I love sliding games and active neurons is among my favorites with its excellent presentation, cool mechanics and relaxing gameplay, even if it’s on the short and easy side and has some timing elements. the sequel looked similar enough and I was really looking forward to it, didn’t even consider the possibility of it ending up as a disappointment, but sadly that’s what happened.

Moon Hunters

Moon Hunters

Moonhunters

Moonhunters is an isometric action role-playing game that can be played with up to four people. There are several different characters to pick from with a limited amount of abilities that become more diverse as you progress through a session. The game itself is set in five different worlds, adorned with pixel graphics.

Your Progression

Moonhunters features a central hub whereby a collection of everything you have unlocked in single and multiplayer games is compiled. These are scenarios whereby you triggered certain events or met specific bosses. The idea of the game is to collect all of these trophies and fill up your hub. It is important to note that this is an extremely repetitive grind whereby you meet the majority of the same content over and over again. to put it into perspective; this is a game whereby it is impossible to unlock everything through skill but rather luck and figuring out which conversations lead to certain triggers. This, in turn, means that a lot of your time will be spent searching the wiki on how to get specific unlocks and then attempting to recreate these scenarios.

Let me explain this rating: I would recommend the experience of MH, not the game itself.

The value of MH is learning from its mistakes of trying to develop a narrative through mechanics. As someone who likes rogue-lite games yet craves for more storytelling, the idea of uncovering/shaping the story through replay-value is a novelty I can admire.

It’s no masterpiece nor a new benchmark for rogue-lites; it’s something of a failed experiment. That’s how I’d explain my apprecation for the game.

This is a fun and engaging game, easy to learn hard to master. Worth more than the asking price; 5/5 would recommend. Honestly a really fun way to spend some spare time for those who are into strategy and puzzle games. Shout out to the dev(s)/designer(s), thanks!

Its a casual puzzler. Not enaugh challenge for me,infact 70% of the game is like a tutorial. You can find better titles for this price.I really wanted to like this game because it looks nice,it has nice music and plays well overall. Not for me but I would recommend to someone who is getting into puzzlers.Nice but too easy.

It’s gorgeous. The vistas are stunning and once you fart around with some upgrades you can really rip around the place pretty quick.

By no means is it perfect, but for ten bucks it’s an easy recommendation.

Yikes.

Performance is hideous.

The gameplay is bland, you just surf from one area to the next, reading tutorials that are missing text because of the environment is covering it up.

The controls work sometimes and the grab detection is nonsense.

If you actually make it to an area without the numerous crashing you will get a sword with no vibration feedback.

And just as the lack of feedback so is the music. All you hear is wind.

Next area you get a gun thats not finished modelled.

And finally you get out of the tutorial just to get to an area filled with puzzles.

I bought this game for a dollar, and I still question if it was worth that. It’s like, barely functional, and I didn’t get very far before it’s brokenness made it ridiculously hard. Maybe get this on a 90 off sale if you’re curious, maybe.

10/10 Masterpiece

Fish Feast is a gameplay marvel, rewarding fishiness and agility in a way few games do.

There are lots of different fish and locations to admire. Fish Feast is lots of fun!

My review may be biased due to my connection with the creator, however I feel confident saying that this game has the potential to become a great and very popular rhythm game. The premise is simple, and the game is quite simple to start learning. Personally I think the learning curve for the first few levels is just about right, requiring a bit of time to learn the basics, and to polish until the final level. Overall I would recommend the game to people that are looking for a new and interesting rhythm game, and especially so if the game continues to be developed.

Gaem gaem GAEMING!

The game follows a silent protagonist with no known name or history who slashes threats who try and invade homeless camps in the city. Other than that, the game has no real story (though I imagine that a story might be implemented later on.)

The game’s hybrid of rhythm and hack n slash makes the experience unique and enjoyable. However, there are times where the game felt cheap as there was a stun that didn’t allow me to move to another part of the map.

As for the final boss, he is 100% supa sick. However some of his indicators could be more visible as it took me a sew tries to understand what I was supposed to do.

Oof. Steam says I played the game for over 9 hours, but actually playtime was like 4-5 hours.

This game is fun for like 1-2 hours; I just wanted to “finish” it. So I finished stage 600 and fought the skeleton king, to start at stage 300 again… well it’s endless, but there seems to be no reason to go further than stage 600 and if you once hit that, you are almost done.

Just farm some points in “royal fight” upto 10mil if you want and finish the Versus mode (this one is pretty silly in higher tiers, cause you just have to hide and wait until your opponent dies).. did all this within about 5 hours.

A mobile port with microtransactions removed, this game is fun to mess around with, but gets boring fast.

If you like re-fighting the same enemies, on the same maps, while re-upgrading the same gear and abilities, and completing the same few tasks, then this might be for you.

There are three game modes, one of which is available from the start, and two that unlock later:

  • “Fight” -

Endless stages, cycling through the same few tiny map sets. In each area you fight four waves of 15 enemies, followed by a boss. If you die, you start at the beginning of the last wave with no penalties.

Loved every minute of it. I had sat for two days playing it straight! I might even stream it just to have fun with the possible voice acting here! Though I say the game is tough at points but hey! No pain no game!

Bought the game on itch first about half a year ago, and it gave me a steam key now. Game’s fun.
