Ori and the Blind Forest
Beautiful game and the graphics are amazing. However, if you plan to use a controller, be aware that some of the controls could be switched with keyboard at any time and might mess up a charge jump or an ability. Hopefully they fix this, but other than that, recommended!

One of the best games of its genre, no doubt. Beautiful graphics, amazing music, even the lore is great. Level design and movement are very good with very satisfying feel to it. The only flaws are combat, which is lacking and too simple. There is no difficulity option in this version, and that might be a problem for more casual gamers. And lastly some achievements are bugged, which is a bit annoying for completionists. I would probably suggest playing the dafinitive edition, as it is a little bit more polished, but the game for itself is just amazing.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition
Since I have already posted a review of Ori and the Blind Forest, this review specifically covers the differences in the Definitive Edition and assumes the reader is already familiar with the game. If not, here’s the spoiler-free TLDR:
If you haven’t played this game before and you are interested in appreciating it primarily as a work of art and secondarily as a video game, play the original version first – it comes free with the Definitive Edition, and it will help you better appreciate the differences between the two versions, both the things that were added and the things that were lost.

If anyone ever told me a video game cannot be a piece of art, I would show them Ori and the Blind Forest (soon to be the Ori franchise).
Ori and the Blind Forest is one of few games that recieves very little negative attention (only notable negativity come from those complaining about the Definite Edition release). There is very little wrong with the game itself in terms of gameplay, glitches, and music. The story itself is known for making even the toughest of men cry as well. Everything in the game itself seems to come together and forge a masterpiece.

According to all known laws
of aviation,
there is no way a bee
should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get
its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway
because bees don't care
what humans think is impossible.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Ooh, black and yellow!
Let's shake it up a little.

Steve ol' boy, love your style. came here after playing awkward demension redux. it’s never about the actual gameplay it’s about the art and the feels. games need more phylisophical pointlessness nowadays.
only thing i didnt like were the controls. turning was more of a suggestion rather than an actual control, which made it tough to do the line rides you want. and the gravity is awkward. the wall-riding code made your freefall gravitate toward whatever angle surface you were close to, which would cause mid-air seizures sometimes. but none of these made it unplayable.

GRIS
A great game if you like simple platformers without complicated puzzles.
A terrible game if you like good puzzles where stuff happens. The puzzles are very simple, you often have to just press a button and wait for your character to walk somewhere, and the beautiful artstyle gets really boring once you realize how often everything repeats itself.

A lone female character facing off against enemies that represent mental illnesses while usually in a dim, black and white/grey, or colourless world isn’t anything new. Far from it.
There are plenty out there (Little Nightmares, Shady Part of Me, Celeste, Child of Light, Hellblade, Amnesia Rebirth, Ib, Limbo (but a boy), and more)
So with that in mind I wondered what Gris (apparently pronounced “gree”) could add to the already overcrowded, overdone trope/setting.
It was fun while it lasted. Great art and animation. Nice soundtrack. You can’t die so you go at your own pace. It was a nice day playing it (about 6 hours to 100%)

Hyper Light Drifter
DISCLAIMER
I don’t write a lot of reviews so I know my review might be bad, but I had to for Hyper Light Drifter. It probably says I have 12 hours in this game, but at the time of writing this review, 7 of those hours are from the release build and the rest from the preview build.
Edit Reason: I forgot to talk about how it runs.. Sorry..
Edit Reason 2: Reworded a few things.
Edit Reason 3: 60 FPS patch and a new alternate character for another playthrough!
Kick Starter:
As a kick starter backer, this game has given more that I expected. The preview build of the game was amazing and hyped me up for the release. And I wasn’t let down at all.

It took me a bit of time to compose my thoughts and write up a little on this game. Overall this feels like a tribute to old zelda games mixed in with a sense of souls game type difficulty and execution.
After the intro, which will bore your eardrums you have a brief tutorial that adequatly teaches you how to play. There is your energy sword, gun, dash. Basics of combat and exploration. Outside of tooltips there is no actual text in the game (unless you count the created alphabet and messages with it that is part of the game). This is a story that if you want to fully understand you will have to work at it. Pay attention to detail and reason it out a bit. I personally don’t care. To me primarily gameplay is why I play games. This game at least had an appealing atmosphere and a good soundtrack to help set it.

