Mortal Kombat 11
MK11 step aside, MKX goat. I played for 184 hours just to realize MKX is better, and MKX is way more affordable. If you want to try it, sure but it’s not worth it, maybe the graphic is good but the gameplay and mechanics are bad. Thank you for your time.

first ill start with cons:
i don’t like how they changed kombo breaker, made the game feel slower, gave higher advantage to zoners, there are less combos and they added custom variations which can be fun but complicated for the new players.
visually i don’t like character design choices, some armors look like they’re made out of plastic, character faces are much less attractive, and every female character magically lost all the thickness since the previous games.
pros:
new gameplay mechanics, flawless blocking and counter attacking which demands more skill from the player, krushing blows, fatal blows, lot more skins, towers of time. MK11 is more complex compared to the previous games in the series which in my opinion is a good thing. aside from some character designs, visually game is beautiful and well optimized.

Paint the Town Red
Paint the Town Red is a medium-paced bar fighting game with a large variety of weapons and enemies now and here to come. It still needs a bit of optimization, but the devs assure us that the game will be optimized as the game progresses (And updates.)
The enemies are completely destructible. You could dissolve someone if you have enough time and the weapon doesn’t break. All the voxels on the enemies have different properties, with bone being the strongest natural voxel and skin being the weakest. (You will be able to damage Riot Helmets later on, but those aren’t natural.) Additional fact, is that if a enemy’s brain is damaged in anyway, they will instantly die, if they don’t, its a bug.

Punch the square people. Do it. Punch them.
A great sandbox fighter game with a lot of options to play and replay various scenarios and workshop access, allowing for a near infinite supply of content.
The game also has a rogue-like dungeon crawler on top of all the sandbox fun that initially existed, adding what is the value of basically a second game of a different genre, with similar mechanics, on top, for absolutely free (That’s what I feel about it, as I bought the game in early access, wayyy before Beneath was even on the table). Beneath is a great dungeon crawler, with many different levels, mechanics and upgrades to take you through the different bosses of the game, most of them with their very own environment and even full levels with new enemies, just to build up to another boss fight.

Melon Simulator™
I cant stop. Playing. Making maps. Playing those maps. Changing something about said map. Playing again. There isnt much here currently, but for 6.99 cad you cant go wrong. Tons of maps most of them usermade on the workshop but there are some really well done maps and ideas on there that will keep the wave based gameplay from getting stale. Hopefully one day we get guns. So i can spam all of the maps ive made with them and make a melony mess.

You’d be surprised but for a zombie type game this is fairly original.
Let me explain.
Weapon Originality
Most zombie games would throw guns at you, and to get weapons you have to pay for them.
In this game you have melee weapons and to find them you need to search around the map, or find them from random generation.
BUGS
Bugs are noticeable but not outright making the game unplayable. These bugs I often notice playing with friends and can be annoying, but Early Access game is gonna Early Access game.

Slice, Dice & Rice
Disclaimer: This game has no online support so keep that in mind when you look at its mixed review rating
Slice, Dice & Rice is 1on1 2D Fighting in it’s purest form.
On the surface, the one hit kill mechanic may seem arbitrary and make some characters feel unbalanced compared to others, but if you take the time to learn
a) the different functions of your 3 attack options (vertical, horizontal and heavy)
b) the parry button and your movement abilities
and most importantly
c) how these first two options flow, link and cancel into each other

I am a man of my word, it would appear the issues below have been ammended. I can recommend this game!
This is my first negative review on Steam. Hopefully not permanent as the basis of this game is great but is only let down by button response. And seeing it’s a game based on dodging, timing and parrying it doesn’t leave much hope.
It’s a fighting game similar to mortal kombat but you only have one hit to kill. Against friends it’s great as you can have a laugh at others misfortune but against the CPU you really notice the input issue. A mistimed dodge, parry or jump can be lethal so for it not to happen when you ask is a deal breaker.

Blades of Gory
I love this game! The polish and little details really give it a charm that makes you want to replay it over and over. The mechanics of the game itself are similar to fighting genre games that reward footsies/neutral play. You should also understand that this game is DIFFICULT. The bosses take different strategies to defeat and you have to think about how you’re going to approach it or you WILL die.
This is also a great game if you’re into speedrunning! It has a good run time for a speedrun and lots of interesting visuals for the viewer. Getting the mechanics of the fights down feels very rewarding in the context of a speedrun. There are some speedruns on youtube that you can check out if you’re interested.

Pretty fun little brawler. Best part of course is the pixel art, with detailed sprites and nice animations. Final boss is such a BS, but the journey to him is quick and fun. It’s not that hard, really, just don’t overthink it.
