Is this game a masterpiece? No, certainly not. It is still an interesting cyberpunk adventure with some shooting, stealth and hacking.

In the near future, everyone wears an implant in the head, but your implant is different. It has been modified without your knowledge, and it seems that someone wants to kill you because of that. You have been working as an unimportant employee at Securtech, and you obviously got this experimental chip as a guinea pig. All your colleagues who also got the experimental implant have already been eliminated. What a nice coincidence that the person who designed the experimental chip, the busted CEO of Securtech, also has a little problem atm, and needs your help. Maybe you two can help each other?

Foreclosed

An atmospheric cyberpunk shooter with interesting comic book aesthetics and a pumping soundtrack. Gameplay feels a little repetitive but the story is short enough to keep your interest.

Foreclosed is a narrative driven cyberpunk shooter set in the style of a graphic novel.

Evan Kapnos awakes to the news that the company who owns his identity have gone bankrupt and his account has been foreclosed. He has lost his job, his implants and access to areas around the city.

After completing the ENTIRE game, i can now give a review.

So the game starts off with Samuel D Jenson a long time mechanic who has always wanted to race. He was so sick of being in the pits of the race instead of actually racing. Well, this all changes. On Febuary 26th 2094 Sam gets his big break. in the middle of the Spacetona 500, sponsored by Sprint and Can-Am, the driver experiences some heartbreaking tragedy as his grandmother passes away and is announced over the comms inside the ship. Feeling undetermined he pulls into the pits and resignes as driver for the m&m’s car number 18. As the crew and managers scramble to find someone you volenter as the driver, and is accepted. Now the game starts when you are thrown into the race and you end up winning. 3 weeks later you find out the driver has killed himself.

Gunlok

Gunlok

Gunlok is one of those very underrated and obscure games that most people have never heard of. I was in 2nd standard in primary school when the game was released; I was in 9th standard when I first played it, and today I am a banker in my late twenties. I personally loved this game and it is good to see that the developers are having another go at it. I hope more people play the game and get to experience the fun.

What I liked compared to the original 2000 version:

-If enemies are behind walls or on higher ground, it will show “Target obscured” instead of having your characters shoot away at them.

I played this originally a long, long time ago, but back then I didn’t get very far into the game. The graphics are so so, there’s a bunch of issues with the mini map, AI is dumb, and it crashed a couple of times, but it has this old school kind of vibe that can be very captivating. Easy to get into, not too many mechanics, but can be a bit challenging and lets you figure out things on your own. I wouldn’t call it a hidden gem, but I find it fun and something a bit different.

Nulldrifters

Fun graphics, cool music, and cheap price. Except the controls are terrible (and never explained, you have to figure them out), there are no options to change settings/key bindings/etc, and there is no multiplayer. Not to say it isn’t entertaining: the challenge of battling the game’s poor controls to try and get a good time is kinda fun. If you think $2 is worth an hour or so in a cheap racing game doing time trials, go for it. Otherwise, forget about Nulldrifters.

I completely forgot I wanted to give this game a recommendation.

It’s pretty barebones but it’s clearly well made and a labour of love for a really low price. If it had netcode and a small but dedicated community it could become a real cult classic.

Take Control

Take Control

Welcome to the future! The golden age of genetic engineering!

After many years of human DNA research, the head of Change The Future Corporation offered the world transgenic implants that pushed the boundaries of human capabilities.

Telekinesis, pyrokinesis, X-ray vision from the comic book pages have become reality.

New abilities shook up the order of things. The army is expecting perfect soldiers. Companies are issuing an ultimatum for their employees to be modified.

Anyone with enough money can purchase an implant that will give them a “superpower” from the constantly expanding list.

Scientific progress leads to an increase in unemployment and the discontent of ordinary people who refuse the implants. Modified criminals are appearing all over the world.

The police cannot control all the “superheroes”. However, the research of genes and the expansion of the list of abilities do not stop.

Change The Future Corporation makes a statement about creating its own security unit that would protect the interests of the company from the most aggressive opponents of modification.

Soon after a new security detachment takes on the responsibility of detecting and neutralizing criminals with superpowers. Its name is DNM (Detachment for Neutralization of the Modified).

