宇宙终极秘密-灵魂The ultimate secret of the universe:Soul
I don’t think this philosophical introspective piece should’ve been a game, the medium made it seem tedious and convoluted for what may’ve been a truly innovative new way of thinking.

Monolithic
So I really do like the idea of this game, and I did have a lot of fun playing it!
However I think the tutorial should be a little expanded? I still don’t quite understand how capturing the cities work and I played a few rounds with a friend.
I wish the sandbox had monoliths to fight so I could practice there, and I think it would be helpful if we could pick the Monoliths we’re using in the sandbox mode so that we could practice them against others.
Sometimes when you play the tutorial it freezes up and doesn’t actually play, but that can be remedied by closing the game and opening it again.

I recommend this game only because it is free. it seems like the game needs a little bug squashing and there is no single player. HOWEVER, I like the idea of it, the UI works, the art looks good, and the music is great! Here are some videos of gameplay and a broken tutorial:
Without multiplayer, there is not much to sink your teeth into, especially considering that the tutorial broke on the second “playthrough”. I would not suggest getting your hopes up for this until the player base expands or you have friends who are interested in playing.

Primeval
Despite the game being early access it’s fully functional and certainly enjoyable, lots of potential to be a great game.

I really love turn-based games and stumbled upon Primeval on the turn-based lovers website, which then lead me to Steam.
Primeval has a lot of potential, the Developer is cool and a nice guy. He is working hard to make this game a very unique experience. I have played turn-based games for years and I haven’t come across anything like this before, which is what I love about it. You enter the game in ‘God Mode’ where you create your domain with terrain hexes, various fantasy/monster units, and spells. There is an ever-growing selection of these and I know the Developer has lots more in store! You spend essence to create the land, units, spells and buildings. You build your castle on one of the terrain hexes, this must be protected at all costs or you lose the game. When you are happy with your domain set-up you then enter a live turn-based match (3 minutes per move) against another person(s) and the domains created by each player will then join together, with a few random hexes added in, these random hexes will have neutral owners. Randomly each turn three hexes then produce resources according to their colour values (green for Forest, red for Volcano etc) which can then be used to deploy your units onto the domain or cast spells. There are buildings that increase resource yield, help defence and more. It’s a typical hex game where each type of terrain incurs a movement cost for a unit, dependant on the units move value. Each unit has unique actions and some abilities to attack enemy units and damage buildings. Once your castle is lost you are returned to God Mode and your domain is amended accordingly, where upon it can be amended ready for the next match. Spend those essences wisely! It would make a really good table top board game (worth a think for the Developer) The Developer is working on single player mode, more achievements, more units, more actions, improving the UI and is clearly very passionate about it. I am excited to see how this game continues to grow, as I find it charming, addictive and a bit of a brain burner! If you like turn-based hex games, based on fantasy, that feel like a board game, or just fancy something completely different then I highly recommend it!

Terra Firma
Well here we go. First some background I love such water/ geography simulations: Just had +100h in From Dust, Sim City 4 (Editor: Erosion) and in the editor of Cities Skylines. Just watching the water flow around :)
And I’m working as an engineering draftsmen in building construction, civil engineering and hydraulic engineering. We are just a too small company for something like Flow-3D Hydro, etc. but this software here, as a free thing is just enough to play endless hours around.
I would love to see the following things:

First: a caveat. It’s not got a lot of content- yet. However, the roadmap looks pretty satisfying. The developer is responsive, and the game is quite detailed already. Like many simulation games, it is a simulation. In addition, unlike most simulation games, it works on a mediocre computer like my own. I’ve seen games half the size I could never consider playing, but I can play this. It has a few bugs, but nothing game breaking. it’s pretty fun to watch and try to direct rivers, lakes, mountains, and forests.

Heliopedia
It’s a cute little game, but the inventory management is a real pain. The planets and their surroundings get quickly cluttered and that takes a lot of the fun out of the game. Would be nice if we could delete stuff more easily than dragging it all the way to the sun. The game doesn’t feel ready or polished, it seems to have a bunch of bugs here and there as well. Also I was hoping it would be a bit more realistic/educational but it’s really more on the same level as Little Alchemy ie. Stick + Bug = Stick bug. It took me two days to make sand, because I thought the logical route would be rocks but no, obviously I needed to make bunnies first.

Cute little game, but ran into game breaking errors.
If you try to charge batteries under a thunderstorm, it crashes your game with a FATAL ERROR message. Poop doesn’t dissolve in water, despite what it says in the journal. And there’s no keyboard option to quickly pick up a ton of items instead of clicking over and over again, which will strain your wrist. You can also lock yourself out of progression if you run out of materials or have trouble cooling down planets.
I really enjoy the game, but it definitely needs some fixes and fine-tuning.

MouthSimulater: MelonSeedsCracker

Characters are a bit underdeveloped but the plot really begins to shine in the second act. There’s a lot of charm to this one and while it can be a bit rough around the edges I think those who love character-driven romances will find a lot to admire in this one. I recommend anyone who’s a fan of those classic, older-style visual novels to give this one a shot

SudoKats
Welcome to the Dark Souls of Sudoku games. It plays just like Sudoku, but with different options than a numbered title I also found on Steam. There’s no way to check your work here, so if you made a logical mistake you might have to undo the entire puzzle to find out where that is, which requires spamming the undo button.
I tried erase, but it didn’t do anything. That said you can choose notes which places kittens in the squares as notes to avoid fighting with adult cats. They’ll fight if a cat of the same kind is in the same row or column.

This game is very nice and cute! I would however like for a few changes to make it purrfect:
-
Add shortcuts with the ability to edit them. This will reduce all the clicking and make it easier to finish a round. I would suggest shortcuts for: switching notes mode on/off, up/down/left/right for choosing cells, shortcuts for each cat color (from 1 to 9), a key to enter a cat in a cell.
-
Add other identifiers for the cats for those will small monitors or color blind people.
-
Ability to zoom on cats.

I was hoping for a decent hack’n’slash. This game, however, is a soulslike wannabe. Combat is stamina-based, and your stamina bar is big enough for a few rolls and a hit, so you are rolling constantly, and then waiting for the bar to recharge- there’s no flow to the combat. There’s a target lock feature, but it only locks the camera on the enemy- the MC doesn’t automatically face the enemy, and you strike whenever you are facing, so this can lead to some frustration, There’s the option to block, but in my experience this just drains your stamina quickly, and then you start taking damage-though maybe there’s a parry window I wasn’t hitting. There are 4 tutorial prompts in the opening level, but I could only read 2 of them, because you’re forced to fight immediately and non-stop, so it’s possible I missed some game mechanics info. Your health items do replenish after beating certain enemies, so that’s a plus, at least. The fact that you can lose some health just from bumping into an enemy, or get hit even when they are attacking forward and you are directly behind them is not so nice.
