Zephyr

Zephyr

In the 24th century, Earth is overpopulated and humanity is forced to spread out to other plants to secure more resources. Extremely powerful corporations vie for control of new planets, hungry to exploit their resources and secure more power over other corporations.

The battle for corporate rights to planets has been organized into a fast-paced, violent battle sport where hovering combat vehicles called Zephyrs race their way to victory in the Interplanetary Battle Circuit. You are a Zephyr pilot, racing under the banner of your corporate sponsor. Now you must race, dodge and fight your way across the finish line in a battle for glory and for your life.

In Zephyr you can:

  • Choose a corporation and pilot their Zephyr, each with unique stats

  • Pilot your Zephyr in a first-person view

  • Bring down your opponents with your turret-mounted cannon

  • Collect power-ups to improve your Zephyr’s offensive and defensive capabilities

  • Race through beautiful, maze-like cyberpunk arenas

Note: Multiplayer is not supported for this release due to the age of the game, though all original multiplayer content is included.

I love very simplistic games and this was one of them. The gameplay, design and soundtrack

give the game that cool retro feeling. And the story is there just to give the

gameplay some meaning, wich works just fine. All in all it was worth my time and investment.

I really hope theres a sequel coming, because I ran trough the chapters really fast without much difficulty.

So a bit more chapters and more difficult ones with maybe some new enemy types would be fun to see.

Also it would perhaps be more logical to have a leaderboard for each blood rain map instead of just one.

Played the game for 2 1/2 hours, here are my thoughts.

Fairly simple top-down shooter. Minimalistic and easy to get into. The upgrade system is a nice touch, giving your more bullets per shot and eventually more health to survive longer. Has the arcade feel and a difficulty that isn’t too hard. Additional endless modes just let you enjoy the game and try out changes to your build without interfering with your storyline game. The “retro” screen effect option is a nice touch as well.

The enemies are reskins of each other as you progress in levels, so there’s really no variety. Also too a good chunk of the enemies have an effective aimbot on you; they will lock onto you instantly and follow your movements. This can make battles against larger enemies super awkward. The controls aren’t well-defined and you don’t know that you need to hold both mouse buttons to shoot. Controller support is non-existant even though it says fully supported. Also there is no new game feature or a way to overwrite your current game due to the cloud saves, so unless you pull some Steam trickery the game has almost no reply value outside of the endless modes.

Tactical Vanguard Saga

Nice game sofar,, but right now it seems only the first Mission is playable, it will not let me continue to the next Map after the 1st intermission.

For a Game that lasted less than 30 minutes 4€ is a bit much, hope it will bne updated in Future with more Missions.

For now sadly i cannot recommend it

A slightly-edited worked example of TShadowKnight’s SRW Engine MV, featuring some unique assets but just one stage that’s all of 15 minutes long. So, this is blatantly unfinished crapware trying to get money out of people by promising a game but then not actually creating the game.

Can’t recommend buying this for any reason.

Planet RIX-13

Planet RIX-13

This review was written in English and Russian in purpose to save your money and time.

I have mixed feelings about Planet RIX-13, it’s neither a great game nor a bad one. I’d like to give this game a “neutral” rating but Steam doesn’t allow me to do it.

So I decided to «thumb up» the game because I hope the developer would polish his game.

Planet RIX-13 pretends to be so called “old school pixel graphic point-n-click adventure”

There’re few puzzles in the game and they are rather simple so you don’t need to look for the game’s walkthrough.

I liked this little adventure game. There is nothing new here – it has all the same tropes that you have seen before in a hundred other games (restore power, fix the computer, read emails, find codes to unlock new areas, etc etc etc) – but for what it is, it is nicely done, with a surprising amount of polish for what I assume was a first effort at game development. The only thing I would like to see added are some ambient sounds, or maybe a futuristic soundtrack to give the game a little more atmosphere, however I understand there was probably no budget for that sort of thing. Overall, a short and sweet adventure that can be 100% completed in under two hours.

Angry Space Bees

I LOVE IT! I love the classic graphics. I love the music for sure! It’s simple, elegant, and fun! My ONLY request would be to make the shooting button right-CTRL instead of left-CTRL. I can cross my arms up anyway, so it’s not a deal breaker. It’s definitely worth adding to your library.

Born Punk

Born Punk

A former combat hacker, a corporate CEO and a malfunctioning android get possessed by mysterious, otherworldly entities and must band together to save themselves and uncover the entities' origins. Talk, puzzle and explore your way through this (often humorous) cyberpunk thriller.

Bornholm. Today, a quaint island in the Baltic Sea. In 2155, a sprawling metropolis able to compete with major world powers. Thanks to the Space Elevator, a technological marvel built by Bornholm’s corporate consortium, The Conglomerate, few nations on the planet are more influential both in industrial matters and space exploration.

In Born Punk, the player slips into the role of three people (well, two people, depending on your stance on artificial lifeforms) living on the island: Eevi, a corporate combat hacker turned bartender down on her luck; Mariposa, the CEO of Bornholm’s biggest corporation; and a malfunctioning android who calls himself Grandmaster Flashdrive.

The three characters have one thing in common: they all, one after another, get possessed by strange entities of unknown origin and even less known intentions. They must work together - and sometimes against each other - to find out of the nature of those beings, what they want, and why they seem to think that their ‘mission’ is of vital importance for the future of humanity.

Key features:

  • A classic point-and-click adventure experience: we’re very proud to feature our own distinct style, but we are also definitely influenced by games like Monkey Island or Beneath a Steel Sky and try to please both veteran afficionados of the genre and newcomers alike with a traditional pixel-art appearance and a streamlined, modern approach to game design

  • Movement everywhere: you won’t feel like you’re walking through a still life painting; Born Punk’s world is alive and full of animation, soundscapes and small details to discover

  • Choices and consequences: often, it’s possible to approach dialogues and puzzles from different angles. As a result, interactions and dialogues with other characters, the difficulty to overcome certain obstacles, and the results of many actions will vary greatly depending on what the player chooses to do

  • Full voice-overs: every character in Born Punk and every line is voiced by professional voice actors. Yes, that includes the cat.

  • Bombastic music: the main theme and various other tracks are composed by Jeff Kurtenacker, composer of Wildstar and choral arranger of World of Warcraft. Jeff is joined by a merry band of synthwave musicians to create a genuine and emotional cyberpunk/sci-fi soundtrack with a Nordic twist

  • Let’s be serious, it’s funny: Born Punk is science-fiction with heavy cyberpunk influences; but we’re also boasting a hopeful, often humorous undertone. Point & click adventures without at least a bit of humour are unthinkable to us!

  • A comprehensive universe: there’s a slew of background info to read and experience, all of which becomes available in your PDA as you interact with the game world. Sometimes, in-game lore will also serve as an optional gameplay mechanic.
