Spooky Spins Remastered - Steam Edition

Spooky Spins Remastered - Steam Edition

If you’re into slot machines, this would be good for you. I like the spooky theme. It seems like an actual port of a pokie, only you can’t lose all of your money pressing the spin button all day.

Dull and boring.

A prime example of why you shouldn’t play slots in real life.

25 lines and yet most of the time I won nothing.

You have unlimited cash, took me 10 minutes to spend 20k+. No history of how much you got credited for or won.

Only way to get out of the game is ATL+F4.

Good thing I only paid 30 cents for it from another website Otherwise I’d be asking for a refund.

Time to uninstall and toss it into my junk games folder.

Goofy Golf Remastered Steam Edition is what looks like a Unity asset flip for a basic slot machine game, where the developers have lazily slapped on some golf themed images and a grass texture. The way the grass texture is so lazily slapped on really makes me wonder if they put more than 5 minutes effort into this. Take a look at the screenshots!

There’s a bunch of slot machine templates on the Unity store, they’re all pretty bad, and this makes it seem like the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. As gameplay goes, it’s a really mediocre experience. There’s far better slot machine emulators on Steam if it’s the kind of thing you really, really wanted to do instead of playing a real game like CS:GO or Stardew Valley or whatever.

I like this game, I really do. However, I do have some complaints.

  1. The kicking game is not well thought out.

  2. Whoever said this game is based on physics is way off base. I don’t know how many times my guy gets caught and tackled from behind and yet I can’t catch up to a guy. OR when I have a clear path to the QB by both LB he some is able to step out of the way and run the ball passed both guys and then he is able to find a hole and get passed my linemen for a gain of 10 or more yards. So that doesn’t make sense, especially when when I do a running play and I try to sidestep or speed burst and automatically get tackled.

It really hard to recommend this as rough as it is. It’s kind of hard to call it a football game as rough as it is.

Smoothing & Polish there is none.

Everything is extremely abrupt and rough. The animations the transitions. The menus. Nothing is polished nothing feels finished and nothing feels complete. Getting a TD feels like whiplash as it jump cuts to an endzone dance, at break neck speed. They should of spent less time on endzone dances and more time on collision boxes.Which is seems like they did. Instant replay’s are a button press option given at random by the game. So if you want to watch that move or hit again. FORGET IT. Much less saving them. They’ve not yet offered me a replay on a play I actually wanted to see. Individual player stats are also given at random by the game. And only your teams basic stats and run pass breakdown are given in game.

☐ You forget what reality is

☐ Don‘t look too long at it

// !! This is with all graphics settings maxed out. The game gets a degree worse every step down from max texture settings. !! Graphics are fine, nothing to write home about. Identical models are repeated throughout in a small space, greenery has no texture and the sausages are grey. The rubber flooring develops a DDPAT pattern at night when the reflections bounce off it. Vehicle Interiors are generally fine although resolution has been lost due to optimisation, just dont scroll in and you’ll barely notice it although in the LF24 the interior is just messed up. Exteriors can be fixed with workshop skins although out of the box, they are forgivable. Not many cars on the roads, none drive by the fire station probably so that AI collisions or detrimental interactions dont happen during a callout. If you turn up your ped count, the traffic mimics more of a small town rather than a large city like Mulheim and same can be said with car traffic. Variety for both cars and characters are rather limited as for the latter, full characters are generated rather than pieced together randomly and the former, there just isnt enough colours to make it liveable. //

I am someone who enjoys firefighting games a lot so I really want to like this game, here is my review of it:

This game should not have been released in this state. However I do think it is playable.

Bugs, there are a lot of them, from mirrors that completely obliterate performance to non functioning equipment (all essential equipment works).

Content, there seems to be very little. From what I have been able to translate (more on that later) they planned on releasing more calls/incidents in the days/weeks after release.

MY 1980’s DASHBOARD

MY 1980’s DASHBOARD

I like these kinds of racing games, they’re really fun and not many people are making them, so it’s cool to see someone is supporting this genre. Overall it controls well and it looks good, there’s only a few little complaints I have with it. For the aesthetics, when you’re playing in classic mode the speedometer isn’t pixelated, the font isn’t very good looking, and I think the background is always a snowy mountain and pine trees regardless of what level you’re on. For the gameplay there’s not much to change, drifting would be great addition because slowing down to go around a sharp turn is really unsatisfying, that’s really it. The music is empty sounding and none of the songs made me exited to drive. I think I heard all the songs, tracks don’t seem to have their own music, it just picks a random song from a little library, if I’m wrong then maybe the songs sound really similar.

This game is a throwback to the racing games of the 1980’s (hence the name).

There’s no fancy graphics, no relistic handling, no gears to worry about, just straight out race to complete each stage before the time runs out.

There are a handful of pleasant chip style tunes and sound FX, both of which can be toggled off if desired.

Control is by keyboard, or use a utility such as Xpadder to map the controls to your control stick/pad of choice.

The game is very easy to play and FUN. Good for a quick game when you have a few minutes or even an hour or two, trying to beat each stage.
