Togainu no Chi ~Lost Blood~
I want to mention that I played this game in 2006 and might have massive nostalgia goggles. I absolutely love this game and can recommend it to every BL lover who seeks something more rough. (I also recommend getting a certain patch from a certain website for little money as the Steam version lacks certain contents)

A Pretty Boy Goes to Prison
I want to say I have mixed feelings about Togainu no Chi, but the truth is I really enjoyed it and at times loved it. Still I have some issues and reservations which I’ll try to explain in this review. Togainu no Chi is the first Nitro+ Chiral BL game and one that appears to have been a great influence especially on DRAMAtical Murder. It’s also a game full of yaoi tropes, good and bad.
The setting is post-apocalyptic Japan split in two with Tokyo in the middle left as a lawless wasteland. The most dangerous district, Toshima, is a home to Igra, a game in Slavic languages, but one played to death. It’s actually kind of like a gladiator- street fight hybrid. Akira, the protagonist, is forced to participate and try to beat Il Re, the legendary phantom-like entity that is the undefeated king of Igra. This turned out to be a part of something much larger and life changing.

Psychiatrist Simulator
You will probably need a real psychiatrist appointment after playing this game :).
Game description:

Like a doctor, you will need to try to take care of every patient that visits you, by understanding their issues through a Q&A system.
You will decide what to do with your patient - schedule a new appointment, decide if you will prescribe them meds or send them to the asylum - it’s up to you.

I honestly don’t know if I have been trolled or not with this game.. I would not buy this game.. It had potential, but I don’t know if this is a joke game or not.. I would like to note that I played through the full 14 days – if I’m going to review a game – I am going to play through the whole thing – it took 3 hours – 3 hours I will never get back – I am legit mad!
First and foremost I feel as though there should be trigger warnings in the loading screen – there are comments about telling a client to go kill themselves, there are real pictures of people who have cut themselves, some of the options that you are given as the psyche are really quite disturbing.. On the other hand of this – I guess it’s an alright tool to learn a little bit about mental health disorders and how it can affect people – I mean, these are very much exaggerated stories, and I guess these people are probably not acting like that out in the real world – but you learn a bit – I guess – trying to find some positivity here! I can see though, that research has been made when it comes to the diagnoses and the medication required to help the treatment of those diagnoses.. YES A PLUS! But even if you think you have the right stuff, people are apparently still going to kill themselves in the end – even the ones you put into the mental hospital..

sweet pool
It hurts to say that but I’m gonna change review into negative one. That flow of emotions I had after I had finished the game I’ll keep unchanged but the situation with the devs/moderators is so ridiculously insane, I don’t want to keep silent. That’s not how you treat your players. At first after months of uploading screenshots I got the steam ban, there was nothing inappropriate there. Believe me, I have children under 18 among my steam friends, so I pay thorough attention that all mature content must be uploaded with private settings. At that moment I “worked” as the curator in the largest steam group devoted to visual novels and that was it. I couldn’t upload ANY screenshots, for ANY games. That froze my work and entertainment but why… no explanation. The dev just commented that their stuff must have been “overzealous”.

The ultimate female horror
Sweet pool is an unforgettable, gut twisting and tragic yaoi body horror visual novel from Nitro+(Chiral), creators of many esteemed BL (and other) vns. Body horror and erotica seem like a match made in hell, first explored in movies (Cronenberg being the most obvious example) and this game is a worthy addition to that tradition. What sets it apart is that it’s yaoi, gay erotica. But make no mistake, this is a female horror through and through.
Anyone familiar enough with yaoi knows it’s primarily written for women and it rarely deals with actual gay issues. It’s an interesting, and very Japanese, phenomenon that provides a safe distance for exploring some more uncomfortable and darker female issues and fantasies. And that’s never been more clear than in this vn. Yaoi goes where otome dares not. To top it all off it has strong omegaverse vibes and that’s another interesting phenomenon originating from Western slash fandom and serving the same purpose. I was actually very surprised to learn that sweet pool precedes the oldest omegaverse fanfic, so it’s clear there’s some fascinating two-way street influencing going on, from Japan to West and vice versa.

The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories
It’s not often to discover the games that manage to tie concept, world design, and story together perfectly. It may fly under people’s radar because of weird preview trailer and self-harm concept that could be very sensitive for someone. “The Missing” is a puzzle-platformer game with story driven narrative developed by White Owls Inc. which is directed by Hidetaka Suehiro (a.k.a. SWERY).

