Collider

I found this game when looking for a game to play with my kids.

And thy love it works with xbox 360 controller and my own custom controller really well.

Pros of game.

  1. Any controller with 2 sticks works so far as I can tell.

  2. My 3 year old can play the game

  3. My 3 year old can play with my 8 year old. ( and my dad as well and hes 74 ^.^ )

  4. So far no bots but I did talk with the dev and he said thy adding some :)

  5. The 2D art work looks really nice even the background ones are nice and clean. ( art very pretty )

Few words about the game

Collider is a great, colorful arcade game with non-stop energetic gameplay, from the very beginning of it. You get to choose from one of 5 different game types, each with its own unique rules and variety of amazing music in background. Singleplayer is good and challenging as it’s quite hard to achieve good scores alone. Multiplayer however is epic and terribly addictive, I can’t wait for another opportunity to play with someone else, it’s just too good!

Monster Jaunt

Monster Jaunt

This game has that classic Nintendo couch party vibe. I’ve played it with a few different groups of people, and it seems to work well with both frequent and casual gamers. The minigames have a good amount of variety to them, and there’s enough minigames to give it a plenty of replayability. One particularly nice touch is the adorable art of the hybrid creatures in the game. I’ve fallen in love with the panda/andaconda hybrid"pandaconda" and the fiery otter “magmotter”.

Favorite minigame:

I would heartily recommend Monster Jaunt for anyone looking for a new party game.

The mini games give you a variety of challenges that mostly focus on skill and not pure chance. The board game is engaging and yet lightweight enough to be understood at a glance. Nearly the entire game allows for simultaneous play, so you don’t lose engagement while someone else it taking their turn. The Remote Play Together integration works wonderfully, as expected. Being able to play a local game across the country with little detriment is a huge bonus feature for a game like this.

Demons with Shotguns

Demons with Shotguns

This game is like a faster paced towerfall except with demons and shotguns. The gameplay is really fun and addicting but it lacks in playable levels, guns, and characters. It was made with Unity. Hopefully the devs make this game bigger since it really is a hell-of-a-lot of fun. Oh, and its funny as hell too. The angel is the funniest and the commentator sounds like the dude from honest trailers: “Frag em all.” All in all, if you want a funny game the play with your mates, this could be a good hour spent but if you’re looking for hours of gameplay, look elsewhere. Until they add more to the game like interesting levels, a level editor, more characters, more guns, more traps, more awesomeness, I cannot fully say that this game is amazing enough to warrant it a perfect score. I give it a 6-7/10.

Demons with Shotguns is a local multiplayer action game that gets pretty close to the enjoyment of Duck Game, Towerfall: Ascension, etc. Its focus is mostly on using a variety of items to change the basic gameplay of “shoot enemy with shotgun”. There are also quite a few maps to play on so the game rarely gets stale. You can also block bullets with a shield, adding a new element to the game that helps build up the chaos in a 4 person free-for-all. Overall, I still prefer Duck Game, but Demons with Shotguns is still in the rotation when we get together to play.

Stardust Vanguards

Stardust Vanguards

There is no point to buying this game. It’s a local multiplayer game, with no solo campaign or anything to do. Theres a co-op you can solo play but its just fight the same 3 units in the same order for 9 waves on levels with the same background but slightly different obstacles. Theres no online multiplayer. Even if there were the game is boring. You all play the same unit, which can shield, slash, and has a limited number of special shots, and thats it. The worst part is the direction of the slash is the same control as movement, meaning you have to run directly at someone if you want to attack them, which is annoying and counter-intuitive since they can shoot and you melee hit. Theres really no depth as you just use the same 3 abilities. No different abilitities, different characters, etc. Just a bare bones clunky local co-op game, nothing more.

Stardust Vanguards is a great local multiplayer game and a must have for anyone who likes playing with friends locally

I managed to get this game for free through a steam code givaway back around late 2015 and let me just say, it’s pretty good even today. This game has great potential for anyone with a few controllers and some people to play it with. When it comes to local mulitplayer games, this is a must have. Co-op wave based survival with teammates is a blast if you are looking for a bit of a challenge. Not to mention the fact that you can go head-to-head for some versus action, too.

3..2..1..Grenades!

3..2..1..Grenades!

Wow, this game is actually a ton of fun. Its got a lot of little things about it that remind me of playing an old N64 game. The music sort of reminds me of like diddy kong racing or something. A lot of the sound effects are very N64 sounding. Even the quest mode or campaign reminds me a lot of maybe super mario or something. You go around collecting golden grenades which you then use as sort of currency to open doors to other levels to then get more grenades.

There is no online multiplayer so if thats what youre looking for then maybe turn back now but honestly ive been having a blast by myself and with some friends locally. All the game modes are multiplayer as well. Kill eachother all day or team up against the bots. Speaking of the bots, they are quite smart and pretty good at the game.

I reviewed this for Two Credits. You can find the full review, the score I gave it, and some cool screenshots from my time playing here: http://twocredits.co/review/3-2-1-grenades/

Summary:

3..2..1..Grenades! has provided me with some of the most pure fun I’ve had in a game all year. It is fast-paced, hectic, and requires a different skill set than many other first-person shooters do. It also boasts somewhere around twenty levels, which is quite a lot more than many of its competitors, some of which have multiple layouts, and a large number of rules that can be modified. The only thing that is holding this game back from being an instant local multiplayer classic is that it is a first-person shooter with a dual-stick control scheme that may be difficult to play for those that aren’t particularly adept at moving with one joystick and aiming with the other. Other than that, the game is one of the best of its kind, which is perhaps largely due its uniquely limiting premise.

tl;dr: It is ok-ish but Steam has better and cheaper Beat’em up.

