off”, you’ll smell like a porta-potty, you may end up involved with a Satanic Cult, you’ll get blitzed so badly that you’ll feel like you have to hold on to the pavement to keep from falling off the face of the planet…and then you’ll sh*t your pants.

I have not played through all the current content, but from what I’ve played so far, it’s very fun. Do I recommend this game? yes! Unless you are someone who is very picky and needs a very smooth, well polished experience. While this game is fairly smooth for being in early access, it’s still a little rough around the edges. IMHO, its not that bad. I’ve played plenty of Early Access titles, and this is one of the better ones. The graphics in VR are not great, the textures for grass are horrid, and the character models look way to small and funky. The textures when in the nicer houses look perfectly acceptable. The tree’s are just terrible as well. If graphics are not a big deal to you, then its not a big deal. If you are like me, and love some good eye candy. This game will not provide that, and I asked if the graphics would be getting better after early access. The devs said no, and gave me a cheap answer imho. They basically just told me no its not getting upgraded, and that the textures don’t look good because thats just how it looks in VR games. Which is BS, because I’ve played plenty of non AAA VR games that had decent to great textures. So either their engine is hard to work with for optimizing high rez textures, or they dont want to be bothered with optimizing high rez textures. Especially since in Skyrim VR, a simple texture mod for 4k textures goes a LOOOONG way in making the game look much better. Regardless, this is a fun game and I still recommend it.

I’ve played this for around 4 hours and think it’s an excellent game considering it is still in Early Access.

The concept is fantastic and I’ve enjoyed sneaking around, picking locks, climbing fences and hiding in bins, cupboards, and under beds from the cops and inhabitants of the homes.

Graphically it is pretty good looking. It isn’t buggy but there are some issues trying to grab stuff and put them in your backpack - this is typical in vr when the controllers get too close.

I like the progression in levels of the various skills and the difficulty with getting into the houses.

Troll and I™

Troll and I™

Before this game, I had nothing. My family threw me out on the cold, summer streets of Chicago. All I had was $5 in Walmart gift cards (yes, multiple) and my desktop PC in hand. Although this game cost more than $5 and this is not Walmart, I somehow managed to acquire a copy. That’s when my life changed for better or for worse. When you’ve hit the lowest point, there is nowhere to go, but up. Troll & I was my, “up”. This game is an emotional journey from start to finish. The relationship between the player and the troll is reminiscent of the brilliant character development and relationship displayed in Michael Bay’s Transformers™ franchise between Optimus Prime and whoever the hell Shia LaBeouf played. Never before has a form of media touched my heart like this game has. Thanks to this game, I cleaned up my act, my family took me back and my wife forgave me for whatever I did. I’m still not really sure, she gets pretty irrational when she’s angry, I’m not gonna lie. If you were hesitant to buy this game, because of the low reviews, do it anyway. For your $30, more or less depending on the seasonal sales, you will gain a deeper understand of yourself, those you care about and trolls. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you may or may not experience minor gastrointestinal discomfort. Troll & I is truly the perfect video game. If you’re a fan of Super Mario 64, Dark Souls and/or Jimmy Neutron Attack of the Twonkies for GameCube (I haven’t, played the other versions, but I really enjoyed that one. I also hear the version on GameBoy Advance was pretty good.) you will love Troll & I. 5/5 Stars. HIGHLY recommend!

Troll and I has a bit of a reception for being a notoriously bad game, and while it is indeed a game, I don’t believe it deserves the low reputation it has; far from it. The game tells the tale of a forlorn teenager named Otto, like the bus driver in The Simpsons, and a monstrous looking eponymous troll as they work together to return back to their families. You fight, solve puzzles and collect secrets through beautiful Scandinavia while the villain Nico and his men hunt the troll down. It isn’t just man that threatens you, it’s also the diverse nature hazards and the hostile mountain goblins that use a variety of weapons to hurt both you and Troll.
