Hanoi Puzzles: Solid Match
Titles based on some old physical game are almost always a good choice, as long as the developer does not stumble along the way! Fortunately, Hanoi Puzzles: Solid Match is no exception. The implementation of this version is impeccable, and the fun from the original game is undoubtedly present here.

Solving all puzzle levels is easy. But finishing them within the sugested number of moves is not so easy.
Solving 5 levels in less moves then sugested, is a real challenge.
Recommended game for puzzle lovers and achievements hunters.

Hextones
Mentally stimulating yet relaxing game. It’s good! I was looking for a replacement for Ishido which I can no longer find for PC. Hextones retains the stone placing challenge that I love in Ishido but expands it. Each stone in Hextones has six instead of four sides. Learning new strategies after years of playing Ishido with only four sided stones is surprisingly fun. Hextones also has incremental challenges where you must get 6 sided, 5 sided, 4 sided, 3 sided and 2 sided correct placements to pass to the next tier. This is more difficult than just accumulating points. The music is hypnotically good. Well worth the price.

Futuristic Puzzle for a Good Price! This is similar to previous square grid “tile placing” games we’ve played, but this time it’s hexagons, and the scoring is a little different.
The music and visuals seem relaxing, just don’t get worried as you’re running out of space to place tiles!
(It would be cool to have more various play modes, including one that lets you remove some tokens from the board so you can play longer! Also, it’s nice to have multiple backgrounds and tile sets available, if possible.)

Hanoi Puzzles: Flip Match
A simple change in the game mechanic gives the puzzles a new way to solve. I am just as happy with this game as the previous version.
Some puzzles are straight forward early on to learn some basic concepts of moving and solving. Then later the solutions are not as obvious and you get to plan out your moves. But if you dont want to solve for the minimum moves, you can just move as much as you want. Being able to move to the next level with the “correct” solution, is huge for me.
The music is still calm and fits the style. Some of the music is a little bit… stronger or more aggressive compared to the previous game, but still calm and in the background.

Hextones: Spacetime
This game bring to us a new thing that i really loved
Now we can use our unconscious competence in a game mode with just 5s to act
So we can practice and learn without timer and put our brain in a tough test and see if our learnings are really deeply embedded
Great Game!!!

This game is so much better than the first one! The stellar archive is very cool and the soundtrack is awesome! The new time mechanic is no joke, you need to think fast, but the freeze time and swap commands help you get through it. The new options of hexgrids changed everything and the hardcore mode is for pros, but the classic, soothing mode is there too for the oldschoolers. Congratulations Nukearts! Keep up the good job!

Sid Meier’s Civilization®: Beyond Earth™
Alright, here is the lowdown.
I had been anticipating this game since it had been announced. I also had played a bit of alpha centauri, so I was interested to see where this game would go.
The Good:
-
Some of the issues with 1UPT have been solved. I am still not a fan, but floating units helps you siege cities easier, which as somebody who has 500+ hours in civ (playing emperor/immortal) I appreciate this greatly. This effect comes in more late game.
-
Cities don’t get built instantly, which is great. I think we can all agree that it is annoying when you are 1 tile away from a settler who makes a city right before you get to him, and now suddenly, you have to come back with an army. Instead, they have an outpost, which is far easier to assault. This prevents the computer and other players from making low-risk, high reward cities all the time. They have to actually consider where they are building this outpost and defending it.

Writing this review to give my take on the “mixed” state of the current reviews.
tldr; If you’re a die-hard Civ fan like myself, then heck yeah. If you’re uncertain, just get it on sale because it brings alot of new stuff to the table. And also, space.
I’d like to adress one point first of all, which is a reoccuring thing I notice in the review; I see people saying it should be a mod for Civ V rather than a full game which is something I strongly disagree with. I’d even go as far as to say Civ 6 is more similar to V than BE is to V.

Final Theory
Final Theory is basically turn based space combat with different classes of ships pew pewing each other. It’s a great little game that keeps being updated and improved (so updating this review - again).
If you’re looking for an in depth space strategy, this is not for you, as it’s more tactical space combat at the core, however with the latest version there is now some strategy involved in how you configure your Fleets, based on the numbers you can have and the upgrades you have against certain hulls (Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship etc.).

