Music is perfection, gameplay is solid, if a bit goofy at times, especially dealing with knocked down enemies and poorly placed doors that either block bullets, or don’t swing open all the way, blocking your spray. The story is enjoyable, but the music does most of the heavy lifting for setting the tone of the scene, which isn’t a bad thing, since every single track is a masterpiece.

The game runs alright for the most part, even on my potato of a pc, but the frame rate grinds to a halt on Push It, and if you’re on Mac, moving your cursor to the top of the screen opens your task bar, which freezes the game for a second, leading to some frustrating deaths.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

a great game that continues the story of Hotline Miami and takes place, before, during and after the first game. The second game is told in kind of a Quentin Tarantino way, jumping back and fourth in the timeline. It is not necessary to play the first game before this one but i would recommend it, since i believe that the first one is also brilliant. If you are a fan of the first game there is no reason why you would’t enjoy this one.

I regret not playing this game sooner. As someone who loves fast-paced shooter games, Hotline Miami 2 hits the spot. In this game you have to embrace death in order to do well. Accept the fact that dying a lot is an inevitability or you won’t have a fun time playing this. I didn’t do that any of that initially and suffered greatly. Eventually I just decided to throw safety into the trash, and I did far better then before. My only real complaint is the level design. It ranges from: really well made, to okay, and then to downright annoying. Thankfully most of the levels fall under the first two categories.

You get what you paid for, 2K achievements at minimum price. If you’re an achievement hunter looking to increase the number of achievements on your profile showcase, then I highly recommend buying this. Else don’t waste your money. This is not a game, it’s just a way of distributing achievements.

Volume

Volume

He was a good outlawe,

~John Stow, Annales of England

OK, now this one is complicated. First of all, story-wise, you can’t judge Volume by its screenshots. Just because it’s actually… a Robin Hood story. Believe it, or not. Not the usual one, of course, since it’s more like a cyberpunk take on Robin Hood, but still. We play as Robert Locksley, a hacker thief, who’s fighting Guy Gisborne, an evil man, who took control over the England, by streaming the simulations of heists over the country. For me, it was enough to become interested in the game. Just because I’m a huge fan of Robin Hood since I was a kid. The fact that it’s also a stealth game made it even more interesting to me, because I totally love the genre. In the end, it was supposed to be like a dream game to me. I mean, stealth, cyberpunk, Robin Hood… It sounds awesome! And in some way it is. But it’s not that simple.

So, I just finished this lovely game.

It goes by the name of Volume.

Back when I first heard about it, I knew I had to have it.

It’s essentially a cyberpunk re-imagining of Robin Hood mixed with VR Missions from Metal Gear Solid.

If that’s not enough to make you rush and pick it up I don’t know what else to say.

But let me start at the beginning, that’s where all the good stories start I hear. If you’re lazy and want to know if it’s good that’s down at the bottom, somewhere. (Yes, it’s good.) (it’s at the bottom too)

A nice and atmospheric game. The graphics and sounds are well done and really help you to immerse yourself into the games world. While the game is short, it does have a branching storyline, where different decisions take you down different paths, giving it replayability.

I did not have a history with Top-Down Shooters (also known as Twin Stick Shooters) until Hotline Miami. Since then I have started to enjoy them more, especially with Nuclear Throne. I usually saw them as cheap little games that had very little to offer, but those aforementioned games and a few others (Enter The Gungeon) have put them back on the map. However, those heavy-hitters are already so good that one might find it difficult to break some new ground. And yet, Mr. Shifty comes and seduces with a mechanic that just feels perfectly at home with this viewpoint: a “blink” or “teleport” ability, that you might know from Dishonored’s Corvo, X-Men’s Nightcrawler or a few MOBAs that borrow it from WarCraft III’s Warden hero.

## Senshi Tank 2: Space Bots

Tanks in space! Lol, awesome concept and really fun to play. I’ve been beta testing for a while. The maps constantly change in Search/Destroy keeping me on my toes. I’m a big audio person and really appreciate the detail to the game sounds and music. Nice job! The colors and animations keep me entertained and are good quality. I have a feeling this game is going to be habit forming! Overall, really like it and would recommend. Oh, and LOVE that this game was made by a gamer – super cool! Fun indie game.

Senshi Tank 2: Space Bots is a fun fast paced game. If you want to blow off some steam or just get caught up in trying to get a good score. There are a number of enemies to admire, but you will be zooming around blowing them all up. The various types of weapon upgrades ensures you have to think and change tactics on the fly. Do you take the shotgun blast ammo and get dangerously close? Or do you use the railgun like shot that can kill multiple opponents? The action is smooth and the tempo is upbeat. Considering its from a small developer, Raven About Games and Senshi Tank 2 is a game for gamers, by gamers. The developer is very easy to communicate with and eager for feedback, like any true gamer they want to improve the experience and I look forward to seeing the final product.

## Tesla Force

Note: Updated after first patch.

I have completed the higher difficulty (game+ cycle 2) on early access. So far so good. Pretty polished EA game. I like the shoot'em up game play. As I progress, there are enough varieties to keep me interested. Basically, there are different objectives for each map. Easy to pick up. But can be a challenge to complete depends on the progression on each encounter. So far, no two games are the same. And previous success doesn't guarantee future success. I.e. you may find one game rather easy to complete (pro tip: stick with BFG gun) but you may struggle with the next one depending on the guns you use and the perks you have got (and the missions as well).

"_Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less_." - Marie Curie

Tesla Force is a gloriously over the top, roguelite twin stick shooter and a tale of Nikola Tesla inadvertently opening a portal at the Wardenclyffe Tower and awakening the cosmic horrors while trying to provide free energy, wireless transmissions and a life of leisure to everyone. In 1916.

Let me just continue with that bonkers story for a second. Before everything goes Cthulhu, a young Marie Curie pops out of a second portal in an almost Ghostbusters uniform and yells at Tesla he kind of goofed. Tesla stoically accepts that, picks up a shotgun and one of his inventions and proceeds mowing down cosmic monstrosities and closing down portals in a tutorial mission that ends with him flying off in a mech. Now if that doesn't sound like electric currents of fun and escapism at its finest, I don't know what does.

I bougth this game just to test it but I´ve gave me a big surprise. Very funny and adictive game. I recomend it . One thing I would improve is when you don´t have amunition in Survival MOde, It could be some king of clues over the map.

Update: HTC VIVE users - try sitting down [on the floor] to play it helps with the camera. Game errors out when trying to run from VR mode - have to actually shut down SteamVR and run game in normal mode to be able to play.

The concept is fun but in VR (Vive or Rift - tried in both) it is a bit disorienting with the camera being stuck at what feels like a 30-40 degree angle facing the ground and camera follows player. This doesn't feel very optimized for VR. Fix these two things (make camera preferences adjustable and saveable?) and this may end up on my favorites because of the scale and survival/missions concept. Otherwise, can't play further.