Whispering Willows
This was a surprisingly fun and polished adventure game. I wasn’t expecting a lot from it when I picked it up in a recent bundle, but I thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through. It has a very polished feel to it with a lot of good going for it from its art style, musical score, sound effects, game mechanics, and even has quite a bit of humor.
It is tagged as a “horror” game, but really it falls more into the supernatural experience than true horror storytelling. While there are elements of creepiness and some scares, it is more of an uneasy feeling of dealing with ghosts and spirits than monsters. There are a couple of instances where you will be shocked, or surprised by events that creep up on you forcing you to run away from danger, but overall the atmosphere is more of a haunted house feel. The music is atmospheric to a spooky story, and fits well with old mansions and graveyards. The music is quite good overall, and mixed with some eerie sound effects you will feel some uneasiness while wandering around the game.

Game overview
In whispering Willows the protagonist is on a mission to find her missing father, who is a groundskeeper at the spooky old mansion because and she fears that a supernatural
force has taken him hostage.
Whispering willows is a horror themed graphic adventure game where you control Elena as she explores the haunted mansion and surrounding properties while most kids her age would be too scared to search through the ghost filled house .
Game Breakdown
Elena knows she has a secret weapon up her sleeve, actually it’s around her neck, her stylist necklace allows our fearless hero to make contact with the other side. Having the necklace give the players the ability to turn Elena into a ghostly version of herself, now she is able to interact with dead people and squeeze through small openings.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture
=^_^=
Prologue: I adore this game. I truly do. This is not simply a ‘Walking Simulator’, it is a Hiking Simulator! As noted in the description: “Featuring a beautiful, detailed open-world and a haunting soundtrack, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is non-linear storytelling at its best.” Indeed, it is a haunting soundtrack, however, it is closer to a melancholy hymn than anything else. So, what about all the other aspects of this game? Well, read on, and I shall indulge you!
Gameplay-Slow, smooth, and serene, dying is just not possible here. So, don’t even bother trying. Instead, simply relax, take in all the scenery, and immerse yourself in the story-line. Who are you? It matters not, but for me, I was a nameless hiker, along the road and also the trail. Will you encounter any other people? In a manner of speaking, yesh. However, don’t expect to see them clearly, for they are nothing more than particles of light. What about creatures and critters? There are a few critters (Like birds) here and there, both dead and alive, so seeing them alive us a plus, at least. Plus, you can open doors, use light switches, radios, computers, and whatnot. Gameplay Score-8 out of 10.

From the beginning everything about this game was promising. You have an interesting story, gorgeous graphics (Cryengine to boot at), touching orchestral music, and what else? Oh yeah, Santa Monica studios, who are better known these days for making God of War BOY! (I had to do that, sorry) working in collaboration with The Chinese room so what could have gone wrong?
I’ve played many narrative/exploration games before, and I liked many of them. I always mention The Vanishing of Ethan Carter first, a supernatural murder/mystery game I loved so much and even though the story was not perfect it went great with to the game world. You believed this could actually exist, not because of the graphics only but also because of the design, the way every object was placed in the world, you believed it could’ve been a real place. It was a pleasure to explore and see the story unfold. It didn’t go on for too long, just the right amount of time.

ABZU
I first heard about ABZÛ not too long ago and was intrigued after finding out that the art director and composer from Journey, along with others who worked on the project had started their own studio and made ABZÛ their first project. The first question I had was, “What exactly is an ABZÛ?” Queue wiki, where an answer awaited:
_In Sumerian culture
In the city of Eridu, Enki‘s temple was known as E2-abzu (house of the cosmic waters) and was located at the edge of a swamp, an abzu. Certain tanks of holy water in Babylonian and Assyrian temple courtyards were also called abzu (apsû).Typical in religious washing, these tanks were similar to Judaism‘s mikvot, the washing pools of Islamicmosques, or the baptismal font in Christian churches._
