Grass Cutter - Mutated Lawns
Such a fun game! Play it now! What do you have to loose. The music is hype and the artwork in Grass Cutter is awesome. The game itself is simple, or is it? You’ll find yourself repeating the same level to get the best time and score and you’ll challenge yourself to do better and better. When you run into the monsters sometimes your lawn mower will explode! You can choose from many different kinds of lawnmowers too. Grass Cutter is comical, challenging, fun, and addicting. There are TONS of levels so you’ll be entertained for many many hours. I still haven’t gotten to the end :)

I love this game. Looks so simple yet gets difficult later on. You’re always moving the moment you press a button. It is possible to find a spot to park on some levels, but since you’ll still be using battery can’t stop for long either.
Controls are simple: arrow keys or WASD along with any other controls you’ll get as you play further.
The music that plays keeps the game fun for me. They’re not annoying loops or generic music, instead feel made for the game and helps it grasp your attention while mowing the lawn while avoiding grass monsters. I find myself dancing to the beat of the music too!

Blasphemous
Wandering what would it be if Dante’s Inferno (2010) became a metroidvania game? Now you have the answer, it’s Blasphemous! I’ll try to be as brief and honest as possible telling what I saw and experienced during my playthrough.
Before anything else my entire playthrough was during “V. 1.0.6” so, if there’s something missing the devs might have patched it. At this moment the game is on “V. 1.0.8” and according to the devs:
@Blasphemous:
“You’ll also notice that this is Patch 1, which means more patches and content updates will be on their way - launching Blasphemous doesn’t mean we’re finished! - Wed, 25/09/2019”
Knowing that let’s get to move on to the review…

If someone reads this - Sorry for my English.
I really wanted to like this game. But it seems to me that the logic of exploring the map is fundamentally broken.
How does metroidvanias work? At the location, you find obstacles that you can not overcome. –- You explore the location, find the ability. — Overcome obstacles and feel progress. The game designer organizes the game levels in such a way that you can collect the necessary abilities for game progression and explore old locations to find secrets. And in portions, you get more and more freedom to move.

LET IT DIE
I found out about this game while looking at random people’s broadcasts. And i’m glad i got to know about it! It’s released for PS4 about 2 years back and I’m guessing they just port it to PC like a year later?..
Now that said, i’ve only decided to write a review ONLY after about 800+ hrs of gameplay.. yes; 800+ hrs i played this game and only then i’ve decided to say whether it is worth your time/ money on this. This is my in-depth review.

Disclaimer: I actually love this game, but I also love many other games and lying is possibly the dumbest thing anyone can ever do, so I’m offering you my completely honest and objective opinion about the things at hand, which comes from an experienced player and someone who plans on continuing to play this game.
Also, if you like this game, check out the “Elminage” series, “Elminage Original” and “Elminage Gothic” are on steam and you’re going to love them.

Hobo Cat Adventures
A fun and silly 3D platformer with a character and story aesthetic like a love letter to Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Full of silliness, over the top humor, potty mouths, flying body parts, and is a blast! Ride a chicken to get around. Zoom around on an over-caffeinated spree. Roll around with crazy physics as a Snowball. Blast a regiment of rat warriors to smithereens with bombs. Hack em to bits with a chainsaw and collect their heads as trophies. Twang your banjo. Help a very drunk duck deny the reality of his living conditions. Drink Hobo Brew until you’re pissing on plants to rejuvinate the local flora and fauna. Full of little nods and references to it’s inspirations. An overall a silly good time!

So, first of all, I have to say this game was my first Steam purchase and I don’t regret it.
The funny characters, the varied places as well as the many possibilities that the items offer always put a smile on my face.
Some of the collectibles are well hidden but not unfair. The quests that you get in the game are all very varied and do not repeat themselves.
As a German, I don’t understand the Eastereggs that are based on the Swiss streaming scene, but so it piqued my interest to take a look. It was really interesting to deal with it a little more, because I never noticed anything about it. Which of course is not surprising.

Rage Wars
Let me start by saying you would be hard pressed to find a game as good as rage wars out there on the market right now. The only thing that can even come close is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and even then it’s still a clear second place. This game has consumed my life and I know for a fact that it will consume yours if you give it a chance.
Pros:
Cheap- The 1 dollar price tag is nothing. That’s the cost of a hamburger from mcdonalds. Needless to say you CAN afford this game.
Visuals- The visuals offered by this game are nothing short of stunning. From the city to the park, and even the school. They’re sure to immerse you in the world of rage comics.