You are an operative of Change The Future Corporation, who received an experimental ability to control other people’s consciousness after voluntarily undergoing genetic modification.

You arrive at the corporation’s training ground to pass the obstacle course to fully master the new modification.

Take Control is a single-player action game with puzzle elements. You take on the role of a DNM operative with the ability to control the minds of others.

Features of the game:

Your mind is your main weapon! When the ability is activated, time will stop, and you will switch to the tactical mode.

Study the situation and the environment, come up with a solution for a specific problem, capture your enemy’s mind and force them to execute your plan.

After exiting the tactical mode, the clock will start again, and you will find out whether the actions you chose will let you achieve success.

Use your ability to neutralize enemies!

Or to solve various tasks.

The World of the Future! Over the course of your playthrough you will get to experience an amazing world where the boundaries of the human body have been erased.

Use the environment! Fire-extinguishers, switches, terminals. You are surrounded by objects that can help you win.

Improve yourself! You can’t change your ability but you can improve it!

I See Red

A frantic Twin Stick Shooter that embraces destruction

I See Red is a frantic experience where you can wreak havoc and bring entire ships to crumble. Everything that you can interact with, you can destroy. Every cover and detail can explode into pieces. Use this to your advantage to expose your enemies. You can also brutally execute your foes with your own hands.

Fight your way through the entire galaxy, invading spaceships from Human, Robot or Aliens races, each with their own weaponry, augments and more. By completing challenges, every time you begin a new playthrough, you will be able to experience new unexplored paths, more powerful skills, never before seen fearless enemies, the most incredible abilities and more. Make your runs more diverse every time you start anew and find new ways of achieving your vengeance!

A story of vengeance, violence and pain

You are an outlaw, crawling about the infinite black space, in search of the person that did something horrible to you. In fact, you are so focused on your quest that you started to not care about your surroundings that are alien to your goal, making them look muted, but what you do care the most it would always be in RED.

Now, corrupted on the inside, you’re tormented to find out what happened to you to be this way.

Key Features

  • Your multipurpose arm, a Grappling Hook, that can latch onto the environment to bring objects at a distance, and even to your enemies to brutally murder them!

  • Everything is destructible: break down a column to uncover an enemy, grab a weapon, empty it, and throw it at their face, and then do it all over again until the entire room is broken into pieces!

  • Become stronger with each run by finding components that upgrade you in every way.

  • UNLEASH YOUR RAGE! Every time you damage (or get damaged), your rage increases, until you can release it and mutilate every enemy in your path instantly!

  • A dynamic music system that adapts to the current mood of the fight.

Monolith

Monolith

I have only really played for like an hour so far, but the game is pretty solid already. What I have seen though is promising, and I hope this game doesn’t end up like other early access nightmares.

Pros:

I only have used Mjolnir and Aegis so far, but from what I could tell they were fun. I plan to try some other stuff for my next play through.

The bosses that I seen where pretty cool.

The upgrades for the weapons mostly looked unique, it depends on how many you get per playthrough, and if they alter the way you play at all.

Real player with 8.1 hrs in game

I’ve never really played any games like this one, newer and also less known.

However I will tell you this, after my 5 hours of in game experience (Many more to come) I can say without any doubt this game deserves a lot more attention, I actually have no idea why it’s not.

There’s really some unique and to be honest genius features that I’ve never really seen used in a game.

I highly recommend giving this game a chance, the current price is a steal, definitely worth a lot more.

I will definitely be paying attention not only to this game but also 202-N Studios.

Sheng Tian (升天) - Episode 1

Sheng Tian (升天) - Episode 1

Really creative game for learning. Kinda feels a bit like Myst, very laid back and relaxing but also a productive way to spend some time learnign some new characters. I’ve been learning Chinese for a few months now and this game reflects that skill level, it is for beginners for sure. I do wish the puzzles were a bit more complicated and challenging but that might make it more stressful so it’s an interesting trade off. Overall the game and level design feels creative and unique. Worth the price for sure!

Real player with 25.0 hrs in game

Pretty short, even for a first episode, and the game play was a little slow even for an educational game. Not bad, but hoping for more in the next releases. Perhaps incorporating mouse control. If you’re learning Chinese this can help break up the boring other stuff you’ll have to learn. Will update after/if episode 2 happens. Thanks for the learning game.
