Grass Cutter - Mutated Lawns

Grass Cutter - Mutated Lawns

Such a fun game! Play it now! What do you have to loose. The music is hype and the artwork in Grass Cutter is awesome. The game itself is simple, or is it? You’ll find yourself repeating the same level to get the best time and score and you’ll challenge yourself to do better and better. When you run into the monsters sometimes your lawn mower will explode! You can choose from many different kinds of lawnmowers too. Grass Cutter is comical, challenging, fun, and addicting. There are TONS of levels so you’ll be entertained for many many hours. I still haven’t gotten to the end :)

I love this game. Looks so simple yet gets difficult later on. You’re always moving the moment you press a button. It is possible to find a spot to park on some levels, but since you’ll still be using battery can’t stop for long either.

Controls are simple: arrow keys or WASD along with any other controls you’ll get as you play further.

The music that plays keeps the game fun for me. They’re not annoying loops or generic music, instead feel made for the game and helps it grasp your attention while mowing the lawn while avoiding grass monsters. I find myself dancing to the beat of the music too!

DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One

DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One

I really wanted to like this…

But in the end, I didn’t.

Some gameplay spoilers and one MAJOR story spoiler ahead

So, Doom Eternal. I loved the fuck out of this game, despite being relatively different game than Doom 2016. Eternal gave so much more than standard Run&Gun gameplay that you see in most shooters, modern or old. You got various types of demons, which required personal approach to each of them. More mobility to bolt around the arenas. More tools to help you survive the vicious onslaught of Hell’s armies. And, by Slayers balls, juggling all of these was FUN.

Introduction

DOOM Eternal was my most anticipated game of this year, which managed to exceed my expectations due to its amazing singleplayer, of which I loved every moment. So, I was naturally thrilled to hear that we will get two additional campaign expansions. And I am delighted to say that The Ancient Gods – Part One is a fantastic expansion, which I loved playing as much as the original campaign, and I cannot wait for the upcoming Part Two.

Even though this expansion is playable without owning the original game, I would still recommend getting the original DOOM Eternal first because the expansion throws you right into the action without explaining the basics.

Super Pig X

Super Pig X

As someone who loves challenging games and 2d platformers it’s almost like Super Pig X was designed for me. The controls are extremely fluid and smooth, the levels are extremely fun. The Vegan mode is a clever and playful addition. The dark world levels, the glitch levels, and who doesn’t like bacon. This game is one hell of a task to 100%. . Highly Recommended. The only negative would be the overworld. Dying during the levels is one thing; Dying walking from level to level just to light your way can become tedious.

Crazy, challenging, fun and a little addictive in the “one more level” sense. Nothing is impossible, although close calls might drive you crazy, but the satisfaction after finally beating particularly challenging levels is great. Strongly recommend if you like a challenge and enjoy games which test you and troll you (aka subvert expectations… hardly anything is what it seems at first glance). Would stay up all night again to complete, 10/10!

Yumori Forest

Yumori Forest

This game needs some reviews on its page, who knew it would fall flat like this?

Yumori Forest is a melee focused roguelite(lite). While Ruin of the Reckless goes for a more aggresive approach to combat, this game takes the more methodical side.

The gameplay is very simple. Find 3-4 lanterns in each level, activate them, and kill enemies along the way. The occasional boss fight as well. It does this with pure simplicity, doesn’t ask you to do much else with upgrades or anything else. You upgrade a few different stats at the end of each level, and there’s a couple permenant upgrades in the menu to grab (I don’t think any of them are actually required to win, which is a nice change of pace). It’s more arcadey and less about items and decision making. That can either be seen as a great thing, or turn away potential players.

A simple-looking game with a bit more depth than one might expect. Doesn’t do a whole lot, but it does what it does very well. Excellent semi-minimalist graphics style, nice sound effects, appropriate balance. Fast-paced skill-based fighting. I would compare it very roughly to dark souls.

BUTCHER

BUTCHER

Butcher is a game that is deeply rooted in the violent, gritty run-and-gun games of the mid-to-late 90’s, and does a perfect job of recreating that feeling while still retaining its own unique identity.

First off, let’s talk graphics, since that’s the first thing you’re probably gonna notice from this game’s store page. While taking obvious visual inspiration from Abuse (1996)’s dark and grimy run-and-gun action and the gory violence of Doom, Quake, and even Liero, the game still manages to create its own, entirely consistent low-resolution aesthetic.

Real player with 55.8 hrs in game

BUTCHER is a lovesong to the type of game that concerned moms and the media imagined when the ESRB was just a twinkle in Senator Joe Lieberman’s eye. You are an emotionless Terminator-style robot sent to eradicate the last vestiges of humanity in an assortment of bleak environments like foundries and cyberpunk cities. Your victims gasp and gurgle as they bleed out, or get eaten by mutant wildlife, or crushed by machinery; oppressive electronica thrums in the background of each level.

You get the idea.

Faux

An extraordinary little gem. Can be hard sometimes, but that’s all about Faux, trial and error. Very innovative level design. Smooth gameplay. I highly recommend. Also the music is great as well.

It’s a 2D platformer that requires precise jumps in every step you take.

The character’s speed changes in every level sometimes he is slow and sometimes he is fast.

I liked the level’s were the movement is from medium to fast as it’s faster to move around and restart the level when I die, when the gameplay is slow it just feels like an underwater level which is never a good idea and the music …. not a fan.

It’s very challenging it starts you will notice from level 2 the difficulty jumps.

I’m couple of levels deep and i’m dying like (A lot) but I’m having fun and looking forward to the next levels.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

a great game that continues the story of Hotline Miami and takes place, before, during and after the first game. The second game is told in kind of a Quentin Tarantino way, jumping back and fourth in the timeline. It is not necessary to play the first game before this one but i would recommend it, since i believe that the first one is also brilliant. If you are a fan of the first game there is no reason why you would’t enjoy this one.

Real player with 563.7 hrs in game

I regret not playing this game sooner. As someone who loves fast-paced shooter games, Hotline Miami 2 hits the spot. In this game you have to embrace death in order to do well. Accept the fact that dying a lot is an inevitability or you won’t have a fun time playing this. I didn’t do that any of that initially and suffered greatly. Eventually I just decided to throw safety into the trash, and I did far better then before. My only real complaint is the level design. It ranges from: really well made, to okay, and then to downright annoying. Thankfully most of the levels fall under the first two categories.

Two Till Midnight

Two Till Midnight

Two Till Midnight is a first person horror story game about a guy in a mansion, followed by a monster that is bound to the house. While you search for important items and what is going on, you constantly have to fear to get killed by “her” whom will wander around and react to the slightest noise you make.

I was beta-testing this game so I’d say that I have quite the knowledge about the game and after around 30 hours I can say that I do really like the game. There are some points that I do not like about it, but I’ll write everything in this review, the positive and the negative aspects.

Good Game/Concept, The only thing I wish is, more optimization, Because the game can fall back on the FPS at times. Otherwise good. 7/10.