The gameplay isn’t super spectacular or anything but it’s good enough and a good execution of the concept, there’s just a few hiccups (a pretty cryptic puzzle, Route 65 is a bit bugged, in my playthrough i clipped through 2 different walls, one of those instances was a softlock, some achievements sometimes not working properly) If your’e a fan of other 2D puzzle platformers you’ll probably like the gameplay, the movement is very limbo
If the heavy concept of this game isn’t something you aren’t sure you’d be able to handle, do be cautious, the warnings on the store page are very well warranted

PARANOIHELL
Great pixel horror game! Has many rewarding endings and an excellent story to piece together!

Alright, here we go.
The Good:
Paranoihell carries its atmosphere very well, with a number of scares and imagery to convey the whole city falling apart in a state of madness. I’m unsure of the lore, but there does seem to be a connection to other games by Lum, notably Search Party. Though I can’t say for certain of the other. Sound direction is good, keeping a tense atmosphere the whole while, shifting whenever you’re spotted by a zombie / corrupt person, or worse. Healing can be sparse, but that only lends to both ones ability to dodge, and the sense of danger that the game carries, with only a few select items such as HP upgrades which will max out your HP.

The Ghost of You
I love stories from the bottom of my heart – whether in form of a film, game or book. Even music tells stories, and when I stumbled across text-based game in the depths of Steam, I was very excited. The Ghost of You combines book and game incredibly well – while also telling a complex and unique story with many, many details and amazing, believable characters. The descriptions already create a dense atmosphere which is wonderfully supported by mainly piano music and some sound effects. The writing style is simply astonishing and pulls you deeper and deeper into poor Libretto’s life.

I just finished my first playthrough of this game, and I must say that I am absolutely blown away!
The characters, both the main cast and villains alike, are all endearing and loveable in their own ways. Everyone here has a story, and I felt myself driven to uncover as much as I could about everyone, and delightfully frustrated when the answers I wanted dangled just out of reach. The horror was well placed without coming across as cheesey or forced, and the music as well as charming 8bit visuals did an excellent job of setting the mood.

Conan the mighty pig
Honestly, this is the best game I have ever played in my life. The graphics are beautiful yet the game can still run on even the slowest computers. The breathtaking graphic design of the pig is the definition of perfection. Don’t wait for a sale for this gorgeous game, please just buy it as soon as you can. Please.

STORY
Conan the mighty pig has a story that is open to much speculation. It is implied by the title that the pig you play as is named Conan and was for some reason granted the epithet, “the mighty pig,” most likely earning it for proving his strength during combat. Ironically, Conan does not display any strength and has to sneak around tougher opponents and has to use herbs to get past bees. After years of owning a farm and not making profit (speculation of the story told without dialogue) he decides to move on from the farm and look for truffles. Truffles can potentially be very expensive in a larger size and are found in the ground by animals like pigs and trained dogs in real life and are profitable if the time and effort are put in to the labor, so it is reasonable that Conan would make the choice to look for truffles. He sets off on his quest to find one hundred fifty truffles.

Disney Planes
A really nice game. My kids like it and it has some simple modes (free flight, balloon pop) that even smaller children can play and have fun. The graphics are nice and the controls are good. The only thing that annoys me a bit is the limited and repeating phrases during races.

This game is fun, you get to play as most of the main characters from the Planes movie. Story mode is pretty neat, other modes available. My biggest complaint is the on screen prompts are generic buttons, only thing that differentiates them is color. So it’s hard to tell what controls what. Game settings are just device choice, ie gamepad or keyboard; no mapping available. Using my gamepad I was able to figure out the controls, but for keyboard, it’s almost impossible. Once controls are figured out, it’s a great game.

A story that keeps you hooked from start to finish.
-
Thinking and deduction skills are actually required to solve the mysteries.

-
The soundtrack fits the atmosphere.
Cons:
- Sentences require a few moments to piece together, but it’s not too difficult to understand.

First of all, I’d like to say,
UWU OWO furry time hee hee. Owo Notices your blood stains. Did somewon do a kiwwy wiwwy? Hang them -w-. But, this game is not just fun if you’re a furry. Seriously, very fun to play. Play time for me was about 18-20 hours, but most was silent contemplation and there was a fair bit of offscreen thinking too(I try to predict who did it, with little success, because these murders are quite hard). Kinda a point and click style adventure where you pick up clues to try to solve several murders. But, you really do have to step away from the computer and think as to what happened/contradictions in testimonies, as some are very subtle. The characters feel individual and have interesting personalities. Some get killed off quickly, buut that’s to be expected. The murder trials are fun, and you really have to be thinking the whole time, as the slightest flaw in a theory might make the difference in the suspect. There aren’t too many story-influencing choices, mainly to get funny dialogue quips but there is one great choice you can make at the end, which kinda makes you think “if someone’s going to be killed because you find out the truth, and the truth really won’t change anything in the end, is it really worth getting that justice? Would the guilt that person has be enough? Wouldn’t there life be worth more than their death?” Props for that.