65/100 Challenging + Frustrating ..mmh, rather not play this without reading ;(
EDIT: ..NEW DLC Royal Navy (Dec 2020)
***PLAYGUIDE scroll down
decent game (runs on tablet/notebook) with quite some flaws, so the fun is limited and that´s why most players give up after some hours.
Not sure I keep on playing this, it´s a real chore ;(
Main Limiters are:
-
only 1 move per turn (so wasting moves can be deadly)
-
AI is quite good even at Novice level
-
Frustration comes when you are head to head with AI and lose by 1 move to start Final Thesis Nuke ;((

Age of Wonders: Planetfall
This game is easily one of the best newer strategy games (i.e. 4X style game) currently available for single player in my opinion, period. I’ve had a lot of time to try several of these sorts of games that are considered the top games in the category lately. Civ, Total War games, Stellaris, Endless Legend, the list goes on, but I always come back to this one.
NOTE: Many of the reviews for this game were from when the game was released, since then they did a massive update that re-balanced the game and overhauled several mechanics. A lot of the comments in negative reviews were from a year+ ago using the old mechanics. This game is being actively improved / patched as of Oct 2020 from what I’ve seen and they’re still releasing an expansion.

As the game is now, I do not recommend it.
I played the entire series extensively, over 4.000 hours over all titles of the series, for me personally, they changed things that were good about the game, and kept things that were bad about it.
City Siege
The first thing that is really noticeable and changes the dynamic of sieges entirely, they removed gates from city walls, those were replaced by militias and defensive towers, however these militias don’t have mods, and you can’t aim the towers, so any other troop that attacks the city will be stronger.

BasCatball Mars: Basketball & Cat
the game is really good, the graphics and animations feel like an arcade game, as it really is. it doesn’t get too overwhelming easily, the gameplay is simple, but the characters have unique skills, which makes the game more interesting, and also more cool. in the game there is the possibility to change the music which helps not to get too heavy, in short the game is incredible, even more so for an indie studio, with lots of fun and very reasoning stages, good for training the brain and having fun whenever you want, it’s cheap, good and light, a good choice for any audience, I recommend leaving the option to return only 1 shift, so as not to have to return the entire phase, and to think about adapting to android, it would be very played, already that most casual gamers are on mobile devices. but in general the game is excellent, congratulations to those involved and I hope many other games in the future.

Blast-off
An innovative premiere indie arcade physics based matter anti-matter title which is essentially a vertical runner. Blast-Off differentiates itself by using physics based propulsion. Essentially you are an anti-matter sphere traveling to leave a matter based universe. Through interaction with game assets you are able to generate propulsion upwards towards your goal.
The shooter element is implemented as you encounter matter based spheres which look to ruin you and end your game. Using a variety of load-outs you “blast off” each piece of matter. The closer the sphere to you when you eliminated it from the play field the more propulsion you generate.

At first glance I kinda liked this game. A unique backwards shoot em' up. In order to keep moving you need to gain momentum from shooting enemies in a close proximity below you and use the explosion as forward force. Or fly over the green or blue boost pads along the level. You can also unlock a teleport ability to switch “lanes” quickly. This Movement mechanic was new and exciting… for about ten minutes. Unresponsiveness become a problem as soon as I tried taking the game seriously. Infinite mode sounds like you would not need to hit boosters or enemies to keep moving forward. Like a zen mode, but no, it is rage inducing all the same as challenge mode. You have a few thrusters on each side of your pod that control direction. They are sluggish simple as that. It feels like sliding on ice. I think we all agree we don’t like that feeling.

World Order
World Order is a brand new real-time strategy game where you will plunge into a conflict between 3 space powers for control of a strategic space sector, which will lead to world domination. In terms of gameplay, World Order is different from all existing RTSs. The system of modular units is the main feature of the game and you are not limited in your style of play, since you make your entire army for yourself, and not with ready-made units.