Buy only if you love the podcast and you are familiar with Brazilian culture. Or you are going to be missing a lot of the context.

Pros:

  • 4 players (local/coop)

  • Enemies behavior are quite nice

  • Nice maps

  • Nice idea of mechanics

  • Nice combos

  • They managed to do a lot for the game compared on what my friend told em they spend on it.

Cons:

  • It gets repetitive pretty fast. Including the Enemies behavior that I liked during my first play.

Real player with 38.6 hrs in game

How to not make your sh!tty game:

  • Don’t make enemies have invincible attacks that can connect any time, even when you are mashing the button as fast as you can to avoid being hit.

  • Don’t let enemies chain-attack you, one after another so you lose almost your entire health bar in 3 seconds.

  • Don’t give every single f#$king enemy a running attack that they spam at you from the other side of the screen, and even offscreen.

  • Don’t make bosses like if they were stupid minigames where you can only attack every 30 seconds or so, after all the programmed attacks he does are spammed first.

BAFL - Brakes Are For Losers

BAFL - Brakes Are For Losers

Try the demo;

Personal, the championship/custom/quick race i did not care much.

Good effert but should have been multiplayer online as well. but nice shared screenplay.

The challenges are nice to give a try.

Its either time attack or perfect drive.

Bugs:

Pitstop is skippable, and only usefull it the longer/harder tracks.

sound settings not saved in demo.

Ghost mode not working in the demo.

requests:

A general highscore list would be nice (average position in all challenges)

and of couse a trackbuilder :)

BAFL: Brakes Are For Losers:

I have been a car fanatic for many years. In fact, I follow the Formula 1 calendar every single year. Not in person but via Pay TV. In any case, I heard about a racing arcade game where you hardly ever use the brakes, and I thought to myself, what the BAFL is this about?! And then, the light . . . shining above my head with a big inscription – Brakes Are For Losers!

BAFL is retro arcade racing / local multiplayer game where you take on seven other competitive and crazy racers, with a view to winning the mighty BAFL championship.

## DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours

I'm just going to start off by saying I have nothing but praise for this game. With that said I know most STEAM users are going to look at the price point for this and think, "They've GOT to be out of their minds!" No they aren't This game is packed with so much content that I don't think there's a single game of its kind that can topple. I'll even say that you couldn't even combine 3 or 4 games together to get the amount of content that this game has to offer fans of the genre.

Aesthetically this game brings a simple and clean presentation to the table. The UI for ship combat is clean and simple to understand without too much info bombarding the player while they are struggling to keep their ship from a fiery demise. The 3D models are low in the polygon department, yet beautifully designed. Everything from simple cannon fodder enemies to the enormous bosses look great.

Shmups have always been a part of my gaming career. I was never good at them like all the experts going for high scores and 1CC runs, but I always tried to prove my worth regardless. I also always looked at shmups as a 'David vs. Goliath' scenario; a small, one man fighter versus entire fleets and empires. And what better game to start my shmup career on Steam than Dariusburst Chronicle Saviors? Part of Taito's Darius series and home console / PC version of Dariusburst, there's a lot of content to go around in this game. After clocking close to 72 hours of play, is the game worth the price tag and separate DLC? Let's find out.

## OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood

### Even better than first one!

OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood is a hard as hell sidescroll arcade skate game, which is probably the best "skate" game you can get on Steam.

I'm a huge fan of the first one aswell, but in my opinion the developers managed to make a great game even better.

Here's why:

**The positive :**

+ _An outstanding soundtrack._

The first one had a great soundtrack, too and OlliOlli2 doesn't disappoint in the slightest with it's choice of music. It's a mixture of electronica, glitch & and hiphop (artists like CidRim or Kyle Cook) and does just fit so well to game. One of the reasons I like that game so much!

*– [Real player with 19.7 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197997389126)*

Pros:

+ Great, responsive controls

+Lots of content

+Looks great

+Few glitches (other than some clipping with death animations that are mentioned below)

+Very difficult, yet rewarding enough to keep you going

+Very addictive

+ Has free-play mode for all levels

Cons:

- $17 might be a little bit much to ask for a 2d side-scrolling game, but value isn't really a concern if you end up liking the game and pumping hours upon hours into it (like I am likely to do)

- Death animations are hilarious the first few times but are ultimately on the glitchy side with some clipping, and obvious disregard of physics, although intentional, I would've prefered somehting a little less over-the-top

## Fragmental

At $15 I was on the fence for a while about this game. I'm glad I finally just bought it. I knew seconds into the game it was exactly what I was hoping it would be.

It's like a Tron-inspired dual-stick shooter with a glitchy 80s/VHS look and feel to it.

It's multiplayer only at this point. I do hope they add bots eventually, but even if that never happens I'll be happy with the purchase. They could even do a "campaign" with single-player or coop fighting from level to level versus bots.

Great variety of weapons, interesting power-ups and level design. The controls are perfect. It gets a bit hectic when the arena is spinning, sections of the floor are moving, the walls are closing in, and random red balls of death are raining down on you from above. Rounds rarely last 20 seconds. Most are around 5 seconds or less.

*– [Real player with 11.9 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198119835591)*

I think the game is great for the price. Gameplay is smooth, graphics are nice. The only thing up for improvement might be control over the length of the game. I can't wait to see the online multi-player mode develop for this. Excellent early access game for couch gaming.
