Transistor
Transistor is a sci-fi themed RPG action game, developed and published by SuperGiant games (the same guys who brought us Bastion), releasing on PC in mid 2014, and then later in that year on PS4, and then got a further port to IOS in June of 2015.
Game play in Transistor takes a lot of elements from Bastion. The camera angle is in an isometric point of view as you control the main character, Red. You traverse a series of locations fighting enemies, known as the “Process”. A nice feature which has been added which is where Transistor differs from Bastion, is that you can either fight in real time, or in a planning phase. The real time plays very similar to how any isometric action game would play out, however the planning phase really adds an element of strategy to this title; you have a limited number of commands you can carry out before needing to recharge, these commands include moving around the scene and casting your various spells and abilities.

Transistor is a pretty interesting game, though definitely confusing. You begin the game “in media res,” with things falling apart and jumping into some uncertain combat with some creatures known as The Process. Your character, Red, seems to have lost her voice, which is odd, and I will get to that later as a criticism related to Supergiant Games. The only thing that speaks to you (as the character and player) for most of the game is actually your weapon, the Transistor itself.
The story is not all given to you. In fact, you must piece a lot of it together - what the world is, where the people in it are, who the people you meet along your journey are, and what you are actually doing in the first place, among many other questions. Supergiant was very lightweight on what they give you, as you only learn small pieces here and there, with a few side details as you explore and find items such as terminals, which have news posts or recorded audio.

UBERMOSH
tldr; great game, easily worth the full price. Some wonkyness in terms of bullet spawn and hitboxes, but it’s consistent and predictable with some practice, and fun from the start.
My take
If you consider yourself a twitch gamer, this gem will test your mettle. If you consider yourself patient, this game will cause you to re-evaluate. If you like a challenge, the achievements associated are a feather for your cap (especially Kensai CM).
This game has stones - big ones. And rage. And an awesome soundtrack.

The colony provides us everything except for violence.
The game’s tagline is a fitting one, since this title provides nothing but violence in wholesome abundance. To put in summary, Ubermosh is a fast pace, bullet hell game, in which you must survive for as long as possible and compete for a high score.
A typical session of play would last between 10 to 90 seconds, though more likely than not, you will experience a short life of less than 30. This is by no means bad, since you are pump and psyched to abort, retry and fail; over and over again. The mechanics is simple, as a rookie gladiator you must utilise your sword to slice bullets that are fired your way, that or dodge to avoid your demise.

The Author’s note
–———————————————————————————————-
After many years of gaming, I have decided to start making reviews about games, so here goes one for this game in a detailed fashion. I tried to gather as many hours of gameplay to view all the possible outcomes and finish the achievements. Since I dont want to spoil the fun of actually playing the game, I will try to keep it at a minimum, while providing useful insight about my experience.

So, when it comes to cyberpunk I become super mad. Guess the main reason is because I was grown on all these movies and stylish shows and synthwave music, in one word all these main cyberpunk components. Plus, I really appreciate the whole idea of the cyberpunk and all this aesthetic is pretty much addictive.
And now, everytime I hear some cyberpunk games are about to release I feel like “yeaaah, an amazing content is here!” and insta buy it. Sadly, lot of games disappointed me or were boring as hell, but on another hand, there are still cool products on the market.

Omikron: The Nomad Soul
Omikron: The Nomad Soul has a very in-depth plot and constantly tries to break the fourth wall (whether it works or not) in order to convince you that your soul has been trapped inside the world of Omikron and that your soul and very existence outside the game is at stake in regards to the antagonist, the demon known as Astaroth. The characters you interact with in the main story are fleshed out in their own rights, some more than others. The player is able to interact with certain people at certain parts of the game and depending on what you say will determine what the character will reply with.

(Sorry, nie będzie polskiej wersji, nie mieści się. Chciałem umieścić w komentarzach ale jest limit 1000 znaków)
Omikron: The Nomad Soul is the first game of the Quantic Dream studio. It might as well be considered three games in one. For the major part of the gameplay it remains a TPP adventure game relying on the usual stuff: talking with NPCs and using items. Occasionally it switches to FPP shooter or hand to hand 1 on 1 brawler kind of similar to early instalments of the Tekken or Virtua Fighter series. It is worth mentioning that all of these are made pretty solid and none of them feels like it was forced into the gameplay without a reason (well, maybe with the exception of swimming, but it occurs 2 or 3 times in the entire game, which is acceptable).

