8089: The Next Action RPG
Been testing this since literal first alpha build so take this with a bit of “bias salt” if you want, but my honest opinion:

Game is great. Both in VR and non-VR modes. (I played primarily in non-VR). It’s riding on 5089 success and it does so very well imo. Phr00t’s charm is strong in this one.

Butter smooth controls, little bit of jank here and there, but otherwise game is great. runs smooth, framerate is stable and fairly well optimised (literally ran on GPD Win2).

Gameplay is pretty good. It’s fun to annihilate alien bugs with stealth kills or just shoot groups of enemies with whatever shotgun-sniper-mortar automatic weapon you make. Plenty of good combat abilities to make combat even more fun.

As of writing this review I’ve only been playing for 10 hours, but I seriously could see myself playing this for many more. Don’t let the graphics keep you from playing this game if it seems interesting to you, because once you get used to it, the potato looking bad guys reactions start to give it a certain charm. The real reason to play this game is the gameplay and the core game loop in this is pretty amazing. Primarily it is a game where you want to make your stats and gear’s numbers go higher, and to do that you have to continually venture further into difficult lands. As you progress the enemies grow stronger and you face different and interesting challenges that change up your gameplay. You can’t just rush to the higher level zones and scrape together better gear though, instead you have to activate each new area, which unlocks all the vendors and quests for that particular difficulty level. Supposedly this continues infinitely, and I have no reason to doubt it.

EVERSLAUGHT
Everslaught, what can I say, it’s a dream come true, so to speak, as far as fast games in VR are concerned. I don’t know of any other game that brings this speed of the popular fps genre to VR. You fight with sword, grappling hook and shotgun in constant combination and it works so smoothly that you feel like you’ve never done anything else.
The beginning of the game is very leisurely and familiarizes you with the controls. But one thing is immediately noticeable, you move fast, with dash even faster. Early on you get your first sword and try it out on the first enemies. These are some kind of zombies. There regular types which grab at you and larger ones wield axes. When you kill one you’ll get blood capsules, which become important later in the game. The combat system is not fully physics-based like perhaps in Hellsplit or Blade & Sorcery, but rather designed for fast, action-packed fps play.

This caught my eye immediately, as a fan of Gunheart which ended up getting smooth locomotion+dash teleport+jumping… I have been craving an action title with competent traversal techniques, and I think this game delivers on that.

Anima : The Reign of Darkness
The Opposite of PoE!
Playing Path of Exile since 8/2011, it slowly derailed for me from hack and slash to build (or better copy) , buy , and now study bossfight phases and anounced abilities.
If you want to go back to the roots and frag some stuff 2 sec. after you logged in and dont want to plan heists or syndicates or 10 other timewasters - this may be your game for the next hours.

This game is an ode to the original ARPG’s like the original Diablo. It’s a ton of fun and I’ve blown almost 10 hours into it already and seems like I’ve been playing for a couple hours tops. The drops are fun and even has lower level legendary and set items to loot and at just a bit over $10.00 is well worth the price. So far at early leveling I have one large tower like dungeon with
many different levels to explore and quests given in town with merchants and NPC. It’s a fun
game and I see a lot of mixed reviews. I think considering the price and the fun it’s well worth $10+

Stress Random
what this game lacks in polish, varied content, and technical skill, it makes up for with pure, unhinged creativity. it’s worth the price solely for the brief story and the ms paint art. i genuinely enjoyed what i have played so far, and i will enjoy it when i play more. i am so excited for what comes next from this developer.

Fun and unique fps with traits from Crysis and Bright Memory.

For me this game is more promising than other reviewers have found it. I’m not usually crazy about too much story line (too much for my taste in Crysis for eg) but with my favourite shooters going down the campaigns as thinly disguised survival scene after survival scene, where you face ever increasing and ultimately, pointless hordes of enemies to disguise a lack of imagination (think Doom Eternal - Ancient Gods, Serious Sam 4) this game strikes a nice balance for me. Sure there’s bugs, but there’s popular well established games out there with bugs that have never been ironed out. Happy to give this one a chance.

Bandit Simulator

A game to congratulate. The main character pulls you into the game either by the playability or with the story. The scenarios are diverse and wake up your attention - the music also. You can “play” with the time of the game and stay by the small games and quests inside of it. It’s fun. I love it.
I miss the times when games were made to leave something to the player. I miss games like this.

Dreamland Prison
Dreamland Prison is an action RPG slasher game with dynamic combat. You play as Ares the young man who get’s involved in demons game. Your main goal is to destroy Leviathan’s strongest servant Archdemon, only by doing it you can save hundreds of people in white sleep.
Story
A mysterious disease - white sleep takes place in the Arai city. People suffering from it fall into a deep coma and a mysterious birthmark appears on their hands. Several days after the first case of the disease, hundreds of sick people die simultaneously in one evening. After this event, more people get sick the very next day, including mother of our main character - Ares. During a visit to his mother in the hospital, Ares falls asleep. He awakens in front of a powerful being - Beliar. The demon explains to Ares that he became his player in the game against the second gamemaster Leviathan. To save his mother and hundreds of people in white sleep Ares must win the demonic game.
Combat
We chose a combat system in which all attacks are area of effect, thanks to which we can simultaneously slaughter hordes of enemies. As you play you need to avoiding monsters area attacks as well. The fight will become more and more spectacular and interesting as our character grow. Stronger enemies will have more and more deadly skills.
