qubo
To fit in with the rest of my visual novel library, I’d have to give this game the merit of being the least sexual visual novel I have played. The cutscenes are short but inspire introspection and deep thinking. The gameplay, while confusing, is deeply entertaining. Since the beta I received, I have unlocked all secret endings, and I must say, the devs know their writing.

DUNGEON ENCOUNTERS
Summary
A solid dungeon crawler that gets straight to the action. Combat is satisfying if ultimately simple, the exploration is pleasant in a completionist way, and the variety of locations keeps the visuals fresh as you progress.
However, a lack of plot and world-building and some glaring omissions on the QoL side leave this game falling short of what it could have been.
7/10 if you enjoy the dungeon crawler genre. Even then I’d probably wait for a sale, since $30 is a bit steep.
Hard pass otherwise, as there’s nothing else on offer.

I can´t reccomend it at all . It looks like Alpha build. And using dungeon terminology. This game is like skeleton, some interesting bones, but juicy flesh is missing. Over simplistic, very low possibilityo of customisation . Only reasonable explanation, that can justify it , this game was created for Active mode only (no wait mode of ATB)
Personally only thing similar I know is Labyrinth of Tohou 2. I will reccomend it instead but be warned, Where Dungeon Encounters is casual and simplistic , Tohou2 is hardcore and very complicated and too many characters for my liking.

Worm Jazz
A fun and clever little puzzle game that requires thinking ahead before each move. Really like the undo enabling backtracking for those times you take a wrong turn, very intuitive keyboard and mouse assignment as well. Lovely little gem, highly recommended!

86
I’ve only played a small amount of “86,” but have really enjoyed it thus far. It’s a challenging puzzler that only relies on symbols and iconography to teach the player the rules of any given challenge. The cartoon art style is effective at translating all information required for the player to solve the puzzles. The strict time limit adds a nice sense of urgency, and the addition of a “notepad” in the game hearkens back to the days of PC gaming where game booklets and manuals had pages of empty space for the player to write down learned knowledge. The $5.00 price tag is more than reasonable for this type of game (I’m reminded of “Frog Detective,” in that sense). I’m looking forward to playing more.

Drawngeon: Dungeons of Ink and Paper
Drawngeon is a traditional dungeon crawler, which is equivalent of a first-person roguelite with 90-degree turns. It takes anywhere from 2 to 5 hours to finish without prior knowledge, but it has some replay value through different characters and achievement hunting. Can I just say that I absolutely love the UI in this game, you can actually point&click in a first-person view and move things into your inventory, also works when you need to drop or give items to the quest giver. You could play with a controller, but I find it a little difficult, so I just played with the keyboard instead. The game has pretty nice settings, including a camera lock and key binding. For the most part it’s a very creative game with fun gameplay, although it falls apart toward the end due to poor balancing and lack of coherent progression.

Glorious solo-protagonist reincarnation of ancient “Eye Of The Beholder”, only if it was made by a non-DnD fan, in 2018. (and that’a actually how it was)
Unique drawn art style, droning ambience and atmosphere. Creepy twist in the end. No real ending, but probably the only thing that got me qualitatively scared for half a minute. Not an ARG or meta-game, but just a well-executed mind trick.
Not without its flaws, like eventual off-screen teleports or holes in the floor polygons, but maybe that will get patched out eventually. For a game made by 2 self-funded people, pretty impressive.

Maze of Memories
I finished all of these mazes in 3 days (an hour a day). I would put on my music and mindlessly play through the mazes. It was a nice way to wind down after a long day.

Miira
Miira is a puzzle-horror mashup game, mixing the classic puzzle gameplay in the vein of The Witness with horror elements of games like Amnesia.
The main game features a 1-hour average play time with additional arcade-like mode that delivers the puzzles with mechanics from the game in a randomly generated fashion. It heavily relies on gameplay-based emergent horror situations and atmosphere building.
You will have to traverse 5 distinct locations, all with their own thematic style and puzzle mechanics. There is no option to fight back, so you will have to be crafty and cautious to keep yourself from succumbing to the nightmare that lurks in the dark corners of Miira. Watch your back, and stay vigilant…