Katana ZERO
After finishing the story, I wasn’t entirely sure if this game warrants the overwhelmingly positive rating, as the story can be finished in about 4 hours.
The story is good, the combat is tight, works a bit like a puzzle - you can slow time, dodge, throw objects, deflect bullets, and slash with your sword, along with some other periphery mechanics like exploding barrels and steam to hide yourself in. All of this will be used to slaughter everyone, while avoiding every blow (you die in one hit) with a real-time replay to boot.

NEON STRUCT
For anyone who’s a huge admirer of Thief like I am, this is a definite recommend! While it is a rather low-budget, small scale game, it has enough of its own vibe and does not outstay its welcome to become boring. I will attempt to sum up my feelings on it in more detail. (Possible spoilers ahead?)
Mechanically , it directly borrows light gem and surface materials elements from Thief. I love that! The experience of “reading a room” for isles and pathways that are safe to run on or stay in (and having to dynamically think through affordances of illumination and sound) never gets old and is unfortunately missing from most modern stealth games.

NEON STRUCT is a game for those who like first-person stealth, and don’t care about graphics or story. It’s not exactly that it’s a bad game; I did play it to completion. But thinking back, there’s little that stands out positively, and the experience never really gripped me.
The gameplay is probably the strongest part of NEON STRUCT. The game is divided into self-contained missions, each with a couple of goals such as stealing an item or deleting data from a computer. The levels are moderately sized with a progressively increasing number and variety of guards, security cameras and similar obstacles to overcome. There’s some freedom in approach; for example, you can steal keycards from patrolling guards, knock the guards out first, or hack the door with a Breakout mini-game; and all levels feature multiple routes to explore.

Until I Have You
So lets review until i have you. Before i get into that, I have been speaking with the developer of issues I had with the game and pitched ideas of that could help maintain flow of the game. Those ideas are not important to the review but i think the backstory for that with the recent updates that fixed my issues with the game I would re examine the game. I will go over things in a pro/ con style and ending with my conclusion.
pro:
Amazing story. The story is very interesting when you go back to your apartment and watch these memory shows that has key plot points in the past of our main character. Some of which are kinda sad to see the struggle that the couple face when the main character is always doing crime. While he is out she fills this jar labeled your never here with coins. That hits you hard. Other than that in the game you see how as the game continues how the main character’s perception of reality is messed up and you see the world as he sees in the in the level design. Bloody with zombies or monsters.

Although it has quite a few glaring flaws, this game does a lot right: the basic idea is interesting, the premise is cool, the soundtrack/artwork/atmosphere are amazing, core gameplay mechanics are well-implemented and engaging, and the game design offers a surprising amount of variety and replayability. Difficulty level is high at times (“tough but fair” is not entirely accurate, as some bosses and levels can be extremely aggravating in spite of learning the tricks and patterns), but that’s largely part of the experience with the genre and retro-inspired gaming in general. The result is a game that’s a lot of fun to play - provided everything else works.

Brick Breaker Bunch
Very good game, amazing soundtrack. Very fast paced. Maybe add multiplayer?
– Real player with 0.6 hrs in game
A fun little brick breaker game with some new mechanics thrown in including tanks, bumpers, multiple paddles and even bosses! Pretty good value for money given the low price and large amount of levels. Dev is friendly and obviously cares about the game, even to the point of adding a new feature because a user requested it on the discussions! Physics of the ball feel good, although maybe it moves a little too fast. The menu’s can be a tad confusing but they do the job once you understand them. Pixel art looks great and is perfectly animated. Overall, if you are looking for a brick breaker game, I can recommend this game without a doubt :)

Defragmented
Thie Review Originally Appeared on IndieHangover.com on 2/29/16 - For the full review; http://www.indiehangover.com/review-defragmented-by-glass-knuckle-games/
When I first heard the announcement that Glass Knuckle Games, creators of the fabulous Thief Town (seriously, Thief Town comes in a VERY close second behind Knight Squad in my list of “Greatest Indie Party Games of all time”) were doing a Cyberpunk RPG. I was excited. It gets said a lot, but Cyberpunk is an often underrepresented genre in media and in gaming. I think that we could see Cyberpunk dethrone Steampunk from its places as the most popular geek sub-culture in the near future, but currently, seeing a good Cyberpunk game release is a relatively rare thing, particularly if you discount Shadowrun.

Textual Summary:
Defragmented starts you off with some of my favorite game music in ages, bringing me straight back to Kung Fury and my adrenaline pumping like only hotline miami could. It’s unique art style for both menu and cut scenes takes my attention, even if the options menu is a bit confusing to navigate.
The art in the cutscenes is clean and stylized, with tons of character and little details being put into place to draw the attention to the entire scene. Though there is no spoken dialogue, and the cutscenes play like those you’d expect in a dating sim, the art style really sells it here.
