Tabletopia

I have a premium subscription to Tabletopia. Based on several games over the past few weeks, I can say that this product is a great sandbox for playing Tabletop games. That said, I’ll point out some caveats.

The community is generally positive though a bit too small to have games running 24/7/365. It’s hard to find a game or players. That said, they do have organized events for teaching and playing games and are expanding the roster of teachers/organizers. Also, after the game reaches final release; more players will be able to be available. Game discussions are generally positive and feedback is welcomed.

This game is nice because its free however it doesn’t even hold a flame to Tabletop Simulator. This game has some games I have yet to see on Tabletop like S.C.A.R.E. Tactics however this games paywall is painful to say the least. This game contains DLC like Tabletop does but this game also has a subscription system. A vast amount of games are limited in some way because of the need for a subscription. An great example would be Sub Terra. It used to be completely free. Now they added expansions and made it DLC. That isn’t really a problem however they also put the base of the game which was free behind a pay wall. Previously me and 3 other friends would play for free now its only free if you do 2 player coop. Issue with that is if you select 2p coop instead of 1-4 players it restricts your survivor options to only 4 cards instead of all 8 options.

Sophie’s Dice

Sophie’s Dice

SUPERB dice tool. The best I’ve ever used, and believe me, I’ve used a LOT. It might seem weird at first, especially if you’re coming from Tabletop Simulator, but believe me. Give it a chance and play around with the customization tools and you won’t be sorry.

Features like expressions (being able to automatically explode dice, exclude dice from a total based on context such as when rolling for D&D stats, and more are now essentials for me), automatic grouping and rotation of dice after the roll, and various ways to count dice have really made this my one and only dice roller.

I use Sophie’s Dice as a dice roller for my Tabletop Roleplaying game group. Absolutely love it. Plenty of options, beautiful design options. Most importantly, the dice roller is extremely fair.

Version 1.1

Love the new design options, particularly the Magic material type. They added a “realistic rolling” function that makes dice act more like their more physical counterparts. I’ll never use that feature (I’m all about that randomness), but I’m glad they give that option. They also make it clear when it’s being used, so you can’t be sneaky during game sessions.

English:

Game installs problem-free on Windows 10.

At the start of the game, the first problem comes to light:

you are immediately in the game - without any possible volume settings etc.

Also no help, which functions there are in the game …

You are constantly playing in the same screen area and can only click left or right to change direction or to shoot around there, with the figure itself running in the previously selected direction within the screen area, which is why you find death quickly and often, especially since the opponent is simply short show up without warning. So a very chaotic control and programming.
