Guilty Gear X2 #Reload
From the Creators of BlazBlue, comes Guilty Gear. It is their First Series which also was the First Game for Designer/Composer Daisuke Ishiwatari.
Its a 2D Beat em Up like Street Fighter, etc. but it is much different, since it uses a heavy reference on Rock/Metal Music (kinda like Brutal Legend).
The Characters are awesome in their Ways. Here a short Description of them:
-Sol Badguy: Arrogant Badass Bounty Hunter (and Scientist!). Listens to Queen and is a perfect Role Model for all Men. He uses a Rectangular Sword for more Coolness. Good Allaround Char for Beginners

Guilty Gear XX #Reload also called “The Midnight Carnival” is a Japanese 2D fighting game developed by Arc System Works in 2003, at the beginning for acrade machines only, later for PC & consoles, and in september 2011 finally moved on Steam platform. This studio also created BlazBlue series. X2 #Reload was the most popular title from all GG series.
Game can offer 21 different fight-style playable characters and 2 special ones (Kliff and Justice) which unlocks after beating the Arcade mode. Pick your favourite and fight on one of 15 unique, beautifully designed maps, referring to events of the past (you can check out full, interesting and great considered story on Wiki fandom site). Also, every single character got individual theme made by awesome composer Daisuke Ishiwatari (music is fabulous, owners of the game receive OST in the MP3 format for free, along with other digital extras like gallery of fanarts). All characters got 6 color variants (excluding the simple color editor existence). There’s a total of 8 game modes (includes Arcade, Story, Challenges, M.O.M., Survival, VS CPU, VS 2P and Training to improve your fighting skills) and it’s great for every occasion f.e. to challange your friend (split screen PvP) or to relax after tough day at work.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
If you want to get into fighting games, BBTAG is a good game to start with, combos aren’t too hard and not too many system mechanics to remember. As my first real fighting game experience I’ll vouch for this aspect until I die.
The fact most characters are viable and useful and of course from the 4(soon to be 5) franchises who bring all their personalities and simplified play styles make for a very addicting, energized and fast paced fighter.
My favourite aspect is the fact that if you work on a team enough, you can make any team work.

BBxTagBattle is one of the best Anime Fighters for Fighting Game Newcomers
Overall, if you aren’t put off by the anime-aesthetic and you aren’t looking for the “hardcore experience” of Guilty Gear or og Blazblue, but you still want a game that is highly competitive and challenging, then this is one of the best games to pick up.
The biggest downside is the subpar PC port that Arcsys refuses to fix. The biggest upside is the very entartaining gameplay.
cons:
- Doesn’t have thousands of players like DBFZ, MK11, T7 or SFV

Ahoy,
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R is one of the best fighting games ever made. It was just updated with rollback a little under a year ago and it just received a massive update to the player room system today that, if you just want to play a lot of matches with the time you have, makes it better (faster) than the lobbies used in more recent fighting game releases such as Guilty Gear StrIVe. This game is usually $15 and frequently goes on sale for about $3. The quality to price ratio is the best you’ll find.

GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR-
I played Sign for 6 months, and when I mean by play, I mean grind combos in the training room and doing nothing else as Millia. So, when revelator came out, I was super excited. Unlike Street fighter V’s launch (Sorry Capcom fans please don’t hate me) Revelator’s launch went exteremly smoothly for me.
So, let’s take a look at what the game does well:
+Netcode- HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THE NETCODE IS AMAZING. On average, I get 2-4 frames of delay and it feels like I’m playing on a console offline. Granted, this assuming you have anti-aliasing and post-effects off, but even with everything on, you’ll get 5 frames at the max. The only netcode that can top Guilty Gear’s is Killer Instinct.

This piece of sh*t of a game actually made me go out and buy a fight stick just so I could get better with it lol. I have tried out a bunch of fighting games before, but nothing came close to this. GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR- is the best fighting game I’ve played so far, and possibly one of the best game I’ve played in general, and that’s saying a lot, because I’ve never been into fighting games that much in the past.
The Positives:
- Complex but satisfying fighting system: The game is indeed hard to learn at first, as there are lots of mechanics to understand, but even at the beginner level, you can still pull off some cool stuff and look awesome while doing it. Once you start getting better, things like Romance Cancels and Burst will be easier to get into and you will be able to use them correctly at no time. And although combos are pretty tough to perform, I think one of the way to learn them is to watch videos and tutorial on the internet and try to copy the combo in practice mode, then slowly apply them in real matches, and sooner or later you will be able to do it. To me, that feeling of learning new moves and combos, then successfully doing them against real opponents is what makes this game so great and memorable.