Sick Way
–——- UPDATED REVIEW: (Jan 17, 2021) ———
This developer is a sixteen year old solo developer just trying to make a fun challenging game and deliver a great value for your dollar. He was only 15 years old when he first launched this game that i reviewed with my brutal and harsh 2 out of 10 score you see below!
He completely re-made this game in February of 2020, and I took another look back then, and again I advised him of the problems with this game and if i remember correctly, I said he was trying to do way too much and it hurt his 2nd attempt to make a fun game.

Interesting!
At first, I was afraid to buy the game because of what someone mentioned in the community hub but the dev listened and has made this a pleasurable experience! Story is actually pretty good and horror elements are well placed.

Blade of Darkness
As it is the case with many other people, Blade of Darkness brings a lot of good memories from my childhood back to me. However, at the time I didn’t understand the game too well, since I was just a child. I remember my cousin explaining to me how to do combos, but after I tried to do them a couple of times, I would just proceed to spam-click the left button. Now, after so many years I finally picked the game up again and, oh, boy, did I have a blast playing through it and beating it at the end! I would say the bosses are quite a challenge, but once you get the hang of the combat, you will have no problem with butchering them. All of the classes are unique and fun to play around with. At first the weapons seem basic, but each and every one of them has its strenghts and weaknesses, depending on the character that’s wielding it. Besides the base damage and defense the weapons and shields have, there are a lot of other different “hidden” stats like range, speed, hitbox radius and so on. And there are so many different places, secret rooms and hidden areas, containing all sorts of goods - food, potions and the best of all - special weapons with unique powers and moves you can perform with them! The enemies have patterns and at first they are a bit difficult to follow, but around the mid-game you are bound to be hacking and slashing body bits left and right. There is nothing more satisfying than dismembering Orcs and leaving their remains in a puddle of blood!

Neither Day nor Night
The Game is amazing, if you like 2D Platform you can’t not give it a try! Extreme challenging, some area is crazy and the difficult scale when you go on through the game.
You will die many times for sure, and you have to improve for reach the next checkpoint! (there are many for our luck!)
Some part can be a bit “stressfull” to find the exact timing or doing the best jump for reach a platform, but this is the challenge , you have to improve and use your mind for find the solution, and it’s extremely satisfying.

Neither Day nor Night.
Well, let me clear the air with I am Not a platform gamer, however! With that out of the way I must state this was truly a little gem.
For normally not having a love for platform games, I find myself smittened with this game.
The art and animations of your deaths I found to be honestly pretty detailed that they were addictive almost to watch.
The game has 0 issues telling you to ‘Git Gud’ and all the issues I did have were user input (Cause I suck) but it didn’t make me want to give up.

The Surge 2
The Surge 2 is nearly a universal improvement from the first game. It’s still far from perfect, but it’s clear the game was created with massive amounts of fan feedback. Deck 13 has shown they are determined not to just make a Souls clone, as this game innovates even further and brings the combat complexity and combo potential far above any Souls-like, including Nioh.
Gameplay:
This is the main selling point of The Surge 2. The gameplay is so full of nuance and complexity, while still being even more approachable than any other Souls. All your attacks can be cancelled into dodges or parries, allowing you to deal with large packs of enemies without needing to worry about getting caught in slow move, watching your character slowly swing into their certain death. Your basic 2 or 3 hit R1/R2 combo is replaced with at least 4 hits per attack, but mixing the two creates alternate unique combos with new moves (R1 R2 R2 for example.) With the new cancelling system, you can really go crazy with huge combos, then instantly switch to defense when you see an incoming blow. It’s a fantastic design shift that lets you always keep up the pressure.

Despite the fact that it took me exactly two month waiting for dev to fix some issues so I can finally play the game smoothly, The Surge 2 successfully brought back my joy to the first game with improved system, upgraded arsenal, and story sequence to the ending of first game.
Things I like about The Surge 2:
1. Improved Energy System
The Surge 2 turns the energy system into vital combat element. In the first game, the usage of energy is limited to drone attacks and excecutions. Besides finishing weakened enemies, the energy is useless in combat. The Surge 2 recognizes this problem and reworks the system to something revolutionary. Instead of drones, energy system now ties with your healing injectables. This decision is bold and greatly enhances the battle intensity. If you want to heal, you need to be aggressive, frequently attack your enemies to gain energy in order to produce healing injectables. Turtling is ill-adviced and can often expose yourself in situations you wish you had full health to deal with.
