Nice puzzle game! Well designed levels with a nice soundtrack. Price is right. Only wished there were more levels. An editor would be nice too!

This is one of the best concepts of a first person puzzle game I’ve seen in a while, everything is very polished. The puzzles are pretty casual. The price is right. I just wish there were more puzzles. It’s like a combo of Q-Beh The Atlas Cube and Portal. Please make some DLC or another game! 10/10

The way of programming is very simple, just need to set a variety of built-in instructions provided by the game; however, as long as they are arranged intelligently, their combination can play a lot of unexpected effects!

Even if you are a novice, you can also manually set a fixed program to bypass the maze and reach the end!

When your program ability has improved, you can make the program more intelligent, so that they are not just mechanical execution of the program, but will be flexible simple intelligence!

This is an excellent game so far and twisting perspectives make a challenging puzzle. I have had mega frustration on some early levels trying to complete it, seeing the solution but jumping to progress ends me up in the soup again and again. Ahhh ! MUST…COMPLETE…Noooooo, splosh. This is a good sign of a compelling game, thus far.

Anyway, being left handed, I am somewhat frustrated with not being able to use the left, right,up,down keys which to a lefty is natural on a keyboard. WSAD is not natural for me and its taking me time to get used to the lack of key mapping.

I think I actually hate this game…

Level 25 is a buggy, unfair, pile of garbage, but the main issue is that none of the mechanics consistently work the way they are intended to. Instead of creating unique, thought provoking puzzles to boggle the mind with the interesting concepts behind most of them, we are forced to go through jump pads that don’t always have the same strength or orientation somehow, abysmal platforming with lead shoes and terrible jump timing, horribly precise timing elements that are near impossible with the clunky controls, and a game that wants to pay homage to Portal, but is probably closer to the initial alpha that one of the valve developers programmed into their TI-84 in Pre-Calc…

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WITH MOTION SICKNESS

Ergo is a Physics Based VR Puzzle game; designed similarly to other puzzle games, designed around VR

You have started your new job at a company called “Ergo”. This company consists of secret agents, however before they can send you out for your first mission, you need to go through training…

After being loaded into the wrong application, Ergo’s enviroments are simulated through Virtual Reality with the main focus of button based testing, with each test varying in difficulty and uniqueness.

This will be your training ground, getting you equipped with movement, puzzles, enviroment hazzards with many obstacles and new mechanics being introduced along the way; including the merge between a old virtual office and a testing enviroment, who knows maybe you’ll see it yourself…

Monobot

Monobot

A solid puzzleplatformer, even if it weers more towards precision platforming by the end. Which can feel unfair at times, as the controls can feel sluggish and not too responsive where precision is needed.

Nonetheless I had my fun with the game, it lasted me just over 13 hours.

I rate it as a solid 7/10.

Monobot is a charming physics side-scroller platformer developed by the small indie dev team of DreamSmith Studio, which tells the story of a little robot and its journey towards self-awareness.

You play as Mono - a “Modularized Orientative Non-weaponized Operator” robot that wakes up in the 24th century in a warehouse ruled by other machines. Initially, Mono can only pull or push cubes, climb ropes, open trapdoors and activate elevators. As the game progresses, each of his arms will be replaced by functional modules that will allow Mono to gain two new abilities. The first one is a mechanic similar to a grappling-hook, where Mono can attach himself for a few seconds to certain areas and is pulled towards them like a magnet, while the other one is a small-range teleport ability which allows him to switch places with a targeted cube. All of these mechanics will be heavily used throughout the whole game in solving puzzles of various difficulties or dodge the only type of enemy - a sentry robot - which requires you to move stealthily around it. Most of the puzzles are not extremely difficult to figure out, but since Monobot is a physics platformer, they often require a lot of precision, timing and control over your movements. Many of these puzzles also have a certain amount of iterations / steps, and failing one of them will have you start it from scratch again. The game has a very good autosave system, and these checkpoints are encountered often enough, but you will usually still need to replay the whole puzzle if you happen to fail a jump - which will occur quite often during your first playthrough. Monobot is a game in which you don’t really know what to expect next and in which you learn by failing and retrying.

Outside The Box

Outside The Box

What would happen if boxes were used for more than just storage? What if they could float? Be controlled at a distance? Outside the Box gives you plenty of different boxes to overcome puzzles with.

Outside the box takes place in a futuristic setting where virtual reality has become an everyday item. You are one of the few lucky people to get selected to be a participant in the ongoing trials about a new fully immersive virtual reality experience. The other participants get to go on great adventures to other worlds while you get stuck with… new boxes? Complete puzzles using these diverse boxes and slowly realize that maybe you were actually one of the lucky ones.

(Note: Gameplay is NOT in VR, it’s only a story point)

#### Different Types of Boxes:

  • a Glowing Box, perfect for lighting your path

  • a Metal Box, too heavy to stack on other boxes & throw around

  • a Floating Box, this box does not listen to gravity, it’s so light that you might throw it too far

  • a “Rewind Box”, you can record its movements for 5 seconds then it reverses through everything it just did

  • Portal Boxes, press “Q” on one of these to teleport to the other one

  • A “Control Box”, using the arrow keys on the keyboard you can control this box from anywhere in the level, this will be one of your most powerful utilities.