Guilty Gear Isuka
The Black Sheep of the GG Series. I played this a lot on the PS2 back in the day and it is fun when you get past the fact that you have to manually turn. Honestly compared to back then though, we have much more experience and resources to improve the overall experience in playing this game.
I recommend playing on the keyboard and setting the controls similar to the “Hitbox controller” layout, with the spacebar configured to jump for Arcade/VS Mode. For Boost Mode, I recommend keeping the directional inputs to the default WASD, and configuring the dedicated jump button to the spacebar. Start on Beginner for Arcade and Boost so you can get used to the controls. The nice thing is that you’ll still be able to unlock EX characters along the way even at the lowest difficulty setting in Arcade Mode.

This game is pretty much Guilty Gear XX #Reload with worse graphic (because of the scaling), with a turn button (exactly) and up to 4 players coop play.
The game mechanics themselves are not that bad, what is really bad is that they tried to fit Guilty Gear cast, that we can remember for combos and fast pace gameplay (with cross-ups) into a Super Smash Bros fighter killing Guilty Gear itself. Actually they went even further adding a side-scrolling beat them up mode… like I said before, they totally stripped any “Guilty Gear” from this title.

GUILTY GEAR Xrd -SIGN-
After a Dozen Years comes now the next new Installment of Guilty Gear.
Developed with the Unreal Engine 3, the Game features now real 3D Chars (No HD Sprites) alongside some few Cinematics during Play which gives the Feel of Immersive 3D. The Game itself is still played in 2D (Arenas are tough 3D Maps with Impression giving 2D).
You can choose over 16 Characters (some New alongside some Old Ones) each with his own Challenge Course for learning BnB Combos. The Story Mode is now a Movie (estimated 4 hours) without some Interaction, so you can sit back and press only the Text Screens away during Talking between Characters.

+Fantastic art direction/art style
+Rockin OST
+There is an English dub for those who want it. Overall quality is hit or miss; there are issues with delivery, voice clip editing, audio balancing, etc. I find it worthy enough to be a positive
+Very solid gameplay
~The input buffer is slightly finicky; this is my opinion, and it’s listed here as an observation, and not a review point
-This game was played entirely on a keyboard, and using the button configuration menu was a hassle
-The menus use their own fixed button configuration for navigation, and you can’t change it

UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late
As a veteran fighting game player, I can honestly say this is one of the most refreshing, enjoyable fighters in recent years. Not only does it sport a lovely art style, soundtrack and character styles, but it has a very down to earth system that both new and old players alike can enjoy.
The common complaint I hear about fighting games aray in all shapes and sizes, but the one that honestly strikes me the most is how complicated it is to control and the overwhelming amount of information spewed at the player when getting into the genre. The beauty of Under Night is within its simplicity and overall capacity to handle even the newest of newcomers and the most hardcore of masters. Its control scheme is easy to pick up and begin making your own cool looking combos with ease, but it also allows those who are willing to put in the practice pull off long winded, high damaging strings.

Few fighting games have encaptivated me more than Under Nigth In-Birth. I’ve been playing fighting games for my entire life, starting at the age of 4 with Super Smash Brothers: Melee. And after fourteen years of growing to appreciate the complexities of other fighting games outside of the SB lineup such as Soul Caliber, Street Fighter and Blazblue, I came across Under Night In-Birth after it was suggested to my by an over-zealous friend. At that point I already had a basic understanding of how 2D fighting games worked. I could block low on my wake-up and had mastered all of the basic execution necessary to get me started. (Quarter circles, DP motions, that sort of thing). At first glance I expected it to be just another airdasher to add to the pile, primarily due to the anime artstyle and the fact that I had never seen it played at any major tournaments. It all just appeared to be so generic, with it’s anime intro and hit or miss character designs that I felt could be interchanged with other designs of the same archtype. Due to this heavy bias I had already developed before I even got to the start menu, you can imagine my surprize when I went into training mode and found out that I could not instant air dash like in Guilty Gear or Blazblue. It was at this moment that I knew that Under Night would be different from anything I had played before.

BlazBlue Centralfiction
I was actually planning to do this after I complete arcade mode with all the characters but I probably won’t even be doing that anytime soon so I might as well review this game now. BlazBlue has done a lot for me throughout the 2 years that I have been playing the series and I hope others will be able to experience something similar to what I did.
I’ll point this out now so that it’s clear: BlazBlue isn’t for absolutely everyone. I’ll just lay out the points that I think define the game.
